Tad and Cage Rats baseball is the best in Colorado Springs, hands down. Coaching was great and unlimited access to the facility and extra help from the coaches at no extra charge. A coach can only aide in making a child better, ultimately the child has to make himself better. Yes, Tad charges money, its a business, if you didnt like the cost you shouldnt have signed the contract! Tad thanks again for coaching my son!

What people have written on these reviews is absolutely true. Unethical business practices and integrity is certainly questionable. Stay far, far away. * This is not a spam technique. Our son has played and Tad is trying to debunk the review. He is not concerned about players, but very concerned about his bank account. Stay far, far away from this establishment. *

If I had a crystal ball I would have known long ago that this company is questionable. If I would have at least done a little research I would have found several claims that would have definitely coerced me to reconsider signing a contract with this place.I am here to be your crystal ball. If you sign here and have a dispute of ANY kind you can count on the owner being unethical. I signed a year contract for my 6 year old. He was put on an 8 year old team and after he was hit with the ball several times at bat during games, he was too scared to continue. He played 6 weeks. The owner and staff of this lousy operation offered me ZERO support with finding a solution. It would have been valid for the owner to change my contract to a season (approximately $1800) and not keep me locked in to a $3300 contract. I would have been fine paying $1800 for 6 weeks based on the act of god that occurred. Instead he claimed he would release me once he filled my son’s roster spot. Well, that never seemed to happen but the lies from this guy kept coming.Do not trust this company or give them the benefit of the doubt. I found out the hard way.

Poaching talent from other teams because they cannot develop their own players, placing kids on age-inappropriate teams and absolutely destroying their chances at succeeding all just to fill spots on the roster and make money, and generally running a shady business. There are plenty of better options for your kids in town, don’t give this place your money. You’ll end up regretting it. Also, don’t expect to be treated like an equal if you’re a woman. The owner doesn’t seem to respect women at all.

The assessment to determine if a child is ready for kid pitch baseball at the age of 6 or 7 is unrealistic at best. There should be a trial period allowed, because nine times out of ten if a child is hit hard with a ball, they get scared and dont want to play anymore. My grandson was hurt, and NOT ONE of the trainers worked with him, spoke to him or his parents to discuss options - NOTHING. This company is not about the kids, the achieving of baseball dreams; if they were reputable and honest there would be no issue with refunding or canceling the contract. It should be about the CHILD, not the CONTRACT - I believe all parents in this similar situation should consider a lawsuit against Tad and this disgusting excuse for an organization.

This guy cares WAY more about signing contracts and locking in your payment than he does about helping the kids, in my opinion. A friend of mine had a horrible experience with this business and I certainly would never sign up any of my kids to go there. Integrity is non existent with this dude.

Im not sure what others look for in a baseball training facility, but my son gets exactly what he needs here. The group training is fast-paced and places an emphasis on repeating good habits. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and takes a huge interest in my sons development. The baseball training, strength and conditioning training my son has received here is absolutely second to none. No training facility performs magic so if your son is not willing to put in the work he will not see the results. But if your son follows the program takes the staffs advice their game will grow by leaps and bounds.

As a customer I’m very happy to hear that some of you have had a great experience with Tad and his company, this means that your kid is able to perform for him without him (the owner) having to do much. However if you stop and think for two seconds about the possibility of your kid not being able to perform for ANY reason this guy does not care at all, but he will string you along the entire length of your contract!! I firmly believe that if your son were to break a leg, get in a car accident, get sick this guy will hold you to your contract because he believes these situations are your problem not his!Regardless of what was “said” in the beginning, our son at some point could not perform any longer and that became a big problem, not for Tad and his company but for a little boy who loved playing baseball who now never wants to play again because the last year his dad and I have had to deal with this ongoing complete nonsense. It’s easy to say that we are forcing people to leave one star negative reviews which is absolutely untrue, however the exact same thing can be said about you...(Tad) that the people leaving the five star reviews are more than likely your friends and family!!If Tad is so clear on his expectations then why when we came in to discuss our situation did he not just tell us too bad you’re stuck because you signed a contract, instead refusing to work with us and continued to seem very irritated that we were even coming in to discuss this matter with him. Full of BS. It would’ve been much easier on tad if we had just stopped payment so he could take us to court and try to get even more money out of us, (like Tad has done with others) but when we give our word that’s it and we have paid the entire year as of July 1, 2019.Just so anyone reading these reviews knows the only thing we asked of Tad was to either help support our son in the situation (which he refused to do) or to fairly on both sides be released from this contract. By the way a contract is one-sided it is not for both sides and he’s very into his contracts! I’m sure you are going to respond making up Lies about how we refused to bring our son in (which is also BS) we have done everything that we are supposed to do as parents trying to protect our son and our rights and I just hope that we can help some other parents stop and think before they make any decision with this company!

CageRat Baseball is the best baseball organization in the Springs. We moved to CageRats 2 years ago from another organization and its been everything they said it would be. We came in for a free training session and signed on 2 days later. It was that much better. Since then, my kid has been practicing at the facility 2-3 nights a week and cant get enough. He has practiced, improved and had more fun in 4 months than the previous 12 months at other clubs. The youth baseball program is great. The kids practice and compete on a daily basis. The program stresses fundamentals and development of baseball but also makes it fun and competitive. The instructors are great, they teach to the level of each kid.

I wish I could rate negative stars on this one. We had a really terrible experience with this place. Whatever you do, do not give access to your bank account, protect yourself!

Great program with fantastic coaching. Our son has gained so much over these last 2 years. During this period, his bat exit velocity has gone up 21mph and throwing velocity has gone up 18 mph - he also took off 2 seconds on his 60 time.. can’t wait to see what the next 2-3 years brings him...

My 9 year old son has been working with the coaches at the Farm for about 9 months now. We’ve seen significant improvements in not just his baseball skills and agility, but also in his confidence and application of these skills. We’ve run the gamut in this town between little leagues, and other travel baseball teams. With the core goals of this program, coaching, and measurable improvements and successes in my son, we can confidently say we’ve found our baseball family.

My 10 year old son has been going to cage rats for the past 6 months. During that time his throwing his dramatically improved in both speed and accuracy. His hitting has become phenomenal . He is now hitting line drives with consistency last year he could hit to the fences now he hits over the fences.

We just moved here from Illinois in July and we were nervous about what programs we could find for our son. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly impressed with the facility. Tad took a lot of his time talking with us and answering all of our questions. This is an amazing program. We have already seen improvement of our sons skills. We highly recommend CageRats!

The owner of this organization is only about the money. He accused my son of stealing a hat that my son picked up and took home thinking it was his. He then refused to let my son play until the hat was paid for even though we returned it. This was after months of disagreements about his ineffectiveness for training any boys younger than high school. He makes promises to get your money but doesnt deliver and then by his accusation about my son, shows he doesnt care about the boys either.

Our experience at CageRats has proven to be beyond what our expectations were going in five months ago. Tad has a training program which no others in the Springs can touch. Great training and great interactive instructors. The boys learn and compete with one another every time they are training at The Farm. In the first few weeks of training our nine year old son learned more, and had more fun, then he did from 12 months at other facilites here in the Springs. He is now competing at a higher level and understanding the game of baseball, teamwork, and the importance of putting in the work necessary to play at a high competitive level. I put my five year old son in the training program at the Farm now and I cannot get either one of them out of the facility. They love it that much. One thing we were looking for in a facility, besides a place that will teach our kids the proper fundamentals of baseball and instill in our kids the importance of working to get better, was a place we could play at long term and with excellent college contacts. CagRats has an excellent network of Division 1 college contacts. Just look at their website to see their track record. We have found a home for our three boys at CagRats. If you are looking for a facility for your son to play and train at the highest level around, I would highly recommend checking out CageRats.
