Fun but expensive. We go to the fair every fall and spring. My child loves it even more than Carowinds. Honestly I do too. Funnel cake, haunted houses, bumper cars, and motorcycle shows. Every time We go I get the hand stamp which allows access to all of the rides. This is SO much cheaper than buying individual tickets. I have that in addition to paying for parking, paying for admission you have to then pay to ride, but thats their set up. They do have discounts throughout the week so do take advantage of it. I do recommend eating ahead of time as the food is expensive and mediocre at best. Each time they come they change it up. Sometimes they have live animals. This last time they did a magic show. I will go back in the fall!
Lovely time and I went on the Tuesday that promoted $2 animal donations so it was very affordable. I got the unlimited ride ticket and went early enough so there wasnt a long wait. My nephew (age 3) could get on almost everything with an adult. Not a lot of adult rides but it was worth it for the children with us to enjoy themselves. I had one station attendant to a game that swindled me and my sister at a game... But had another that treated my nephew so kindly... So i just stayed away from his booth.
Said they were open...we drove 40 minutes to go to the fair and it was not there!!!!!!!
I love the atmosphere and get pleasure out of just walking through any fair grounds. My daughter enjoys the rides and we both enjoy the food and activities. This was a pleasurable days experience.
Was just ok but Very Overpriced. Best to buy admission tickets online and unlimited ride wrist bands. The shows and the guys doing awesome face portraits are the reason i gave more than one star. At least i have the beautiful portrait of my kids.
Had enough rides to keep the kids entertained for over 2 hours! Great location, reasonable price and definitely suggest buying $25 Ride pass vs tickets!!!
Admissions plus tickets to spend time with your family outrageously priced. Family of 4 be prepared to spend 200 plus just to ride 6 rides. We will never go back. Not to mention no one wanted to give you a napkin even with your purchase. Funnel cake had very little sugar and was cooked in old grease and very hard not worth 7.00. you pay for tickets and half of the place only accepts cash!
Its a pretty small fair. Smaller than Im used to. But it was still fun and had all the fair food you seek.
It was great. There is two separate lines for those who have tickets and those who already have tickets. If you buy tickets online they are cheaper. Typical carnival food, cool little booths with items to buy (earrings, souvenirs, necklaces, etc.) Rides were ok, nothing fancy, but still fun. And you cant miss it, its always in plain sight.
Thanks for your answer, I was writing a review for our Apr weekend visit. This 1 star review was for QUEEN CHARLOTTE FAIR. I havent been to your fair, because you have a great customer service (by writing back to my review) I will leave a 5 star review. Please change your fair name because they are using Queen Charlotte Fair and same location, it is confusing.
Do you need to have a shaporon and is it open when it rains?
The fair is what it is and you have to know that going in. Expect to pay a lot of money with rides costing between 4-7 dollars each and games around five dollars. At most of the games the employees will just try to get you to pay more money and then give you a prize with no real way to earn any cool prizes and the whole place is really dirty. Theres a couple decent shows like the motorcyclists and a magic show. The petting zoo feels extremely cruel to the animals but kids will enjoy feeding them. Overall, Id say save the money and go do something else that will be more worth spending it on.
It was a smaller fair with less rides and games but still a lot of fun. Great performers!
So much fun! Made me feel like a kid again!
Seems like Charlotte would have a bigger fair. EVERY line was long, buy your tickets online and you can skip the entry line, but after that be prepared to stand in very long line. Charlotte needs to do better
This event should be call a carnival not a fair. There werent many rides or food vendors. Im still trying to figure out why the speed way parking areas were closed off and patrons had to park near trailors. The attendance on Saturday should have been closed after so many people arrived. The lines to enter were miles long as well as the cars steadily trying to enter the event. Why did patrons have to pay $5 for parking, plus $10 for entry into the small venue barely a quarter block long, really. It was our first time attending and we left very disappointed. Im keeping my fingers crossed the STATE FAIR will be much better.
Heckuva time ! i loved it !, it was a bit pricey with parking and entrance and all, but once we got to the actual FAIR, we had a blast ! the rides were cool, the people on them were clean and friendly, the height requirements were on all the rides and ticket boxes, so we knew whether our smallest could ride or not, and we had an interaction with the carnival owner and he was very friendly and helpful . they all were . the guy parking the cars was a bit rude, but other than that ? a great time .and if you ride nothing else, you have to ride the boat, the guys on there were fantastic, i think they had more fun than we did
Very disappointed, Although my toddlers were free admission they couldnt get on anything. One w/ heart troub. Age 4 could possibly get on rides with me, but my child with no health issues thats Age 3 and too short( that was ready to ride everything) couldnt get on nothing without me. I was told by two rides, that someone else with a wristband would have to get on with him . Although i had an unlimited wristband, it was one child or the other out of all the rides. A waste of time & money, they did say they enjoyed themselves though.
Amazing time at the fair. The kids had a blast and for $25 bucks you get an all you can ride wristband! L
Staff are the nicest I’ve ever encountered at a fair! Seriously impressed!
Had a great time with family...fun rides and lots to eat..
Got My heartbroken here wouldnt recommend
It is a big place for me i like everything in this fair thank for doing this event hope u make more fair here
Arrived around 5pm. The car wait to get in was about 30-45mins. $5 for parking. As I waited in line for admission I decided to purchased my tickets online $8 for adults & $6 for child. Got to go up to the tint line for wand metal detecting and bag check. Next line was for tickets. Ticket are for RIDES ONLY(1=$.1.50, 25=$20 & 50=$50). Wrist band can be purchased onsite for $25 or $20 online. FYI: rides are about 2mins long. Games are cash only. Did 3 rides and then waited in line for food which took another 45mins for Funnel cake and went home. It was 9pm by then. There was even more traffic coming in.
Great place for a couples date, family and generally everybody.
Much too small of an area for the amount of people. Prices are high for what you receive. Games are even more of a scam than normal. Would not recommend.
Small but a few things to enjoy
I’m over it
A lot of fun and the rides were awesome.
My familt and had a wonderful time at the fair.
We love the Charlotte Fair, Charlottes own for almost 10 years!
Charlotte Fairs new location is bigger than last one. Nicer Rides, too!
Ticket booth lady was rude for no reason because all i did was ask a simple question but whatever, her bad attitude didn’t stop me from having a good time. i suggest just buying a hand stamp for the rides because it’s unlimited.
If this is the one near concord spewdway....this one is horrible. At the gate we were told we could use our bank cards on the inside...however when we get in we were told the exact opposite.....not wanting to use the atms bc anything outside of your own bank can be a little iffy....we left...... No refund....no accommodations.....in other words, lesson learned...HAVE CASH ONLY
It was ok way over priced for food and tickets
Didnt like it...too high too high atm fees not enough rides for the kids ....overall a waste of money
The family had tons of FUNNNNN!!!
Spent two hours. Parking wasnt too bad. The rides were a bit shaky looking and from what the kids said they felt shaky while riding it. Not much for toddlers and the only thing for adults are the carnival games but those get boring quickly. The actual fair does not compare to the county fairs but something fun for the kids for a bit. A bit expensive for the quality.
Always enjoy going to the fair here
Good times
Fun and wont hurt the wallet
Place is amaizing
It was okay. Will probably try the other fair next year.
It seemed kind of small but rides were fun and had a great time
Had a terrific time at the fair this year! Aside from all the fair rides, I highly recommend riding the helicopter, eating some Mexican street corn (esquites), watching the Aguilar family circus show, falling in love the petting zoo (beautiful cows and even alpaca!), and end the day with a ballon hat or sword from the awesome balloon artist!!
The employees were very rude and RACIST NEVER GOING AGAIN PERIODTT
Much too expensive for families with children living on a budget.
Terrible!!! Brought my daughter to have fun and she was only allowed on 1 ride!!! What a rip off and some crack head man was disrespectful cause we said they were ripping people off!!
This spring fair is mainly for kids. They have lot of fun rides and food stalls.Starting from car parking, entry ticket everywhere they insist cash only. They installed lot of ATMs to withdraw money. We don’t understand the reason for not accepting card. The food at th fair ground is far from satisfactory. They have an helicopter drive also.
The staff didnt know what promotions that had for the day in question. After asking a few questions and getting an I dont know and a few smirks proceeded to the park with more very snarky staff...
Had fun
TOO CROWDED/LINES SUPER LONG FOR EVERYTHING!
Loved it fun place just no shade or seating
Great for kids under 5, not so much for adults.
Very expense, horrible rides, employees very rude, not recommended.
Need to be more organized
Had a great time
It’s fun... but ok ig
Had a blast
Love the rides.
Best carnival in town
Small but plenty of rides and fair food
Took my grandson and he loved it?
Awesome
Excellent place
There was only 3 rides for little kids. The tickets were outrageous and I was there for less than an hour cause there was nothing for my 2 year old
A bit over priced, but a fun time nonetheless
It was ok
