Just a fenced off section of a field with some play equipment. No running water, and threatening signs about closing the park everywhere if you dont pick up after your dog. In the middle of a suburb. Good for a quick social play time mid-week, but nothing too spectacular about this place.
Awesome, clean place with lots of friendly people.
Very clean, they had poop bags available and scoopers. Plenty of water bowls and bottles for the dogs. People seem to leave toys for other dogs. But people who visit should be a little more on their dogs when it comes to interacting with the other dogs. Our blue healer had to snap at a husky that just wouldnt leave him alone and the Huskies owners didnt try to take him away from our dog
My dog always enjoys running after her ball and the other dogs dont bother her much. The owners of other dogs need to pick up after their dogs, but there are regulars that go around with the scooper to make up for those lazy dog owners. Still....
I really like this dog park it has a few obstacles for the pups and enough room for them to run around. Definitely not huge but its very fun
Good park, well maintained and the dogs and people were friendly.
Great place its not to big but people bring really friendly dogs
Spacious enclosure with seating and cover for shade. Its part of a large open space area with playgrounds, picnic tables, fields and trails for diverse family activities. No water hydrant in the dog area.
The place is a giant open field great for dogs to run around in. There are some random tennis balls around. Nice people around who take their dogs there. Plenty if places to sit, and trash cans to dispose if your dogs waste. Around the park is some unfenced open area if you are looking to just walk your dog around on a lead. Second fenced in area as well for smaller pups or if youre like me let your dog be alone to warm up to other dogs in the area. Gravel and wood chip ground. Definitely glad I went. Felt it was good exhaustion for my dog.
Nice park. People bring water for the dogs in gallon jugs & leave for others. Nice job!
Nice clean area to take the puppers so they can run around
Lovely dog park. On the small side but doesnt usually get too busy so plenty of space for my dog enjoy himself.
Nice little dog park with nice people in nice dogs very close to my house. Not quite as big as Bear Creek but very nice and very clean.
Mostly love this place, some of the people can be rude though. Some regulars ignore the rules and act very arrogant. Just have to go at the right times.
This is a cute fenced in area for your dog, it is pretty big and has a few things for your little guy to climb on, there are a few seat inthe pen so you can watch your doggo and talk with other people. Right next to the dog pen is an elementary school, so while your dog is playing your kids can also play while you watch both of them.
Could be bigger and have some more trees but the people and dogs are friendly and my pups love the open space around it
Always lots of dogs for my fur baby to make friends with and is always clean! Definitely a favorite
Lots of space for good boys to run and play
It was good for dogs who want to run around, but not many obstacles or grass.
Spend good quality time there.
Nice big space for dogs to run! Bring your own water for your dog, warm if in winter. Bowls of water for dogs have ice/frozen since it is below freezing. Not sure anything can be done about that. A little out of the way but great overall dog park.
New to the area trying to find new Dog friendly places here in the springs ! Had to wait for most of the dogs to leave tho
Well kept and fairy clean.
Its a great little dog park not very big so nice for little dogs and big dogs as well
My dogs always tear up their pads on their paws when coming here. Idk if it’s how rough the ground is or what? It is nice having a dog park in this area though
I love to take my dogs here
Worst dog park I’ve ever been to. The small dog fenced in part was being occupied by 2 pit bulls and when I told the owners that it was for small dogs they replied with they were here first.
Cute little dog park. Not too much to say.
The park is conveniently located for residents but its not the best park in the city by any stretch. However, it has had improvements made over the last three years that are slowly making it nicer. Given that the city funds very little money to these tiny dog parks, at least we can say we have one at all thats fenced and dogs are allowed off leash. Give it time and maybe more donations and well continue to see it made better. Dont compare it to bear Creek though or youll be disappointed but for a quick trip that doesnt require a car ride this park will do just fine
I love the location and they just installed a great little pagoda. I have been bitten and on another occasion screamed at by some lady who had like 7 dogs, she was petting my dog while I was calling him to leave I had asked her to please stop petting him, she took it wrong and exploded. Other than being aware who is there its a great park.
1. nice enclosed dog park2. good size, two areas for large and small breeds3. water available4. only issue is often people have dogs who do not play nice with other dogs but youll get this anywhere you go
I take my dogs here because it is close to our house. They really enjoy it. It doesnt matter what time of day it is, there are always other dogs at this park. The owners of the dogs and the dogs are always nice and play well. I have never had an issue and despite it being small it is a good dog park. I will continue to to take my dogs here!
Great place to socialize your dog. Friendly people, friendly pups. Wish the park would be bigger.
Cool place near several large open fields and in a friendly neighborhood. Have only had positive experiences here. Good place to hang out and let the dog expend energy. If youre training your dog to fetch or behave off a leash, this place is ideal, assuming your dog isnt the life of the party at the dog park. ;)
Glad to have it there. It has greatly improved since it was installed about 10 years ago as an eagle scout project. Back then it was just a fenced area... Now they have added a bit more bushes and rocks.
I read this from another reviewer on here. Facilities are best maintained in town....I just wanted to inform the community that the people using the park are the ones that are taking care of it(for the most part). The city does pick up the dog WASTE BASKETS, but they do not clean inside the park. That is our responsibility. So please clean up and dispose of your dogs waste in the trash cans. I know there are a lot of good dog owners that take their time and walk around the park and clean up other dogs waste that people leave behind and they should be thanked for that. So in closing, please pick up your dogs waste. It just promotes for a healthy and better environment for our dogs to play in.Side note: City workers mow the park a few times a year and drop off the mulch when it is available to the park. Props to them.
My husband and I have lived here in Colorado springs for a year. We have taken our single dog Gunner to this park almost everyday. Hes a year and 7 months, still a puppy. Now for the first time in a year, before entering the park I was approached and asked if my dog was fixed I answeredyes before being able to ask why the lady turned to the park and yelled Hes fixed, hes fixed! To everyone in the park. I felt insulted and confused on why a person would do such a thing. After I let my dog in the park a women sitting on the dirt ground yanked her dog away and grabbed on to her as it where for dear life as if my dog was an aggressive dog. My dog lader went to the other side of the park and tried playing with these three puppies as soon as my dog started to sniff and get ready to play the owner had yelled at my dog to get away. I asked if her dog had an issue, medical issue, she replied with no that she heard my dog growl at her dog. This all took place with in 5 minutes of us being there so I grabbed my dog and left.I have you know my dog is the sweetest most loving dog there is. He never once growled at me, family, friends, or other animals!! Not known to get in to fights. He is FAR FROM AGGRESSIVE! And all he wants to do is play. And for you people to bully him is disgusting!!
Great little community. Everyone at the park knows each other, and helps look out for each others dogs. This is the kind of park that if a stray dog shows up, someone will take it into their home until the owner is found. There had been a couple of incidents when I was going there where someone would bring an incredibly aggressive and poorly socialized dog, and everyone would work together to help the new dog owners learn how to train the dog, and the dog is now one of the friendliest pups there!
Great enclosed area for dogs to run around. Everyone that goes there extremely friendly. Plus they have little kiddie pools for dogs to cool off.
Amazing decent size dog park! Always nice people. If the weather is good, there is usually people there. It is most sticks amd grass but is still nice.
Love this place. Our babies are always safe and welcome and make new friends here. So grateful for the sun shade!
PROS:-Lots of space-Fun obstacles for dogs-Two separate enclosed areas*-Great view-Nice, clean neighborhood-Seating-Water jugs for public use.-Parking isnt a problem-Lighting by the entrance after dark-Poop bags, which seem to be consistently used as there was very little throughout the park-Pseudo walking space around the fenceCONS:-Difficult to get to-Rude regulars, didnt call their dogs off while they were attacking and biting mine. Plus shunned us from conversations and certain areas. Seemed VERY unwanted there.-Violent dogs (like others have said, the terrier was the worst, but many MANY others were aggressive and mean) No one even said hello or sorry. Seemed more like a day care for the dogs while the owners socialized and used phones.-Rather unclean and unkept park, but subjective. Its for dogs, not us.-People had their large dogs in the DESIGNATED SMALL DOG area. Every other complaint could be forgiven if this small point wasnt violated. It left us without a park for our two dogs.-*The Small dog area is just two large lumps of mulch and lots of space. No obstacles or anything.-More lights needed as it is a 24 h/r park-No bathrooms (forgivable)Advice: Dont bring any dogs under 20 lbs unless on a leash or protected by a second, larger dog (we werent the only ones to leave due to the treatment). Make sure your pet is up to date in their rabies as they likely will be bitten.
Stopped here so our boxer could play while we are on a road trip. Park is fenced in and there is seating under a tent like structure. We were unable to let our dog off leash due to an aggressive dog and a horrible pet parent. This little terrier was so aggressive he actually bit our dog. Not too thrilled with this local hospitality. For this reason I give it 2 stars. What a shame.
Clean and tidy...
Close-by very convenient been coming since 2009.
It was a large area for my dog to run. They were putting down mulch and upgrading the park. The other dogs were nice. It was a nice place for my first time dog park visit. My dog is passed out cold. Thanks.
Usually plenty of friends for your four-legged friend. Lots of room to run, and play. Very clean. Knocked a point because there is no shade.
Large play area, great view, very clean. Our dog had a great time with all the other dogs.
Facilities are best maintained in town. Most people are friendly, but you do find more than average amount of inconsiderate/rude people. Just keep an eye out for the pet owners vs pet parents.
Busy day but good times for sure
Really too small for anything other than letting your dog off the leash my dogs are ready to leave really quick. Drive a little bit if you can and go to the Bear Creek dog park or just walk around the neighborhood instead.
Nice
Has water and a bowl for your dog. Two fenced in areas. Lots of room for dogs. No shade though.
Clean and we didnt have a single problem or issue.
Great small park for your dog. Really nice people as well
Great 1st time. .. all the dogs and their humans are readily nice
Go somewhere else if you are looking for a well kept dog park or somewhere to sit down comfortably and enjoy yourself at the dog park with your dog.
Its okay. Its close to our home but we prefer not to take our dogs here outside of play dates because there are never any other dogs there.
Nice dog park. Wood chips all on the ground so my dogs dont get in the car with mud or dirt.
Great community dog park. Several poop stations, logs to climb over, shade for owners, water jugs are filled by owners and rotated out. Wood chips may be annoying to some dogs.
First time here today with my fur ball. Covered in snow so I couldnt see anything but it was sure spacious
Took my dog here a few times, first experience was awful, but I thought Id try again. Needless to say, he left with a couple scars. Dont go here
Very aggressive, dominate dogs. Owners act like its ok. Then get mad if your dog defends themselves.
This is an ok park. Its mostly weeds. There are bags to pick up your puppy business. Its a large fenced in area located walking distance from The Meadows apartments.
Come on man..Doesnt anyone care about animals? Not even your dogs want to piss or crap in this Shanty of a City Park!Get it together CO Springs! Damn..I think RVs have been spotted dumping there crapper & pee tanks in the dog run area & You cant blame em - Cuz it looks like a shat dumping area!Just being honest!G J
Wonderful place for letting your dogs play
Spacious park with plenty to keep both of us occupied.
Nice, secluded dog park. Not too busy
Great little dog park, the locals keep up with it very well.
Neglectful owners. They just crowd around and talk to each other about their lives, letting their dogs poop everywhere and fight. Its a mess.
Best. Dog park. Ever.
Good dog
Go fun!
Not crowded but pretty difficult to find.
Very legit, ideal for days you dont feel like walking across Bear Creek. Just needs a little more TLC from people who dont clean up their puppys business. Open view of park makes it a lot more lax.
Dogs have a good time here
Nice dog park.
People need to throw trash in cans not on ground
Nice little neighborhood dog park.
This is an amazing peaceful place to take dogs
Tiny empty I think there was one tree. We will not be coming back here.
Clean, a well-kept secret.
Nice little park.
People werent very friendly
No running water and always windy here.
Needs to be cleaned up
Great Place
Best dog park in town!
People bring dogs that fight.
Nice
Very bare
Yep
Smaller park and lots of friendly people
Great dog park
Clean, plenty of water, with two separate parks
Large running space and very clean
