We purchased a play set from Play N’ Learn Columbia in May 2020. During the purchasing process, the sale representative (George) was readily available via chat, email and phone to answer my questions and provide me with information regarding the purchase (as we were not able to see the sets in the store due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Our set was installed in June 2020 and upon inspecting the installed play set, I noticed that many of the beams were split, damaged, and splintered. This was extreme concerning to us, given that it is an expensive purchase and we worried about the safety and quality of the product (note: the split beams got worse with use). I contacted George to make him aware of the damage and, over the course of a few days, continued to contact George regarding additional beams that I realized had damage. I requested over and over via email and multiple calls that George call me to discuss the problems and a resolution and not once did he call me to discuss. He offered, via email, to have some of the beams replaced but had to seek approval from his manager (Frank). Due to the lack of responsiveness from George and the lack of any indication that he cared one bit about the damage to our brand new play set, I began contacting Frank directly. Frank offered to come to my house to look at the damage that I was complaining about and to decide what can be done to fix it. I appreciated his willingness to come to look at the product himself; however, he showed up at my house with an attitude and was very impolite and unprofessional in his demeanor. Frank insisted that the “damage” I identified was normal and, over and over again, he told me “if you are expecting perfection, maybe a wooden play set isn’t for you.” It was not until I pointed out how unprofessional and rude he was being to me, that Frank change his tone. Eventually, he agreed to replace some, not all, of the damaged beams. I was, and still to this day am, taken aback at the way that I was treated by both George and Frank, but I wanted to wait until the damage beams were replaced before I posted my experience. This is a word of mouth business and I want everyone to be aware of my experience and this company’s complete disregard for its customers. Most customer service oriented companies would have apologized that the product and/or installation was not up to par and would have immediately offered to make it right. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive one apology, they charged me $399 for installation and Frank informed me that I was lucky to even get a play set in the first place because of the high demand. This is not a cheap product and I suggest taking your money elsewhere to avoid all of the stress, regret and disappointment that this experience has caused. I am attaching a few pictures of the damage, so you can see for yourself what I was left with upon installation.

We had the best experience with this company! From start to finish they were so wonderful to deal with! We looked at a lot of different companys and we couldnt be happier with the decision we made going with Play N Learn! We wanted to get a play set for our son for his birthday... we were shown every type of play set.. and were explained all the different options. They walked us through every step and made all the decisions so easy! We were very grateful for such amazing customer service! The play set came and we actually ended up being able to get it a little sooner than what was originally quoted which my son was extremely happy about! When the guys came out they were very nice.. I showed them where we wanted it and they had it up in no time! They did a fantastic job! We absolutely love our play set from here and it was worth every penny! Our son and our dog have played on it every single day since its been up... It is such great quality and it looks so great in the backyard as well! Thank you Play N Learn for making this a such a great experience.. was such a breath of fresh air dealing with everyone from here! Thank You!!

Just got a trampoline from play n learn. The trampoline is the best, and wonderful for my 3 kids. So sturdy and well designed. Sarah at play n learn was wonderful in helping us. I even referred my sister to get one too!

My 6 year old fully enjoyed it, just 8 dollars for 2 hours of play time. Ideal for 3 to 10 year olds, if kid is younger than that, you have swings, adults can enjoy too with basketball, table tennis and others. lot of trampolines, slides, variety of swings. Book tickets in advance during winters. I suggest this place for birthday parties.

Knowing this swing set was going to be with my family for a long time, we had a lot of questions regarding several models. Rick was fantastic. He was available to chat any day and time. He was super helpful and informative. He was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We have hosted several birthday parties at Play NLearn and never thought we would own our own set. The kids play on our set every single day. The installation had a minor hiccup, but Rick was very quick to help remedy. I would recommend Rick and Play NLearn to anyone looking to purchase a quality swing set.

Ordered a trampoline for my sons birthday. They told me they would do everything they could to get it to me on time. It arrived as they said, and the birthday party went off without a hitch! Thanks again for all you did, Sarah

I purchased a set from Play n Learn Columbia MD back in June, and it was just installed today. My salesman, George (Buddy) was amazing. Being in sales myself, I appreciated Buddy’s knowledge, follow up, and fast response times when I asked for multiple quote variations. He made sure to answer all of my questions to make sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. He even entertained our questions in the showroom so we could see in person what we were purchasing. It really made us feel at ease with our purchase to know exactly what we were getting. When it came to installation, the crew was on time and amazing. Frank, who is the manager, was assisting with installation himself (helping the crew out to get ahead of all of the delays due to COVID). Frank made sure he discussed with me exactly where the playset was going oriented in my mulched in area, he laid out all of the pieces and partially assembled and made sure to get my final approval before complete assembly, and ran through the playset and user manual for use and care. This was truly one of the best purchasing experiences in my life on such a large ticket item. Thank you very much Buddy, Frank, and the install crew today. Amazing job all around!

Ricky Vincent was very helpful in my purchase of a rainbow playset. Originally, I had chosen a set that I thought was right. However, due to the Pandemic and choosing not to shop in person, it was hard to know if that was correct. Turns out, it wasn’t the set I wanted. Ricky was able to help me select a playset that was a better fit for our family. He also advised me on its required maintenance and caretaking. I am thrilled for it to go up (soon!) and I know my kids will have years and years use of it.

Have now called several times to no avail. Not even a return call. Dont trust this company will do the right thing period... My Dad bought a great playground from these folks prior to his passing. We called them to maintain it and they sent out a crew to pressure wash it and stain it.This was a very expensive playground. The crew did a horrible job pressure washing it and cleaning it prior to staining it. Then they stained all the parts instead of removing them. Called several times and they still havent come out and even looked at it. They know of the problem. Paid almost $1,000 for the paint etc... I feel like I should get a full refund for this for certain. Ill post pictures later. It is really poor work. Just get in your car and come out and look at your crews work and you will understand my frustration already.

Went here for a birthday party. It was a nice setup of outdoor play sets in a warehouse. The kids had non-stop fun. Would definitely go back. It is only $8 for 2 hours of play time.

Hosted my sons 2nd Birthday party here and we couldnt have been more pleased. Everything went off without a hitch. Our event coordinator made sure we had everything we needed and was great about giving me a quick rundown before the party started. She also made sure we knew where to find her and that if we needed anything at all that she would be ready to help. She checked on us a few items throughout the party, as well. All of the kids really enjoyed the equipment and about half of them now want to have their Birthday parties there. Also, a few weeks before we had my sons party there they allowed us to come check out the place for free and he got to play on the equipment. I would recommend this place for kids between the ages of 2 and 8. They have a great concept and good thing going. Awesome for an afternoon with your kids and excellent for a Birthday party. Cant wait to visit again.

Absolutely poor customer service and as a result of Tyrones action, i will not be purchasing. For background, I am absolutely purchasing playground equipment for my 3 children and intended to do so today. I spoke with Corey, who is professional and polite. Corey answered all of my questions. However, prior to purchasing, I decided to view the equipment. I called PlaynLearn and Tyrone answered. I explained to him that I wanted to view the quality of the equipment and that I would be there at approximately 2:30 pm. Tyrone proceeded to say that there were customers scheduled at that time . I was okay coming at another date/time. Instead he said, People always say that they are coming and never do; go ahead and come. So we packed the family up and headed out. We are approximately 1 hour out from that location and we accidentally took the long way! At approximately, 2:25 pm. I called PlaynLearn, and Tyrone answered. I said told him that I was en route and that my GPS had my arrival time at 2:55 pm. He proceeds to say You know we close at 4pm right? I said, I know. My reason for calling was to let them know that I was running late. He then repeated, arrogantly and rude You know we close at 4pm? I responded No worries; thanks!. Hes clearly not a professional. If there was an issue with my arrival time, you state that. Any professional, would have done so. Something along the lines of, I dont think that may work, do you want to reschedule? Instead he behaved like an animal. I intended on getting playground equipment and a trampoline; but, I refuse to spend 6k and be treated in that manner!

We recently purchased a Rainbow Clubhouse along with installation. The installers, Kevin and Justin were awesome to work with. They did a great job getting everything set quickly and correctly. They asked for my feedback while doing the work which was considerate. I was very happy with the finished product. My kids love it.

I had my daughters birthday party here. The lady who worked was counting down since I got there..breathing down my neck. Dude let me enjoy my daughters birthday party. It was so bad. She basically kicked everyone out 5 mins before it was supposed to end. Guess she had someone else to go. Not worth it.

This is a great place to burn your kids energy. It is a 20 min ride from our house but it is worth the trip as my sons get a good afternoon nap after a morning trip to this place. They have trampolines, foosball, table tennis, various sizes of playsets, basketball hoops, and an air hockey table. There is an activity for everyone in your family to enjoy. When kids get hungry and need a snack, a separate area with tables and chairs is provided. The place is available for birthday parties as well.

I am so happy with our new swing set!Rick Vincent, from the sales department was so wonderful! He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable for all of my questions, concerns and requests. It was a pleasure working with him.Very Happy!

WAS a frequent patron but NEVER again!!!Wonderful place to take your children to play but due to the poorest customer service, we will never return or recommend to our friends & family.My mother made a birthday party reservation for my 9yr old daughter online and it was confirmed by a staff member. Less than 48 hours later, she was advised that the booking no longer existed and the slot was no longer available. When we contacted them to inquire, we were met with rude, dismissive and abrasive responses by their management. More specifically, a man named Frank who identified himself as the manager. The staff took 0 responsibility and did NOTHING to rectify their neglectful actions and even blamed us!!! Absolutely horrendous and unacceptable way to treat their customers. On top of all of this, Frank then contacts my mother to advise her that they did in fact see the booking in their system but could not see why it didnt secure. A clear mistake on their part. Luckily though, we were able to book Hyperkidz instead (which was my daughters 1st choice anyway) Beware of this place if you are ever trying to plan a party!!!!! The staff and mgmt is TERRIBLE!

This is a great place to purchase a swing set. Rick in particular was extremely helpful. He spent a lot of time helping me find the perfect set within my budget.

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I certainly would. Our family loved coming here. After our most recent visit when an older gentleman, (who was there alone and wandering) attempted to take my son off of the ladder he was climbing up. I quickly gathered my children, told a staff member, and left. There are never any staff on the floor to keep an eye out for these things or any other potential safety issues. After following up with management because the staff member I spoke with was very rude, the manager replied with an email stating that “the man was likely just trying to help my son up the ladder rather than what I thought.” Their solution to my son almost getting abducted at their establishment that has no cameras, no regulations on who can just walk in, and that is extremely understaffed was that “we’d never have to pay again when we came”.. Needless to say we will NEVER be returning and as a mom who is already extremely cautious, I strongly recommend using extra caution at this establishment.

Google should allow negative stars for matters like this. Look at the owners response to negative comments- aggressive, condescending, and combative. The owner makes responses geared towards what he thinks sounds good versus fact. I am the husband that took over the phone call my wife made to this establishment AFTER my mother in law called to confirm for the SECOND time that we were in fact booked for my daughters birthday party. Yes, that is correct, the SECOND time because she called and was told the next day by YOUR EMPLOYEE that it was a confirmed reservation and booked in your system NOT minutes later as you would like to claim. Furthermore, it was my mother in law that followed up a second time to make sure it was booked when she didnt receive a receipt days later. She was told- no, maybe it was a different play and learn and that they absolutely didnt receive a call nor any record of an order. So yes, my wife called to speak to a manager to address the issue, and was told by the guy answering the phone that he was a manager of the establishment. When he kept giving my wife vague responses and refused to address the issue i in fact got on the phone and asked him plainly- what would of happened if we had shown up for my daughters 9th bday party and were turned away? He couldnt even say sorry or take any responsibility.... when i asked more questions on how they process orders i was told to hold and then a manager named Frank came on the phone. Frank laughed at me when i asked what if i had shown up with 30 people and were told we were never booked. He basically called me a liar and said that was my problem because they only allow 18. I explained that i was including adults that would obviously be coming to a childs birthday party. When i told him how my mother booked the party and it was confirmed by an employee he laughed and said it was not possible because the only person there that day said they never spoke to my mother in law. When i said i thought he and his employees were very negligent he began to yell at me, mind you this was about the fourth time in as many chances he had that he would interrupt me and talk over me while laughing at my daughters misfortune due to him and his employees negligence. A short time later, Frank called my mother in law (i wonder how he got the number since there was NO record according to Frank earlier) and attempted to give her a backhand apology. He then shifted all of the blame on her for the credit card not going thru. Nevermind that she was basically called a liar even though your employee confirmed the booking and told her she was all good for that date. Go to this place if you enjoy being disrespected and talked down to while being called a liar. This management takes ZERO responsibility for their actions or lack there of as shown from another womans account of her child being accosted by an older man and the owners response is nothing short of berating. RUN TO THE NEAREST COMPETITOR TO SPEND YOUR MONEY!

Great indoor playground without all the fuss. Basketball, trampolines, and playsets, plenty of room for the kids to run without me panicking about loosing them. Good for 3-10 year olds.

Please do not go there if the lady is there . I went there yesterday with my kids . Because my son dropped a lit bit water she mopped and talked so loud . She did not threat nicely anyone around her because you can see that when you talk to her . Who hires this lady please next time hire someone who can talk to people in a nice way and likes kids .

A literal indoor playground with lots of fun stuff for both kids and adults. Its fairly priced at $8 for a two hour session (more than enough time for our 2 year old). They have various sized trampolines, a small basketball court corner, jungle gyms, and benches for seating. They also have a corner near the back to sit and eat lunch.

Have taken my son there a few times. Fun, lots of slides, trampolines to use! I don’t like the reservation system though.

We had our Birthday Party for our 3 year old daughter at Play N Learn. It was an amazing experience. The owner Michael was exceptionally warm and friendly. They helped us set-up the rooms, helped with loading the cake, goody bags etc. from the car. The price was very reasonable. The play area was absolutely fabulous for 3-6 year group. The whole experience was very personal and we loved it. We ha about 18 people with 25 adults and it was a very seamless experience. I would recommend this to everyone!

Indoor playground, basketball, and trampolines, clean and climate controlled. Great for rainy, snowy, or super hot days or really anytime the kids need to get out and expend some energy and the weather outside isnt conducive to that. Great for kids of all ages. Younger children will need to be closely supervised as there is playground equipment for kids of all ages (swings, slides, climbing, etc.).

We love our new clubhouse-- the on line service and in store staff were wonderful, the sale price was excellent and then the delivery and installation team were phenomenal! I would recommend this store and their products to all my friends. Thank you!

Went for a kids bday party. Neat concept and very clean facilities. A chance to play on equipment and for them to advertise. Very much a on your own experience though... No staff wondering through or ensuring things are ok. Still, safe and clean. Good for kids about 4 and up.

Great place for 3 to 6 year olds. The price is reasonable and they have a person dedicated to assisting with parties. They have 4+ trampolines, dozens of playground equipment, basketball, foosball, and ping pong.The only thing that pissed me off is someone working there said they replaced the ping pong paddles and balls weekly. He lied. These things have not been replaced since I was there a year ago. Not a single paddle was able to be used. Sucks because I planned to crush my bro in law at ping pong. Sorry for the rant...

I love it here especially during the winter months. My son loves to jump on the trampolines and they have a nice indoor basketball set up that is nice to hoop on as well as the swing and slide sets . Its just alot off space and my favorite indoor activity.

I remember this as having more space the first time I went; recently returned and it seemed very crowded (had to pay close attention to make sure kids werent running in front of swings, especially). The trampolines and air hockey table were new and the kids loved them. It is an entertaining place but I felt like I couldnt relax for a second or my kids might get konked with a swing or konk someone else; I was all wound up by the time we left! Not sure if I will go back.

A nice place to bring the kids on a rainy afternoon. Its not usually crowded and adults get in free. My only suggestion would be to add a changing table in the mens room.

My husband and I brought our 2-year-old daughter here for the first time today--an indoor playground provided us an excellent alternative to playing in the cold! However, we were turned down because the facility met its capacity limit. We were told that nobody new would be permitted until 12:15PM (meaning we would have had to wait 45 mins to play, which we were not going to do with a toddler). Seemed like a silly policy that, according to the employee, was considered fair. (Wait, what?) So, disappointed, we left. My daughter, who couldnt understand the situation, began crying as soon as we headed to our car. What we didnt understand was why they couldnt allow new customers to enter whenever some left; using a counting clicker, the occupancy level could easily be adjusted and monitored to allow those arriving to enter as soon as there was available space. Using a counting system seems like a no brainer. It was confusing and frustrating to see about 8 children and their parents leave--during the few minutes we were there--only to be turned away. Further, it was upsetting to have a child cry after showing her a fun playground only to walk back out the door. It didnt seem to make any sense for a company to turn down paying customers for extended periods of time during what is probably their least profitable season (seeing as it sells outdoor equipment). Luckily, a backup plan was readily available just a few minutes away at the Swellness Center. Not the same, but better than driving back home right away.

We love the trampolines, slides, and the snack room! Some of the other local indoor playgrounds dont allow food or drinks, so being able to have a place to eat our snacks is so helpful with the kids.
