Great place to workout really peaceful with nice staff and any equipment that you need to get into shape they having boxing with coach James Buster Douglas they have a full court basketball gym and a aquatic center in the building next door $15 for 3 months so it is affordable and clean

I recently 10-30-2019] attended Empowered self-defense that fosters safety, belonging, connectedness and dignity -- with confidence at the Thompson Community Center [sometimes called the Thompson Recreation Center].This Lunch & Learn Series workshop, for LGBTQ adults fifty and older [who are collectively known as the Stonewall Columbus Trailblazers], had been sponsored by Stonewall Columbus, in conjunction with the LifeCare Alliance, for LGBTQ adults who are sixty or older.This workshop had originally been scheduled to meet several blocks away in the Stonewall Columbus office but that space had become unavailable when a larger group had requested use of the Stonewall Columbus office. Participants in the 10-30-2019 workshop had greatly appreciated the last-minute hospitality of the Thompson Community Center.We had been the only people inside of the building [except for one staff member] during our workshop but I am certain that this center [I can tell from some of the signs that are posted on the walls] is far busier after school and on weekends.

Is a neiborhood oriented place. There is helpful staff and is near free.

I learn how to swim here. Shot my first basket here this place is legendary

Space is good but guy is creepy at desk. I went to kill 30 minutes while waiting for someone. They talked about how homeless people make themselves ar home etc while looking in my direction. Made me quite uncomfortable with what was said amd how. At that time he was also flirting and messing with the much younger female employee. Rather inappropriate.

LOCK YOUR VALUABLES UP! A THEIF WENT THROUGH MY COAT IN A GYMNASIUM AND TOOK MY CELL PHONE AND CREDIT CARDS. THIS IS A PUBLIC BUILDING THAT IS OPEN TO ANYONE SO ANY SHADY CHARACTER CAN WALK IN.

Fantastic soccer program here with a great community of parents and coaches.

I been coming to Thompson Recreation Center for almost 12 years . Its a great place for all sports for kids of all ages . And also have a swimming pool next door . Thompson Recreation is the Best .
