It was clean, a little small but the staff was very friendly and the drinks were delicious. I was surprised by the size of the cups with my mixed drink but they definitely made them so you dont notice the size

Fun place to chill and grab a drink. It has a older crowd so no need to worry about young punks fighting the night away. The live band on the weekends is one of the best things about this place. I love going here.

Excellent drink specials!!!! Kinda questionable about the payment system. Cash only if no cash theres a credit card machine that you can purchase bar credits with of course a processing fee...

Heard a lot of good things about the history of this bar. The customers are great which is interesting because when i was there seems like the workers were pissed about something. Oh well Id go back to have a different experience but Im skeptical.

They remodeled which is nice. But I gave it 3 stars due to the fact that they no longer take ATM cards but want to be paid cash when getting drinks. It would be smart to put in a ATM machine so people can buy drinks.

Very rude, unfriendly. The bartender threw my drink out when I stepped out to smoke but didnt touch anyone elses. I heard good things about the place thats why I went clearly thats not true for a newcomer.

I went in on Saturday night and ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and it was $13.95 I thought it was $10 like most places the woman told me the price but I didnt hear her say$13.95 anyway I paid for it and it was mediocre taste like a plain $6 drink I was very disappointed to say the least if and when I decide to go back to this place I will only order drinks that come in a bottle no mix drinks not sure why the Long Island is more expensive than most higher end places this is why it can be a challenge to try to support and patronize local neighborhood business dont get me wrong if the drink was exceptional I would not have given a negative review however the quality of the drink was not worth the outrageous price.

CANABAR IS THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE ANY KIND OF PARTY. AWESOME STAFF AND A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX . AND REALLY GREAT LIVE BANDS.

My uncle was playing tonight, and so a lot of our family came to support him. My cousins and I were in our seats enjoying the music, not being obnoxious or anything, when suddenly the owner comes over. She asked us, Do you guys play tonight? and we told her no. She asked if we were playing with my uncles band and we told her no, then I explained to her that our uncle was in the band. She then asked if we were going to buy a drink, and we told her no. She then got huffy and said that there were a lot of other customers that bought drinks that do not have a seat, telling us that we are wasting space if we are not going to purchase a drink. She tried to bully us for about 5 minutes into buying alcohol and patronized my older cousin demanding to see her ID and was seriously in her personal space even after she explained over and over that we were just here to support our uncle. Once my aunt got involved, she just made a remark and left.To start off, it was crowded anyway, so even if we gave up our seats, there still would have been people who still wouldnt have anywhere to sit. Secondly, it was very unprofessional to bully us into buying drinks. It wasnt like there was a sign posted that it was mandatory to buy one. People come to bars and only come for the music all the time! I think it was highly disrespectful to our preferances. For all she knew, we could have a low tolerance of alcohol, been at our limit, or even have religious beliefs that forbid alcohol. I feel that she picked on us because we were younger (even though we are both over 21), which is still no excuse for her to talk to us like that. Overall, it was very unprofessional and unnecessary.

This I consider the African-American CHEERS!!! If you want to be in place where everybody knows your name and their ALWAYS GLAD you came then this is the place for ALL RACE & ETHNIC groups. WE LOVE EVERYBODY and those that come once to visit seem to ALWAYS make their way back.You wanna be where you can see that people are all the same, you wanna be where everybody knows your name. Bands Friday Saturday and Sunday.. ... BJ cooks great food. The atmosphere is laid back...averag age about 47...Bar maids are VERY cool except the old lady.. she is sometimie with her attitude .. Just be sure to lock your car and have no goods visible seen.. there is a pool table.. and They have breakfast and jazz some Saturdays.

The reggae band on Saturdays is great.
