We stayed at this hotel for a weekend with the kids. I wish I could rate the hotel and customer service differently. The location is amazing and the room was comfortable and clean. The view is beautiful and the property was well maintained. The amenities are fantastic and include a activity center with family games, horse back riding, volleyball, horse shoe pits, mini golf and so much more. The customer service was awful. Any time we had a question we would have to wait in line 15-30 minutes. Our card would not work to open the door and it took 25 minutes to get it fixed. They also charged our card for someones pet fee. They notified us of the incident but then told us it would be several days before the money was returned. When we checked out we realized they charge our card for two more pet fee. We called to notify them and were on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up. It was over 450 that was charged accidentally and now we cant get a hold of any one to fix it. The staff in the activity center were constantly on their phones and it felt like you were bothering them if you asked for anything. I would give the hotel a 4 but I would give customer service a 1. We would go again for the facility but I would dread interacting with the staff.

I give it a 10 with the exception of not being able to extend my stay for 2 days.

This is a very nice Resort to visit especially if you have kids and they have 3 different swimming pool for faq riding kayaking and a ton of other stuff To do. Very clean they have to bathrooms and one Im has a Jacuzzi tub in one of them I would definitely stay there again specially if you have a boat because there is a very big Marina. Had a great time. You can cook your own Food everythings there, All you have to bring is yourself and a few extra towels. Loved it!

As holiday inn club owners, we utilized our 5 night complimentary stay at this resort. We stayed in 2 bedroom lodge unit. I must say that the room we stayed in was not what we were accustomed to. It was outdated, small and the ceiling leaked when it rained. We checked in this past Wednesday and checked out Friday night. We did not stay for our full reservation. If we do ever go back, we will surely use our points to stay in the presidential rooms. If the complimentary stays are of this standard, we will not bother using them in the future. The area, scenery, and lake are beautiful. We did not have much interaction with the staff so I will not give a rating. I will say that we were not greeted as owners when we checked in.

Its almost like a 2 bedroom house. Your home away home! It was very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of things they offer to do on the property for no additional charge. There are 3 pools, one of which is covered. There is a lake to go fishing or swimming in as well. We had a great weekend!

This is my second time going to this place, I love it! It is very relaxing, beautiful and very clean. The staff are always very professional and they received me with a big smile. I cant wait for my next time to visit, planning on going back for Thanksgiving. The have many activities to enjoy.Thank you.

Location was great. Overall our stay was great. Planning on going back for a family reunion. Lots of activities at the resort. The con is the stairs need a good good power washing. Too many spiderwebs plus need better water pressure in bathrooms.

A beautiful resort and Timeshare located in a quiet cove on Lake Conroe. Many amenities. Pool, boat slips, boat ramp, horse shoes. Wide variety of rooms and villas.

My family & i were there for a weekend getaway & birthday celebration..the carpet was filthy & the tub was dirty. After me & my family cleaned the villa everything else was great. It was spacious & the layout was nice. For the money spent they need to clean better and maintain the property better.

Great place to stay. Well maintained and great prices. I always felt safe and welcomed. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Would totally recommend and I am ready to plan my next trip!

Rosalind secured a lake view for my in laws for their 50th wedding anniversary which was greatly appreciated! We enjoyed watching the sun set over the lake and the early morning fishing. The rooms were clean and the kitchen fully stocked. We were able to relax and enjoy our time together. Great place for families!

We just stayed one night. Having two bedrooms and sleeper sofa was great! The shower stall is tiny! In fact, none of us used it because of that. We just showered when we arrived home. The room we stayed in was definitely older and had some wear and tear. I wished the bathrooms were updated. Because they were older, it made them seem dirty (tub stains, grout stains, etc.)

Having problems getting the room we like due to maintenance issues at the resort, they are working very hard to help us get another room that we will like. Great staff doing outstanding job. Give them 100%. Satisfactory rating in my book.

Again I am sad to say Im not impressed with the silver leaf resorts. This location and resort grounds has potential but the cleanliness of the resort was terrible. We stayed for 4 days and had to deal with cocroaches in the unit every night. The first to nights it was the big wood roaches the last 2 nights there were smaller ones. The first night I called the front desk told me there was nothing they could do about it. During the day we didnt see any so we let it go. The next night we called again because they were back and running on the stove and table where we were playing games. I called the front desk again they said call back in the morning. Day 3 I called in the morning and they came and sprayed. Day 4 we found five dead roaches in the morning. We checked out and nothing was said from the staff. Disappointed! Our bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling and the living room had mold on the vents. I hope Holiday Inn turns these silver leaf resort around soon.

The unit was extremely clean except for the carpet! The unit had a musty smell and we went and bought room fresheners to help with the smell. After our first night, we determined the smell was coming from the carpets and all of our socks were black as if we had been walking outside. We had my 3-year old grandchild with us so we went to Walmart and purchased flat bed sheets to lay on the carpeting in the living room so he could play on the floor with his toys. When we checked out, I showed the hotel staff the color of our socks just from walkingon the carpets. If the carpets had been steam cleaned or replaced, our unit would have been perfect.

Overall it was a great stay, but the balconies need to be pressure washed.

We enjoyed our stay, but had a few complaints. Overall we liked that there were a lot of potential amenities, some of which seemed to not be the full experience (maybe due to Covid?).We liked the mini golf course. We had to ask permission to use the outdoor hot tub on a Friday night. The gates were locked and we were told they closed it due to low usage? They opened it up when we asked to please allow us to use it.We also were expecting to actually be on the lake but this resort is GIANT. And only the presidential suites are on the lake. We didn’t know this. Our room was still nice in the wooded area, but we thought we booked a lake front hotel.Rooms were a little outdated but not the worst I’ve seen.Overall, it was okay. Nothing to call home about but we still enjoyed our stay.

Piney Shores is an average to below average IHG vacation property. The room was spacious, but dated. The grounds are not well kept. The big swimming pool is great. The mini golf course is fun but not well maintained. The staff seemed committed to doing the minimum necessary to serve the guest. I wouldnt recommend this property as there are better Club Vacation properties weve stayed at.

Great location was more that ruined with the poor amenities and staff problem solving response. The rooms need a serious upgrade and none of them are ADA compatible.

We went to celebrate some birthdays in the family. The kids loved the location and the pools were great! Fishing was awesome and we enjoyed the putt putt as well. Cabins are pretty clean and spacious

Went in October. They had cool things for the kiddos. We went swimming and played mini golf. We had a great time.

Overall, great property and great location.However was lied to on several occasions and room was not ready for guest. I took it upon myself to clean before other parties arrived just to find out that the dishwasher was filled with old moldy water that stunk up the entire apartment! I called the desk, someone arrived soon to fix but the smell was unbearable and I wanted out! It took way too long to find another unit. And no one offered to help in the move. I’ve already unpacked everything, including the food/cooler. Made the move to cleaner apartment but it too was a dirty tub and had standing water in the fridge that I had to clean before everyone arrived. Also some of the silverware were caked in dried on food!

Nice resort. We loved being on the lake for the 4th of July. Once we arrived, I was disappointed that our room was not facing the lake as I had been repeatedly told before my arrival date. However, Kudos to Roselyn Kelly who offered us a room the next morning, but we had already started cooking for the 4th and decided to stay where we were. The rooms could use a more thorough cleaning, but you should always bring your own Lysol and etc. to wipe the rooms down. The pools were open and they only allowed a certain number of people in each pool. They closed the pool for an hour a few times each day to clean it. Overall, My family enjoyed our stay and would return.

A lot to offer in the way of family recreation. Friendly helpful staff. They put on a Halloween hay maize and spooky forest walk fun for our little kids.

This place has very nice 2 bedroom accomodations with all the comforts of home. Great for a family getaway. there are so many activities at the resorts and the property is very clean. Staff super friendly, helpful, and professional.

The overall upkeep of the property needs to be better. Power washing of the outside is badly needed. Painting and repairs in the rooms are needed. The rooms need to be sprayed for bugs and insects.

Room was not clean so it really felt like it was an indoor camping trip. Neat property but lots of stuff closed. Weird year - weird rules. Still not clean. No housekeeping during our stay - their choice...not ours. So pretty sure the room was just not ever clean.

It was awesome. The bed was very comfortable, and the patio was my favorite part being able to look out at the lake.

All, I can say is everyone loved it here. My family is already planning our next stay!

Its a wonderful place to take your kids, activities wise . There are a ton of things to do but I would say they should have more than 1 tennis court and more than 1 basketball hoop . The balconies and barbecue areas are very nice . Mini golf is a lot of fun . Kitchens are well equipped. The bathrooms could use some tlc.

Even though we’re in this pandemic, and we have to keep social distancing check in took an hour but over all it’s keeping us safe and very informative on things to do in the hotel. You just have to be patient. The hotel offers several things in which we fell I love with, the only thing I did not like, is how old some of the things are, such as the toilet are very stained in yellow and the jacuzzi is way too old. The horse back ridding was so nice and relaxing be aware you do go through the woods so I would suggest wearing jeans. The pools are big and have jacuzzis as well, first come first serve. The cottages do not come up in the pictures of hotels.com so be aware what your paying does not look like the amazing pictures in the app. I did also find little insects behind the doors, so don’t freak out. I’m not sire if they show up because they’re not cleaning well or because of so much wood.

We booked our trip last minute and it was so worth it. They had so much to do there and not crowded at all. Everything we choose to do we were alone except the pool area of course. It was limited and they counted the guest going in so it was very calm. We are already planning another trip with more family.

I stayed for fathers day with my family of 6. It was a nice clean room but for the amount of money I could have went to margaritaville and had plenty to do. They didnt inform me that the recreational center and restaurant was closed. Our only options of entertainment were their basic swimming poool and putt putt golf. Basically they have limited their amenities but not adjusted their price. Housekeeping stole 2 coolers full of packaged and unused meat, and walked in out room minutes before checkout because we didnt answer, while my 2 teenage daughter were sleeping in the front room. All of this was irritating but the worst was the run around you get to speak to a manager. It took a week before I finally had to call the corporate office because the manager choose to ignore my complaint.

Please stay here you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for my time can’t wait to come again need another weekend

The tubs need to be replaced they are dirty and stained up. Even with cleaning them it does not help. We bought our own cleaning stuff and it didnt help. The beds were comfortable tho. They have to many spiders out on the front porch. I hate bugs.

I enjoy our vacations with holiday inn/ silverleaf. I know there are things that need to be worked on or improved. Write them down to inform them so they will fix.They have lots of games for kids and many pools. We love driving around looking for antique and thrift store. 105 between Conroe and Montgomery have great places.

Conroe was safe and wonderful!!The check-in took a little while but after check-in it was all good from there. The service was consistent to other stays I’ve had here before. Great place to visit with the family.

Lodges are well maintenance!!! Great experience. So many pools and activities to choose from... was a little disappointed with The horse back riding. thought it could be better instead of just going through the woods for 30+ minutes.. Other than that, employees are awesome, place is awesome! will return soon

This is a wonderful hidden gem. I would stay here again but bring my grandkids to enjoy all it has to offer.

This place is great for going out for going out and enjoying your weekend, thw incentives are amazing but I preferred the basketball court. Staying in the cabins around nature is refreshing and I recommend you to give it a try for a weekend or week.

I do not generally rate any place where we stay this low; however, I feel that because Piney Shores is part of the RCI membership that we have my experience would be phenomenal. The staff was cordial regarding my complaints. Despite the cordial tones from the staff I feel that it was not enough for me to feel that this trip was worth it. I totally understand restrictions due to the pandemic, but does it mean that quality has to go down the drain too? Here are my list of complaints that should have been tackled before the 4pm check in. 1) the dishes this means the plates, utensils and cleaning utensils were literally dirty. I could see the leftover food in the bowls and the grittiness left on the plates. So I bleach washed all items in the kitchen. 2) the phone line did not even work. I do not think that it is appropriate for me to have call the office from my phone and wait on hold in order to reach the front desk. 3) the batteries in the remote did not work to operate the television. 4) one small tub of dish liquid to clean dishes for 5 days. That is wrong! I had more dishwasher pods than I needed. I thought dishwasher used more water? 5) bathtub in the room... if I can say that nice sized ring was left to the point where I immediately noticed it without having to lean over. Then that means house keeping did not clean or sanitize like they suppose to. I opted to use the shower in the other room instead. I did call on day four at 5pm because I am handicap and I did need to soak my joints because they were swollen. I am still waiting on someone to come clean the tub here it is 2 hours later. I need our housekeeping fee back because there really was NO housekeeping going on. If I could upload the pictures for you to see yourself I would. I am appalled at this type of service.

Perfect staff! Rosalyn Jaime worked with me to ease my anxiety of the military discharge! So thank full for that and gave a candy bag with balloons for our anniversary my wife loved it!!!!

The lake view was beautiful. The room was spacious for our family of 6. We went for my sons 18th birthday and spring break. The jetted tub jets were brown. The fold out couch has blood stains on the mattress as well as no extra pillows blankets or sheets for it. The property takes your car info at check in as well as gives you a parking pass to put on your dash. The 2nd night we had our car towed. We had the parking pass on the dash. We had to pay $300 to get our car from 14 miles away. When we tried to speak to talk to someone about the issue that was clearly their mistake, we were told the general manager was the only one that could help us. We were told she would be in that morning but the remaining 24 hours we were there she avoided us or did not come in to work. We have emailed her and are still calling the resort although we were home. We also had an issue with our car on the way home that was due to the tow. We are having a mechanic look at it today to get it in writing. They have caused us to spend hundreds of dollars due to their mistake and NO ONE will talk to me to fix it. Management does not care. The front desk gave me a number to call. They transferred the call back to the property for me to speak to the general manager. Ruined our last day in Conroe and caused a stressful trip home. It make look beautiful and have decent ammenities but they will steal your car and not care about the extra cost to you.

Was it pretty? Yes. Was it nice? Yes. Did it feel more like a retirement center than a vacation? Yes.

Well it is way nicer than when silver leaf had it. However my only gripe is, the younger staff needs to be better trained on what is happening on the premises for the coming week and weeks. The pools are better cared for. Oh and the putt putt course should be blower off by maintenance once or twice a day has a courtesy

Everything was good except the jets in the bathtub. When you turned the jets on brown stuff came out. We enjoyed the stay.

It was our first visit with piney shores and sadly I’m very disappointed. The bath tub was filthy when we arrived, roaches were in the room as well, but we killed them, then the ice maker and stove did not work for us in the cabin. The pictures were beautiful online, but in person we were highly unsatisfied. Tried calling front desk to let them know the issues of our room but no one answered. Then the property charges a 115$ fee for damages. Sadly damages were already done before we got there it was not worth the stay. Only reason we chose this resort is because of the great reviews, but being our first time visiting it was a horrible experience.

The best place to stay, we have a great time every time we visit Piney Shores. My kids love the resort and all the activities. We love to fish of shore and do everything else.

I love that they had sanitizing stations at check-in. My check-in agent was great, but when my guests came to visit, the check-in agent Jamie was rude, she acted like she could not find my name even though her co-worker found me in the system without a problem, she did not tell my guests how to find the cabin and she did not welcome them when they approached the desk.

Will not be returningWhen I booked I was told i can request late check out. When I got there they said they’re not doing that anymore. We got excited for horseback riding twice and both times the employees made excuses. We were told we had a ride the following day only to be disappointed again. The employees started making faces when we asked about the ride as though we were doing something wrong.Was very excited for this weekend but left very disappointed.

A total of 26 minutes waiting, then had to go to take a call for work then 55 minutes (!!!!) on a call to cancel my stay because of a family emergency. Completely, utterly, unacceptable. This resort does not care about your time, therefore they don’t care about you. End of story.

The marina was very easily accessible to use for our boat. The price was perfect for our stay! Highly recommended!

Do not stay at this resort as it is not what it appears to be on the website. The photos are enhanced! The reality is that the rooms are filthy, the furniture is stained and old, the rooms smell of mold and mildew. You are no where near walking distance to the lake nor do you get a lake view. To get ice you have to drive to a gas station several miles away. We refused to stay and are being penalized for not cancelling the reservation in order to guarantee a refund. Poor guest relations. Truly a frustration. I will never again stay at a Holiday Inn.

We found a bed bug on our mattress. We went to the office and they said they need to treat our clothes so we dont spread them?? We didnt bring them with us. I had to INSIST they treat the room. Not happy at all. Going to Walmart to buy poison now. Ugh.

Got there right on time to check in and room was still not ready. No one told us about pool times or any other activities. By the time we got in our room, put or stuff away and got ready for the pool they were ALL closed. We had to wait an extra hour just to go swimming. It threw off our entire schedule. There were a ton of kids in the pool which is fine, but some of them ran off with our pool noodles while their mother was cat calling at my husband. We felt uncomfortable and left the pool. We ordered Uber Eats and thank God the kids brought their Xbox. That was our only source of entertainment. The people directly above us were extremely loud and stomping through the entire night. We all had a rough night be cause of all the noise. Then first thing in the morning we have loud construction going on right outside our room. We just packed our stuff and checked out. We even have the workers our left over snacks and a 2 liter soda.

I strongly recommend this property. its beautiful. Staff is amazing and so are all the amenities on site.

No food on property was kind of a hassle. . .boat dock was good. Room was OK. . .could use a face lift. . .with friends and family so made up for all short comings!!

The suites are well stocked.Windows are not well shaded against porch lites letting in light while sleeping.

We decided to abandon this resort room as we felt that it should have been cleaned again prior to being assigned to a guest. We felt that the door lock mechanism should have been checked by resort management personnel prior to assigning this room. If the door lock mechanism was not working at that time how long has it been since this room was cleaned??? There were spiders, spider webs or cobwebs in the corners, on the doorways, and on the rails throughout the area and facility.Our first interaction with this specific resort, happened when we were stuck in traffic trying to get to the resort location. We had a lengthy and difficult time being transferred between connections to get to the resort front desk worker. We arrived at the hotel after hours about 10pm in the evening. We had an extremely difficult time trying to get into the room and eventually had to go back to the front desk and ask them if they could send someone to repair the front door. We found that the door lock had run out of batteries and was not functioning at all. The workers arrived at the room to repair the lock mechanism and reprogram the keys. They were professional and completed their duties and left our room in a timely fashion. It appeared that someone had struck the exit terminal of the key swipe of the entry/exit access point adjacent to the activity center. The only way out of the area was through the employee entry/ exit to the far side of the facility. I thought it was kind of an inconvenience that this item was not repaired in a timely fashion by the resort personnel.The studio type room, #291B, we were given was unfortunately stuffy with a stale and old type of smell. It was overwhelming and we couldnt really identify the source or neutralize the smell. We had difficulty identifying the building number as it was obstructed by the tree branches when looking from the street.The Whirlpool appliances inside the room kitchen area appeared to be in very good and working condition. There was a decent size Samsung TV mounted on the wall which featured both cable and local channels. The bathroom appeared clean and there were sufficient towels throughout the bathroom.During our stay, we were able to check out the activity center, the pool areas, the game room, the resort mini store, the putt putt golf course, the physical activity center and the surrounding activity areas.

Beautiful views of the lake, my wife and I were out there for my in-laws golden 50th anniversary (just a small get together given the times currently). They have their own boat launch, and I managed to get a line out in the water on a small pier right next to the boat launch. There are barbecue pits available to use for visitors, a gazebo, and covered picnic area all within one-hundred feet of the water line.

Its a nice location, nice setting, lots to do, close to restaurants and shopping. They could do some more cleaning and repairs on the rooms.

I really wish they would be more thorough with their cleaning. Our cabin had a lot of dead bugs on the floor, the toilet was dirty, and the jacuzzi needed cleaning. Someone is not doing a their job Im giving it 2 stars because the people at check in were nice.

The place is really nice to relax ..has the mini golf section my 3 year old love it...the indoor pool hit the spot ...lil scared about the woods but to for get about the smoke and traffic from California is perfect!!!

Nice clean and secluded cabins. The 3 swimming pools are nice alongside the mini golf. The security was good . The people that checked me in were very friendly and efficient. The property itself was beautiful. We evacuated for the hurricane so this was a good surprise.We will come stay here in the near future. God Bless this place.

The staff was less than friendly, the air conditioning didnt work in the first room, but the security guard brought us two commercial fans to use around midnight, no staff to call. The next day, we called and the woman that answered the phone said shed call us back to let us know what they were going to do. We had to sit and wait in the room for her call. It kept us from getting to do some of the things we had wanted to do. She should have told us if they were going to move us or send someone to fix it. We could have packed our things while waiting for another room. No apologies, no concern for the inconveniences caused by any of it. The location and the activities available were very nice. But the only employees, I can recommend are the security guard, the man taking care of the trash, and April. They were the only employees that were friendly, or even greeted us.

Started out bumpy at check in but ended up being a great place for a girls getaway. Will come again!

My family loves Lake Conroe. We stayed for 4 days and we did not want to leave. Relaxing, good weather,and the boats were everywhere. Check in was a little frustrating. Check in is at 4, and our room Was not ready. We had been traveling for 2 hours with an 8 month old.

Such a fun and relaxing place to go for time outs.Lake Conroe is literally across from the resort.Beautiful sunrise and sunsets.It’s very secluded and pretty quite for the most part.There are plenty of stores nearby to pick up food.I Definitely recommend you pay this place a visit.

Looking at all the reviews I was kind of skeptical especially regarding customer service. However upon my booking I spoke to an AMAZING rep by the name of Morgan. Rest assured she made me feel more comfortable with my decision in our first time visiting this resort. She answered every single concern without hesitation. Her conversation was very warm and so family oriented. Something that me and my family are so excited to experience and enjoy. It a lot of us and we are all age, sizes, and personalities. Morgan definitely have accommodated amenities to meet my older family needs. Thanks to Morgan for changing my mind and I can’t wait again to meet her and the Piney Shore experience. Love it, Just Beautiful!!

Rooms are throughly cleaned. The grounds are well kept. I really enjoy walking the grounds with the various slops and enclines as I prepare for my 13 mile marathon coming up in December. The fitness room is another location I frequent.

Nice place to stay with large groups the rooms have everything you may need to get you by a weekend for sure. Its a little out dated and some areas could use some work like paint and remolding old water damage wood and walls. Overall it was good.

Considering its in a pandemic there was no sufficient hot water which was a big infection control violation and the room was not clean, the floors and concertos were dusty when wiped.. I reported it to the office and they said this was one of the better rooms and make a complaint with the travel agency... poor customer service!!Margaritaville will definitely take alot of there customer base.

Winter stay, so did not partake in outdoor amenities, but we saw a nice mini-golf course, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball, indoor pool/ spa and heated outdoor spa (mobility-impaired friendly), plus two outdoor pools. Nice large playground plus an Activity building and a fire ring pit. Grounds green and well kept. Condo has a generous verandah, spa tub (2 BR/ 2 BA), 1250 sf. Condo can be split into a one bedroom (with the spa tub) and an efficiency (which has its own kitchen). Great view. No elevators (three-story units). Kitchen has cleaning accessories, dishes, etc. Bathrooms have Bath and Body Works products plus fluffy towels. Nice place to stay.

Love this place, it has large rooms, great location and lots of amenities for a great price.
