Totally enjoyed it ! A must see Treasure if in Columbus! Theresa was such a pleasure to meet and her enthusiasm was simply astonishing. Her informative tour made this landmark an impelling piece of history for our community.
Ms. Highsmith is an excellent storyteller. She uses the artifacts and posters to really weave together a story about Ma Rainey the artist, the minstrel circuit, paramount records, race records and more. I have plans to go back and learn more soon.
MA Rainey house is so beautiful. What a classy and sassy buisness woman.
Very interesting. Maybe some PG-13 info included. Ma Rainey was a real character. Her piano still sits there. The house has been restored to the period. Interesting stories told by the guide. It is a guided personal tour. Includes her lifestyle, music, and an insight into the life of black americans in that era. Interesting for some preteens and adults that appreciate history and blues beginnings.
Nice little museum. It reopened mid August.
Theresa was a lovely, friendly tour guide!
Very interesting. I learned a lot about Ma Rainey and the things she overcame in her life.
Historical great commentator Theresa!!!

It was not open! Sign says it was supposed to be open.
I had a fun and interesting trip. I learned facts that shocked me. Ma Rainey was a bold woman and did not let anything get her down.
Free tour. Its very small not much to see but the tour person made it interesting.
