Fun place to take your kids to go hiking. Its easy yet full of cool facts around.Plenty of parking, policemen patrol to make sure everything is good to go and plenty of Pokemon Go Stops :).There was a lot of chairs and tables and the trails were maintained nicely. Management Paints over some stubs in red so you do not trip.Come during November and December its Pretty!
Such a cute and small trail! In comparison of other nature preserves Ive visited, this area has that miniature enchanted forest feel with tons of cute bridges, walkways, bird feeders, etc. There werent many people out here either, I went on a Wednesday but only spotted about 2 other groups here the entire 3 hours I was here. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves which made the whole experience that much more relaxing.
The trails were really short and boring...the only mildly redeeming part was the little water crossing where my dogs got to play in the water.Theres also no bikes signs on every trailhead which sucks because I feel like theyre more suited for that than hiking. If you want a great trail go to Arbor Hills in Plano: they have AMAZING trails for people and bikes.
Really beautiful nature trails. Easy to walk with kids. Very clean and lots of shade and benches a long the trails. Picnic tables,a play are for kids with sand box, water dam, music instruments. Before getting into the trails there are water fountains and bathrooms.
Nice nature park and it gives an ambiance of a mini forest. You can see a little bit of fall colors also here in October end and November beginning. One of the good place to spend your evening
Our family loves this park! It is so nice to feel a bit isolated from the city without having to go so far out. It is so well maintained and our dog absolutely loves it.Its great for a little walk or an afternoon of wandering. It has benches throughout to stop and take everything in. This is a great trail for kids and adults alike.
Great nature park in Coppell. My son is 5 and ge loves it. We walk through the creek looking for wild life and have seen everything from fish to snakes to frogs.
6 miles of nature trail. Our Scout Troop volunteers for trail maintenance. Coming from AZ, I love this plot of green land so close. Plane noise can be loud and yes it is surrounded by business park but if you need to step into nature and take a breather, this is the place. Just enjoy the trail for what it is and take a walk. Youll feel refreshed from being indoors!!
Love this park! Heavy trees over all the trials and well maintained. It’s not too busy even the weekend.
You really feel like you are on a hike far away in one of the state parks at times here, it has thick foliage with some good trails....the only downside is those trails are short. You then walk into the baseball fields and a warehouse. That is to to be expected because it is a city park and size is limited. A great place to go to be at peace.
Nice park, but could not find other entrance to go to the other side of the park. Only found entrance through Wagon Wheel Park. Lots of parking.
It is small but a nice short drive to a natural space to relax.
Coppell Nature Park is a beautiful little area full of interesting little pathways and streams. This is a lovely place to visit. One of the things that I most adored about this location was that it had a cute stepping stone pathway across one of its streams. Another thing that I loved was that one of the roots to one of the trees sat directly in the middle of stone stairs that had been placed, as if it had been placed as a stair, too.The bird observation was completely abandoned while I was there, I think that was mainly because of the time of year that I went but it could have been because of my dogs. I was very excited to see it, I had never visited a park with a bird observation before and I think its one of the most interesting things that Ive seen, regardless of it being so empty.I didnt see anyone here when I first arrived, only as I was leaving. It was very quiet and empty, I had my dogs with me and at one point they got a bit spooked by something but I never saw anything. I noticed while taking pictures that my phone lost service a couple of times and I think thats something to potentially keep in mind if youre taking this trail.Overall, I had a great time here. I always wanted to visit this park again but it was a little of a drive and I never made it back over that way.
Small but good trails with lots of shade. They tried to make most of the small area by creating too many trails. Any trail you start, you will be going around in the same area.
Love all the nature. Educational for kids. Very clean.
Great place to get out and enjoy a little bit of nature.
This is one of my favorite parks in the Coppell area. The trails are not paved so it wouldnt be ideal for those with mobility problems. Even though youre still in the metro, it feels like youve escaped into the woods!!
This is a great natural spot for photography, hiking, bird-watching, and learning about the natural word with your kids. My only reservation is the large amounts of litter strewn carelessly along the trails. We picked up handfuls but made little difference. This would be a great spot for a Boy Scout group or volunteer group to clean up. Otherwise we loved it!
Very nice, next time I plan to go earlier because the dark caught me.
A corner of nature on the edge of town. Nice trails and the biodiversity center is top notch.
Well kept, well labeled trails. Perfect for learning outdoor skills and etiquette while maintaining safety. The only downside is its close proximity to ball fields and the airport, both of which can get a little noisy.
Sweet little hidden gem. Its bigger than you think. The paths are well-kept with wood chips, and very peaceful. My dogs loved it, and the brave one explored the little creek, wading through the shallow parts. I left feeling refreshed. Ill be back-there are more paths to explore!
Really fun park! Easy to get to right off the main road down behind Amazon warehouses. It offers solitude and well maintained trail. Good, peaceful area for outdoor walks and photography. Busy on weekends with all the sports fields.
Its a work-in-progress, hence the 4 of 5 stars. The place is great for a diverse age range, having activities from digging in sand to balance beams to just idyllic scenery. See photos. The place is reachable only by a walk and is worth the visit. Its small compared to the grounds around it. But if its under 10 people, youll have enough to do.Have fun!
Great spot for small events and more importantly, to learn about bio diversity in our region.
Very good trails. Well maintained and marked
Found this hidden gem and couldn’t me more excited! Lots of trails off the paved path once you walk down a bit. Creek flowing through, shade, lots of plants/nature with labels and markings. There’s also an observation deck close to the parking lot before the trail!
Well maintained trails!
Beautiful park! Coppell Nature park is a large natural area with walking paths, bridges and streams. Butterflies and bird houses! Its park of the Wagon Wheel soccer practice field and the wagon wheel tennis center. Great walking areas around the whole area. Family has a very nice barn looking concession area with water fountain and waterfall. Highly recommend.
Very big, old trees, lots of wildlife and nice walking/biking trails. Highly recommended, don’t let the size deter you.
This is an amazing place for walk, children or dog. Birdwatching, education about trees, etc. Half a day can be spent here easily, next to playfields or education center. You will feel like in woods, forget the town is around you. Trails are easy. Take water with you. Trails are mostly OK for stroller too (with like two or three small climbs/stairs). Some minor geocaching too. Highly recommend to visit.
Love this place for a quick trek trip. Once inside the trail, feels seclude except for the airplanes flying on their final landing run.Great place to visit for picnic too.Parking: FreeEntry: Free
Very good place to walk
A beautiful and clean nature trail that is safe and easy to navigate.
The city of Coppell is all about Recreations and Parks for their community. Its very pleasant peaceful and clean all the time. No complaints here.
Quiet, but the walking trail is bit short
My husband and I love walking trails with our kids and dogs. This is a beautiful place to visit when the weather is perfect
Wonderfully quiet and cool, even in the height of Summer.
Great trails!
Awesome park. Come expecting a great experience.
A favorite place for walking and relaxing.
An absolutely delightful park to take ones children to.
Amazing walking trails through the woods makes for a great escape from the metroplex busyness!
Great nature preserve, and so close to town! Really enjoyed our guided hike, and will definitely be returning
A wonderful set of trails and places to walk. The community center has events as well.
Great trails snaking around a creek
Its very nice place to walk and feel like you are out of the town
A place away from the city in the city is nice
Don’t go to this park. Very few people will be there and there is no security cameras where your car is parked. There is high time chances you can get attacked. Me along with friends saw the high review and went for a walk on Sunday evening and after we are back after 1 hour what we saw that some one broke the passenger window. There were 2 cars parked and both were broken. The park is a bit inside so once you go in there is no visibility of your car. I had kept my wallet and phone inside the handrest so that it was not visible but that also got stolen. Police had informed they won’t be able to find who has broke the car or stole the things because there was no security camera around. I am writing such a review so that nothing similar happens to anyone. Stay SAFE, don’t go to this park. I feel thieves are watching you here ...
This place did scratch the itch that I had to get onto some trails - my only beef is that I wish it was bigger. The trail map at the heads should give distances between points so that one can understand that the whole trail system is only a little over 2 miles. Looks great for kids aged 6 - 12.
Really beautiful trail, read the little tree placards!
Nice place to go walking
Nice little walk.
This place is an amazing resource especially for homeschool families.
Very nice area for a walk. There is a stream and a golf course along the path. Very short though at about a mile long. Its too dark at night to safely walk.
Nice park for kids
A very spacious park for walking and jogging
Amazing year round I love this place it’s where I go to walk off day to day stresses very peaceful and a nice sight for eyes to see.
Always liked this park. Not too large. But its clean very quiet. Its an awesome place for a romantic walk with that special someone, or a good place too bring children.
Great get away from city
Did some volunteer work. Very pretty park. Cleanest bathrooms Ive ever seen in a public facility
This is awesome. Small but nice. You can walk into this small forest. There is a nice observation deck.
Nice place to walk
The Biodiversity center here is very nice. They have free classes about gardening that are well worth the time to attend.
This park has some nice geocaches in it. Its a nice walk.
Trails are well marked and visable. Great little piece of nature tucked into the busy city.
Amazing park for walking and refreshing
You dont need any reason but one to visit this park. It is BEAUTIFUL. But so is Coppell, Tx.
I really like thia park, there is a spot spexifically to watch bird without disturbing them.
Loved our trip here. Great way to hike around for an hour
Beautiful well taken care of park. Running on the trails is a nice change of pace from the streets and sidewalks.
Nice, safe, clean, and very good for children entertainment!
Nature area located on the northwest end of Wagon Wheel park. It has a few nice trails for strolling. Its not the most amazing nature park - a little limited in size, but our little kids think its fun to explore the woods.
My daughter and I really enjoy the nature trail.
Amazing day
Great place for the family or a good run. They now allow dogs on the trail which is great!
Always beautiful, the nature center here is a great place to take kids and adults alike
Nice trails!
Nice walking trails. Good programming for kids at the nature center.
Wonderful park. Great nature enclave in the middle of the city.
My dog loves it! Awesome trails and well kept!
Trails are well maintained and have good variety.
Great place to walk for trails but doesnt allow dogs
Nice quiet hiking trails. Well kept.
Nature vs. Airlines. The airplanes come like birth pains.
