Being that this was my first time ever visiting the Comedy House I really enjoyed it. The comedians were great and I will be visiting again.

Jackie Fabulous was funny. My friends and I really enjoyed the show. The staff was very nice. And the food and drinks were good. So if you need a good laugh, The Comedy house is the place.

I was taken there, for my birthday, and Cocoa Brown was the headliner. She rocked the house, gave me a gift, and took a picture with me. The food was good and the service was phenomenal!

The food and comedians were very good. The starter Spencer Neal was awesome I bought a DVD from him to give to my son. The main performance Shawty had me laughing from beginning to end very great show .

Clean facility, love how large the facility is! The food was good, decent variety of menu items and the entertainment was SUPERB !! The staff was effective, professional and friendly. Nice security protecting the employees and guests. Love the ease of making online ticket purchases. Id like to know if theyre open during the weekdays to just have lunch.

Food was not as good as before the shut down. Took 45 min get it everyone else came in after us was getting food before us.

The show was amazing. Directions were easy to follow. Food came out quickly. Only one small problem. Some of the tables were too small to sit 4 people comfortably. But the discomfort was quickly forgotten once the food arrived and the show began. Cant wait to go back!!

Terrible experience. I have been a regular patron of the Comedy House since moving back to Columbia in 2013. I have enjoyed fairly good experiences because the Headliners usually outweigh the atmosphere. The food is terrible, floors sticky, chairs busted, and if you get the wrong wait staff your day is ruined. The seating arrangement towards the stage is crowed and dangerous. The General Manager needs a lesson in customer service. He only cares about the 2 item minimum; even if it is their fault. You are forced to pay a 15% gratuity even if your service is well below quality. The Deputy Sheriffs they employ check your receipts to ensure compliance. This is not a great customer experience. My advice is to buy bottled drinks and avoid the food,

Food was good. However to me food should be served by table since we ordered together. My date received his wings 20 minutes or more before I received my hamburger and fries, so we were unable to actually eat together.

Laughter is good for the soul

I never had as much fun in my life until I went here. Good laughs and the food was ok. Chicken wings a little too seasoned, but overall, it was good. Chris Tucker performed that night.....hilarious.

This place has a 2 drink minimum, if you try to leave early they make you pull out your receipt.. not only that, the mixed drinks were horrible! I ordered an apple martini and it tasted like tequila and I could not switch it so I to buy another drink!! The food was also bad! I ordered chicken wings extra crispy and they came out undercooked! Coming from Jersey, I would have expected better!

Went to see Lavell Crawford. He was awesome but what else would you expect. Hes a comic genius. The comedy house itself could use some up grades cause we were sitting four to a table but the table literally couldnt sit four adolescence. Food was decent but not great. Had a really good time though.

Awesome place!!! They pay attention to who the audience likes and they do a great job bringing that talent to Columbia!! The service is always A-1 and Im a frequent guest now!!

The best comics in the land. Local and international alike. I always have a super time when we visit. Would like more wing flavors though. Lol (Wet Parm, Mango Jerk, or the last dab) You might have to look up that last one.

Fun place. They have good shows monthly. At this place you must purchase two items per person plus they add 15% tip in your check. But overall I always have a great time and the staff always nice.

The comedians were great! Very funny We enjoyed their comedy.But the waitress that didnt even wait on us tried to keep my change. Had to track her down after the show. Bad for business.

The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, the food and drinks are GREAT with fast and friendly service and the guest will have you falling out your seat with laughter. Always have a great time. Word of caution... you go there for the show/performance acts not the food. Food is subpar but it will get the job done. In addition, the service is slower because servers have a lot of people that all sit down at same time so be patient, patient, patient. If you go there to have a good time then you will. If you go to hackle the act good chance the performer will shame you (as they should). Been here plenty of times and look to going back more.

I visited for the Black Diamonds All Male Revue. Ladies lock up! It was a great show. There is a two item minimum but the food is good and so are the drinks. Nice large clean building. Polite wait staff. Fast service. I really enjoyed this outing and will definitely return in the near future.

Enjoyed the past few comedians that was there Junior and before that J.J. Williamson. They both were two nuts. The food could be a whole lot better. Especially the wings they always seem old.

It is a fun experience but two things you should know before going. 1. The language is often bad so if you are offended by cussing, this may not be for you. 2. There is a 2 item minimum and a tip is already added. The cheapest thing is a can soda and they are 2.75 so you end up spending at least 7 extra bucks. Ive seen a comedy show and it was funny and I saw the male review which thankfully for me kept a covering wrapped on the naughty parts in the front.

There was an error with our food. However Manager Peter promised to make good of the mistake on March 8th for the 10 of us by the stage. Still one of my favorite places to go. Dorae and Samantha are our favorites!! See you March 8th Comedy House!!!

Seen the great comedian Bruce Bruce for the first time tonight. To say that I really enjoyed myself wouldnt do justice for this review. Hes hilarious!!! From start to finish. He really knows his craft. Richard would have been proud if he to was in the audience. Atmosphere is great for grown and sexy people. A must place to go if youre looking to have a good time listening to the great comedians that are with us today.

Had a wonderful time, hadnt laughed that much in a long time. Doo Doo Brown was hilarious.

Everything was good except for the mushrooms no mushrooms just dough no flavor this used to be one of their best sellers

Needs an update to the interior and exterior. The prices they charge for events and food and drink items should allow for those updates to be budgeted in for them. The seating arrangements appear to be a fire hazard and the floors are coated with a slippery substance as well. I pray no true emergency takes place because the amount of injured, trampled, or dead people would be tragically high. The stage needs painting, badly! The bathrooms need attendants who clean regularly because there was urine and blood on the toilets, gross. Overall an uncomfortable and unsafe environment. All this nestled into yet another declining area of the city that gentrification has not yet seeped into, pummeled, overcome, and subdued. However, it is the only comedy place that caters to the ADOS community, so it is what it is.

Good food and atmosphere. One of my favorites (Lavell Crawford) lit the crowd up...He definitely made it more than worth going to the venue.

Lets see where do I begin the 2 items the food there is precarious sometimes itll be OK sometimes it wont be everything there is rather pricey the drinks are not Strong by any means of the word. They add gratuities to your bill in speaking as an ex server some of them do not deserve what they add in at all not trying to be ugly just being real. But mind you I gave the place 4 stars because the comedians 9 times out of 10 are pretty funny and I usually always get free tickets so its really hard to complain fully about a place where you get free .

Shaun Jones couldnt finish his set but he had us laughing the whole time! We only realized he didnt tell his jokes when he showed us his merchandise. Great night out for a private group

Rickey Smiley was great. This guy is much funnier in person. Down home comedy. Rickey you was outstanding. I only wish it was a Friday night so I didnt have to get up for work. Every one with him was funny.

Always have a great laugh at the comedy house but it would be nice to see new tables and chairs in there and maybe a bar in the lobby while waiting for the next show.

This is my new spot in Raleigh. They gave great acts, the cocktails are reasonably, and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for?

I love going to see shows here and I attend many events here I just wish they would update their decor and do a deep cleaning over all their shows are great but they definitely could use a makeover and some help in training their employees in customer service if there were some where else in Columbia to see these types of shows I wouldn’t go back but sadly there isn’t so I suck it up and enjoy the show there food is just ok we normally eat before we get there or after we leave I normally order a drink and fries for my 2 item minimum.

You can alway expect the best when you go to the Comedy House. No half stepping. Fast friendly service. Tonights show was awsome. I will never get tired of seeing the Cabernet this is the 11th anniversary I hope they last another successful 11yrs.

I give this business 5 stars for the warm atmosphere...nice... courteous staff... Variety of drinks and delicious variety of foods. You cant complain about anything and you get to laugh your butt off!!

I had a good time, however I think as long as the Comedy house has been around I believe it could be in a better location with a better qualify establishment. The seats are all torn it look like a building the was just put together. People will pay for what they get, the better the service the more people would been willing to pay. Each time I go to the comedy house I feel we the people in Columbia can do better then this. I have gone to different comedy houses in different states and they have been gorgeous. I am embarrassed about what we have and we are the Capital if South Carolina.IJS

Usually my husband and I go to place for a good laugh and comedy show. Food/drink prices are high. Be careful catching after 8pm shows as your car will be broken into. Building doesnt have outside cameras or security.

Was there Friday night for Arnez J show at 10, which didnt start until 11. We had a gentleman waiter who not only didnt put in our drink orders until after the rest of the table already got there food, but he never even put in our food orders at all!. After it was only 30 minutes left in the whole show another young lady came and told us she was taking over our table because our male waiter left. We did not get our food or drinks until the very end of the show and I feel like we should have been compensated somehow.

Went to the Comedy House as a last minute thing to do and we had a great time. Bo Dacious was funny telling the truth!

I always love coming to The Comedy House, especially seeing the Black Diamonds. By the way, if youve never seen a Black Diamonds show, you definitely have to check that show out, namely on a Saturday night. The only reason The Comedy House gets four stars instead of five is due to the two item minimum they have in place. Some items are cheap, but some are grossly overpriced, and if you pay for a ticket, I dont think you should forced to pay a two item minimum. Thats just me.

Had a GREAT time! The comedian Tony Rock was hilarious, and our waitress Victoria was splendid, even with a packed house. The club has updated their stage and backdrop, which is good. Still need fresh paint in lobby area and bathroom updates to improve venue overall. Still glad to see theyre working on reinvesting the funds to raise the ambiance from Piggly Wiggly feel to real club vibe to match the caliber of the comedians and patrons.

The comedian was great. The place is dated and could use an upgrade. There is no organization to entering or leaving the establishment and owners or management arent very welcoming. This is typical SC behavior and I was visiting from Atlanta. The food was cheap and gross and the drinks were not well made. The staff was not friendly and they still added gratuity to the bill. Service was horrible and I could have brought in Burger King and enjoyed it better.

Friday 9/13/2019 7:30pm Lavell Crawford was GREAT but there was no air Conditioning. The place was so hot an elderly lady got sick having an ambulance to come check her.

This is a solid spot for all kinds of live entertainment, mostly comedy shows. I’ve been here several times and don’t have many complaints. They run a pretty smooth local entertainment establishment.The staff is always friendly and courteous. They never get lost, like many other places that are busy all the time. They know how to handle all the customers they have at one time. They are always smiling and never pushy about placing orders before the shows, which you have to do.The only gripe I have about this place is overpriced food. The food would be ok for the price if they had more quality options. The food tastes like they bought it out of the grocer’s freezer, put a hefty price tag on it, and sell it to the patrons.There is a two item minimum that you have to order each time you come and check out a show. I normally just get wings and a soda because I HATE their fries!!! My 3 year old cousin can make better fries than that. So I just stick to what I know. Also, gratuity is added to each bill, so if you want to leave your wait staff more that’s up to you, but they make pretty good either way it goes.If this place took the quality of their food up a notch, I wouldn’t have a problem with the food. I give them a pass on the food because a lot of the times they offer free or discounted tickets to the shows. I don’t think I ever paid full price if anything at a show here and I’ve been almost 10 times.I never have a problem with the entertainment!!! The shows are top notch!!! It seems like I’m here at least once a month lately. They bring some of the best comedians and entertainers around the country here and they surely put on one helluva show!!!

These folks have stupid rules that prevent groups from sitting together if they do not arrive together. My friends and I were prevented from enjoying the show together because we arrived at different times and some of us ordered food. To make matters worse nobody could explain why.....I will not be going back......
