I just went to walk my dog, thats all. I sure do miss the Pikes Peak locomotive. The park just doesnt seem the same. I guess one of these days the powers that be(city park & recreation officials) might find it it the kindness of their hearts to open a park bathroom. Instead of two horrendous porta a potties.I wonder if any park bathrooms around town are ever open???Not a place I like or enjoy visiting, like I did in the past!!!
Was gonna come here for a picnic but the pavilion was closed off, most of the shaded areas in the grass were taken by homeless. Cant blame them. Didnt get to picnic
The city has removed the picnic tables. The gazebo is taped up, and the cops watch the park like a pecking ground to prey on the homeless. I avoid this park like the plague.
Its cool they have the skating experience and its cool !!!!!
Nice bike trails
Quite place very nice little park
Pavilion is closed off, and theres a lot of tweakers but plenty of high quality restaurants, and food places for a good bite to eat.
Nice small park right downtown, defined walkways paths for human and animal use,, use to have a train there labeled 186 old train but I dont remember when it was made or used but they removed it? nice pavilion covered areas with picnic tables to rest and enjoy the view or eat a meal, great area to hang out at. Has large stone artwork with information written about it, also has a multiple bell artwork arranged of various bells on a vertical collumn. Well groomed grass and grounds, bathroom available.
Its nice to hang around there youre able to picnic there every Sunday they have Emil during dinner time and they give clothes giveaways. Theyre right now building a new ice rink for the Winterfest.
Love this park, just hate that its roped off
This is a really nice place. There are some old trains there which they should do more stuff like this there. A nice place to hang out.
A little snowy so cant really enjoy the parks.
Got ticketed for camping because I have a backpack in the park. Park used to be overrun with meth, but isnt a terrible place aside from overzealous police.
Good parking (75¢ per hour meters) for events at the Antlers and access to the Pikes Peak Community College downtown campus. Meters take change and credit card. The park itself has a lot of homeless people on a regular basis. Not a place I would take my kids or hang out as a lone female.
Do something about the homeless crowd here. Would be a nice park....
They no longer have the locomotive displayed in the park and they do service the homeless crowd during certain times in the day( Which I think is great if you go in there to help or youre taking your children there to teach Im certain lessons and life). I believed its mostly meal services they do there for the homeless. It does not feel like a park like atmosphere period from my understanding they will be closing the park soon in order to make way for new construction. Im not exactly sure when thats gonna be happening though. Also if youre there with you kids I would not allow them to go to the restroom by themselves listen the restroom one time and found needles in the restroom was pretty disgusting.
It is a cute and simple park. Well kept but sometimes safety is a concern. I feel comfortable enough here but I wouldnt visit with small children.
Its a great place to go I like it there kid-friendly and in the summer time you get a chance to have your kids running to the water sprinklers
This park is directly across the street from Pikes Peak Community College and is known for a lot of the homeless people to hang out in during the day so they can sleep a bit during the day.
I enjoy the park and the passerbys. I go for class at PPCC so parking is nice and close to the building. Ive never had a bad experience and Im a native.
Too many homeless people are there but I cant really say anything Im homeless too but I dont hang out in the park every day.
Well kept and clean plus their are lots if squirrels sp perfect place to take dogs only 4 stars cause way to much homeless around like junky looking fools so wouldnt stop here if your a single girl or one of them tiny guys that cant defend themself lol.
Quiet & dark.
Fist off....wooooowwwww, this park is by far the best in the springs. If your lilke bums and tweakers well its your dream. Cant wait to come back and play with my family bc its s[oooooooooo
Serving the homeless a home cooked meal, great weather.
Resting place for OUR COS HOBOS...
Alot of homeless
Nope nope nopeville. Filled with homeless, trash, human waste and drunk angry people. Definitely not a good park at all. You must never go there, Simba.
A nice place for a quick stroll or for a minute away from the daily grind, notable for the local Depot across the street and the Antler Hotel adjacent from the park; however, the restrooms are closed and the porttacan can be super gross.
Never a dull moment and great people...
Neat place
Its very nicely maintained but like every public park in colorado the bathrooms are always locked day or night so plan accordingly with kids!
A lot of homeless people leave there trash laying everywhere its very disappointing to see
Beautiful little park. No restrooms. Just a great place to rest and have fellowship.
Not to many people
The park is small, but open, clean with lots of trees. There was a homeless person sleeping against the wall with all their stuff. Its behind Antlers Hotel, and in front of Pikes Peak Community College main entrance.
Assistance in subsidence when youre home free I just dumb
Daytime its a good place to smoke up and take a nap. At night stay away. Local homeless hangout.
Crawling with filthy homeless people. Sleeping all throughout the park, smoking pot and throwing trash everywhere.
Very nice resting Park to go to. If you can work yourself around the cops because of the homeless people down there.
Since they took the train there isnt much to the park anymore. And it has become over run with some of the worst homeless out there.
This is a homeless hangout, they give away food and drink to the homeless here and I have been harrassed here more than once while walking to the parking garage and witnessed violence in the park.
Well you would think because the park has connections to the antlers Hotel that would be a nice place, theres a lot of homeless and a lot of Riff Raff, and a lot of drugs in and out and a lot of shady hoodlumish people!
Big open grassy area beautiful lawn. The porta potties were too gross to use.
Feeding the Homeless with friends when I can. Like to be able to go more than I do.
Great place to chill when homeless. The library is right around the corner.
The city doesnt do much for the homeless so many gather here. There is grass and a gazebo. Could be a good place for band to rent.
Park located behind the Antlers hotel, across the street from the Pikes Peak Community College Downtown Campus. Has a pavilion, a few benches, a couple of historic markers, and frequently a whole lot of homeless folks. That and the fact that its off the beaten path and separated from the hustle and bustle from the rest of downtown makes it feel kind of sketchy sometimes.
Ive gotten good...There was clothes...The people....A squirrel...Those one things... Uh... Leaves..There were leaves...There...
Great experience for you to enjoy.
The park is not keeped. Stay away.
2nd Tuesday of every month a couple amazing charitys hand up food and clothing to the local homeless population its amazing
A lot of homeless which makes for a great ministry opertunity. All of the downtown parks are filled with homeless.
A great park for older people
Got so hi dont no whats up our down..
Beautiful area
At 8am on a Friday it was full of homeless people.
Great place.
Would be a much nicer place to enjoy if there were not so many homeless people lying around
Way too many hobos. It is not a nice park. The city needs to maintain their parks.
Its ok
Great park minus the homeless living in it most of the time, they left our group alone but still not fully pleasant
A de compress visual spaceWalk friendly and quiet zone
The Cannabis Patient Rights Coalition passes out food, clothing, and other necessities to the homeless at various city parks a few times a month. They will be handing out home cooked pasta meals around lunch time tomorrow.
Calm park but always over run with druggies
Great over all parking not so much great location to restaurants
Wild life. Doesnt get much better
Its a great Park to visit I recommend
Its a park. Its great place to take dogs or kids.
If you want to see the homeless having sex
The place is fabulous
Sadly, the locomotive is no longer in the park. The city has leased it to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.
Lost my phone, and found it 1 hour later
Too many homeless people
Peace
Nice place
Good place for picnic
Nice place to gather hard to find a place to park free
Clean an nice park
SCARY PARK FULL OF HOMELESS PPL.DONT GO! !
Its really bad
Holds a brief church service on Sundays followed by a dinner. Hold a donation of clothing each month
Dirty and had my backpack stolen
Beautiful park
Tables are always filthy, lived eaten on. City of CS fails at park-maintainance.
Pretty but too much garbage
Love it

Great place for street church on Sundays
