Fall colors are excellent for November early days. Lake is so striking when the sun looms over it. There are some trails for those of you who are feeling adventurous. If your kids wants some fun, there is a nice park with a small zipline. Sorry the beach is closed due to Covid 19. Kindly follow the Covid 19 guidelines. These is a fixing pier and boat launch.
We parked here to eat our milkshakes. Lots of folks enjoying the playground,,, the ziplines were in steady use! Folks having picnics and just enjoying the Beautiful day. In the 20 minutes we sat there 2 boats launched, a pair of jetskis left and another pair returned. No swimming at the beach allowed right now.
Boat ramps. Dog park. Playground with several slides on 3 levels. Zip lines for kids. Pavillion with picnic tables and grills. Fishing dock. Just about everything you could want in a lakeside park.
I only give it a two for its walking trails. As for the nearby cop hangout, the paying for admission during summer just to park which I refused to do $7 are you fricken kidding me? The view muddy water and peoples over the top McMansions. A nice crushed quartz beach if you are a rock enthusiast.Trails are nice but short and go nowhere. Picnic tables could have a barbacue. Unfortunately could fish but too high levels of PCB in the lake.Swimming? Nope unlawful unless you pay and during summer all small fenced area water fenced in are you kidding me very sad.FYI not paradise and not great why any one would like it here so dont even know.
Ive only ever been here on a weekday, so Ive never experienced any crowd. With four kids ages 8 amd under, this is the pefect place for them to play in the sand and splash around. There are life jackets available to borrow, and there are 4 life guards on duty. Its nice to let my novice swimmers play safely. With that said, this is not the place to go if you want to swim laps. The water has never been more than 5 feet deep when Ive been. The bottom of the lake is covered in little rocks, so water shoes are helpful. And there are fish everywhere! Still, its a great spot for families with tona of picnic tables, a playground, place to rinse off, and family bathrooms. You can bring coolers, umbrellas, canopy tents, etc. And $5 a car is a great price!
Nice lake to relax. Cool clay bottom. Stains clothing orange in a cool way. Wonderful breeze!
My wife and I along with our grandchildren visited the park June 5th.We were told there was no wadding in the water, beach us closed, bathrooms are closed, playground closed as well.It is time to open up. Why cant bathrooms be open. You have two Porto Johns which are worse than a bathroom.Ranger came around with bull horn telling people to get out of water!Enough is enough!Open the park!
*************6/14/2020**************** THE BEACH IS CLOSED. SWIMMING IS PROHIBITED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS.2 YEARS AGO: Very cool park, playground, lake and small beach waterfront where you can dig your toes in the sand or take a dip in the water. There is also a boat launch, fishing areas and walking trails. Great place for couples, family, friends or kids.
Awesome place, great boat access, very clean surroundings and very safe!!!
Very upset that its not open. The park is even closed.
First time there at sunset. It was just our family. Super clean and well maintained. Watching the sunset on the pier was beautiful. There were trails everywhere, a dog park, volleyball net, playground, and a bunch of picnic spots throughout. Outdoor showers, restrooms, boat launch. So much we werent expecting. Definately a spot we will return to.
Amazing and quaint little place. 4 lifeguards who are extremely attentive to the water goers. Very small which is what I enjoy most. Lots of picnicking with tables and sun shade for all. Yes! The beach is rather small but lets keep I mind it is man made. Bathrooms were clean and tidy also. Nothing bad to say except if ur looking to swim deep this is not it. 3-4 feet tops. Kids seem to enjoy it and the parents arent a bag of nuts due to water levels. We can be crazy sometimes.
Beautiful just hate the fact that the best area is closed all season
If I could give no stars I would. This place is the worlds smallest wave pool with a million people crammed in it. With all the security and the orange carts it’s like swimming in jail. Will definitely not return waste of time and money.
Wonderful facility. Yes, it is small, but its well kept. The presence of life guards and police really make it family friendly. I seen none of the negatives that other folks have commented about and I was expecting alot due to the reviews. I took my 2 kids on a Saturday around 1130 am and there was plenty of available parking...plenty of beach space...and plenty of room to roam freely Im the water. Im sure everyones experience will not be like mine, but I will plan on coming back before the season is done.
Nice sun and beach atmosphere.. a little crowded as the beach is extremely small. $10 for country residents. Could be less but overall a nice family outing.
It is very hard to concede that you have to pay money to get into this park. I did not find out until just shortly ago. Ive been coming to this park for years and I Now understand that about 4 years ago theyve been charging During certain months. I think its a very terrible thing to charge people to come to this particular Park oh, its not like it took that and a bag of chips.
This location is a good spot for family time. The kids enjoyed the beach. Parking was relatively easy and the facilities were generally clean.
Awesome place to take your family on a nice sunny afternoon. The views here of the lake as you walk the trails are gorgeous as well as the beach although I would not recommend planning to go swimming or sit out on the beach but rather walking and enjoying the scenery. The park in general seems to be in good shape and I believe it cost around five dollars to park.
Nice park, neither too big nor too small. A small artificial beach is there and is adequate enough to satisfy any quench for a quick beach trip.Trails are good and clean. Parking space is sufficient and well maintained. Staff is kind and courteous. There is a common restroom near the beach, and the park have Neches all around to sit back and enjoy nature.
Its honestly great for kids but I like deep water where I can swim to my enjoyment thats the only away from a 5 star the depth of the water
Pretty nice man made beach... They have refreshments out there and the shuttle runs so you dont have to pay for parking.
Too expensive for such a tiny beach. Lots of rock in the water. Wear shoes!!! Definitely will not go back.
Awesome and very clean water, great temperature, great atmosphere, wonderful park staff. Will definately go back, just wish theres more beach swimming area so its not so crowded.
Love to float around shallow water beach at Ramsey creek! I am a Lithuanian manatee.
Great park. Saw a few Dragon Boat races. Park was closed for Asian festival
It was ok I was thinking of more beach is too small and to many rocks not enough for the kids good day trip tho
It was great my family And I really enjoyed ourselves
As alot of others said, the beach is too small, shallow, and the rocks hurt your feet. Not worth it if you want to swim but I suppose others a activities like biking or fishing might be a go.
Awesome time great place to take your family fun times
Awesome place to take kids... Really enjoyed it.
Beautiful park
Cool spot to kick it with the family, holiday wkends tend to get crowded but not bad enough to want to leave . Feels great not being around drunks at the lake . no alcoholic beverages allowed ! No cig smoking in beach. The sand could use a good cleaning kinda rocky with alot pebbles bit still sandy for the most part . Great place to hang out
Rest and Relaxation
Great place to spend a water day with your family.
It is very nice place to be with family, but it has changed a lot in the last month has many rocks in the lake and it is difficult to walk, they have it as for children of three years it is not deep, in the month of July I was with my family It had a depth of 4 feet for adults 1 feet for children, safety remains the same in the area, bathrooms are always clean.
Nice view of lake and sunset.
If youre going for the beach my recommendation is dont. The beach area is incredibly tiny and rocky, it hurts to walk on. Also the swim area doesnt reach higher than 3ft. Even on a weekday it felt crowded. Not worth the $10 I had to pay to get in. I will say that the staff is super friendly, but they cant make up for everything else.
Awful place to go! Waste of $15. The beach is a micro beach. Youre better off swimming at the hotel. Painful rocks that kill your feet all throughout the micro swim area. I should have listened to the reviews. Please dont make the same mistake as myself by going to this joke of a place!
Great place very family friendly and very well organized. It cost 10 dollars to park but is so worth it. Make sure you bring snacks and come beverages.
Wonderful little spot. Clean. Only open from Memorial Day- Labor Day. Closes at dark.
Beautiful place....... For family
Ive been a resident for a while and Im disappointed in this excuse for a swim area. I would love to have a place for me and my son to ride our bike to and swim but this beach leaves a lot to be desired. As everyone else said, its tiny, overcrowded, and there are painful rocks. There is plenty of room to expand and also they could open the beach at Jetton Park to swimming. I dunno I feel like it was only a half effort here for swimming access.
Dont quite understand the no wading / swimming policy but otherwise, great experience; very scenic
Great place will come again
Very clean park, fishing peer, restrooms and boat ramp.ect
Great place to bring family and do cookouts.
Quiet nice place to hang out for a picnic with beautiful blue water view of the lake.
What a waste of time! Nasty water, rude people, we will not be back!
We visited this park to take advantage of the fenced in off-leash dog park. We were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfullness of the facilty... there is water on site, plenty of seating for humans to rest while the doggos explore the area. It is lined around the perimeter with trees, so there is plenty of shade all day long. The middle is open and grassy, which is perfect for throwing the ball around. There is a small kiddie pool in one corner of the area for water lovers. At the time of our visit, it could use some maintenance, but did not detract from our enjoyment of the park. we will be back!
Is beautiful but, not much space!!
I have never used the beach part, only the dog park. It is a la get park with dirt, rocks, grass, and woods. Its nice if you wanna make a quick stop but I often find to many owners not paying attention to their dogs activity.
The beach ne more espace
A great place to relax on the lake.
They only let 100 people in at a time, so there’s always a line stretching long. Plus, there’s hardly any beach space, and you’re not allowed to swim in the lake at all.Huge ripoff.
Over crowded and there was a line to access the beach. When you get there, swimming area is sooo small so people were swimming into each other.
Awesome park!Enjoyed my time there!!!
Beautiful
It is a nice inexpensive thing to do with your family. Had a really enjoyable time!
It was awesome specially the fish
Beautiful place!!!
Water was warm, overcrowded, smelly and too shallow. Parking fees are a bit pricey. Did not have proper bath houses for amount of people there and the few they had were filthy. Dont go for the swimming!!
Aweful. Tiniest swimming area. So many lifeguards for such a small beach. Expensive! Painful rocks. Will NEVER go back. I wish I didnt waste my 10 dollars because I left 30 mins later.
Not for me. Too small and no alcohol or pets are allowed.
Beautiful place for familys
I had fun but Id thought the beach would be bigger..
Beautiful Place!!!!!
Good day out
OMG! My family lives it.
Nice little park, but parking situation was a chaotic for 4th of July. They offered a shuttle to a satellite parking
The beach is tiny. You can only really sit on the beach. The swimming is worthless. They could have done a better job.
It was so good
Love this place
Small lake very crowded but a small park that was kinda cool and couldnt get in
Nice clean place to bring the family.
It was highly overcrowded, 500 people swimming in this tiny area! I felt like I was bathing in everyones filth!I will never go again!!
Beautiful Place
Beautiful place, great to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends
Beautiful lake.
Love the swing there its like no other i have ever seen...Sooo Fun!! For Adults Too!!
If you are over 100 lbs, buy some swim shoes because the peddles are hard. I watched grown people stand on them for seconds before hopping off them. I learned the hard way when we was part of the Memorial Day crowd on opening weekend. Its like standing in a fish bowl! Why do that to a outdoor swimming hole (marketing must have came up with the word beach).
Picnics
Wish the beach area was a bit bigger.
It is a bit crowed on the weekend. Best to go early in the day
Great
Nice pretend beach, nice people, nice different atmosphere!!!
We especially came to go to the beach area and it was closed, nowhere on the internet did it say it was closed.
Luv this nice and intimate
The dog park here is great!
