Wonderful little store! Lots of experienced artists working there to guide you around and a very nice and wide selection of good brand art supplies.

This is one of my favorite places in colorado springs and denver they have almost every brand and they have told me if they dont have it they can order. They are are always kind and answer all my questions

Always a pleasure to shop at Meiningers. The staff are always helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. The store is clean, organized, and has a wide variety of supplies. Even the customers are friendly. I do not get the opportunity to shop there frequently, but I do make it my priority store for whenever I do need any kind of art supplies.

This place has everything you need to, paint, ink, draw with pens pencil color or graphite.The people are great.

This location, while smaller, has a fantastic customer experience. The Denver store is better as far as selection, but I was blown away by the amount of supplies at this location.The amount of help was great as well. Have never had a bad experience at this location. Mad props guys. Keep it up!

After reading some of the negative reviews, decided to take a chance and visit the Colorado Springs store. The customer service was exceptional, at least 3 people asked to help me and checked back to make sure I was finding everything. All my questions were answered. Although this store doesn’t carry alot of bookbinding supplies, I was able to find several needed items. Will definitely return!

We had purchased painting supplies at Michaels the night before, but they didnt have everything that we needed. Meiningers had everything and it was 30% cheaper. Definitely wish that we had gone here first. Highly recommend, especially when you consider how helpful their staff is.

Wonderful little art supply shop with very friendly and knowledgable staff. As an artist/illustrator this has been my my one stop shop for for nearly 12 years, for hard to find art/obscure supplies. They have a plethora of product variety for artists of all kinds and continually update their stock with new products. I highly recommend this store, as its the only one of its kind in the area as currently the only other H.R. Meininger location is in Denver.If youre familiar with art, then you know that supplies arent known to be cheap, so prices vary depending on the supplies youre looking for but for the most part they stay in line with other similar retailers in their pricing and sometimes its even lower.If I had to give any feedback, its that I wish this location was much larger to accomidate and expand even more on their selection. Otherwise amazing shop!

The store has a neat and humble atmosphere. They have a good section of supplies and its easy to navigate through. Thats the good.The reason for a 3 star. I usually only go there reluctantly. The staff are friendly once you get to the counter but not that knowable and never have I been there has anyone helped us on the floor on their own. Its way too expensive for things you can get online usually. But its the only art specific store around, so I guess they can get away with a lot because of convenience.

This is our go to location for high quality art supplies. My son is an artist and he always wants to get the best supplies. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Their inventory is always stocked full and they have cool things all the time that surprise us! It’s a fun experience to shop here.

Fantastic experience today! Looked high and low at 3 different “craft/art” stores in the Springs area today for 4 or 6ply matboards. Was very discouraged. Other stores didn’t even know the difference between 2 & 4ply, looked at me like I was crazy.Made the trip downtown, to Meininger’s and was greeted with awesome/friendly and knowledgeable service. Had a great selection of exactly what I needed. Sales rep even let me look behind the counter with her! Should have just started here! I’ve shopped at the Denver and Boulder stores plenty of times, but today was hands down the best shopping experience I’ve had! Cannot thank you enough!

Love the selection, and I know its supporting small business....but some of the products are over priced.

Usually I have a great experience at this store, lately though the staff has been extremely rude to me. Tonight as I entered the store, Terry (one of the workers) Approached me before I had a chance to look at anything, and informed me that they were asking all guests to place purses behind the counter. I agreed with no hesitation, even though I saw other customers that didn’t have to follow this rule. I was completely humiliated, and when I realized she was profiling me, and singled me out, I rushed out of the store. My intentions were to make a large purchase for a project I am doing. After she singled me out and profiled me by my appearance, I decided that I should spend my money elsewhere. I give this place 1 star strictly because of her.

Wide selection of products and amazing customer service. The staff know their products. I saw a customer ask about the quality of a product and they tested the product for him so he could see if he wanted it or not. Amazing service in my book. Friendly, kind. The products may be a bit hard to find (grouping is a bit weird) but you can always ask and they will take you directly to the area of the shop.

Great product and staff. Only issue is some products seem overpriced compared to other places. The staff do seem to understand, and will help you find alternatives.

We love this place. So much creativeness and cool stuff. My wife is getting into lettering and found more than adequate supplies here. The staff is really friendly and helpful. 5 stars for sure!

Its okay. They have lots of art supplies that I need their prices are list prices for the most part. I go there because I know theyll have what I need.

I used to love going to their Denver store, with my grandparents, when I was a kiddo. I just love art supplies, and have always felt more at ease, surrounded by the sights and smells that I associate with both them and activities I enjoy quite a bit. The prices could be worse (believe me, Ive seen it) but they could be much better. I was slightly upset at this visit. Although, the staff didnt ever vocalize their assumption that I was there to pocket items, their actions did little to indicate anything else. Thank goodness, I wasnt stalked through the store. I would have been highly upset, had I been. Nonetheless, I was slightly offended by their negative judgement passed against me. Aside from this, their selection was amazing, like usual. And the staff was knowledgeable, and provided helpful information concerning a medium I have very little experience with.

Excellent art supply store with all the necessities (and then some) for the most novice to expert of artists. Peruse through the store and notice the variety of mediums available to experiment with, all at different price points.Additionally, the staff is extremely helpful and will either point you in the right direction or render one of their services to you (paper cutting, etc.).Great location with plenty of parking, exterior of store gives off an artsy vibe when driving past. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get into ore are into various art forms.

Everything any artist needs! The prices are great. Staff are kind and helpful and most importantly its locally owned so I prefer to go here before checking out any other craft stores in town!

Great high quality arts and craft supplies. My artist daughters favorite place to shop for Copic markers and different paper. Little pricey, but better quality than the chain craft stores. We have been customers for years and probably for years to come.

Large, diverse supply of all different types of art styles and mediums. Havent gotten too much from here, but what I have gotten was cheaper than any other store. Helpful staff. So far; my one stop shop for all my art supplies, except tattoo ink and needles lol

This place is cool because its a small at shop, but their prices are way higher than the box stores. Some items that you cant find elsewhere though, like a full line of Golden brand acrylic resins. So, its all good. I usually only go there if Im already downtown.

I LOVE this store. Its dangerous because I will go broke here they have both lower quality and higher quality materials. Even some cute craft stuff for kids at the front of the store. Lots of options, so far Ive bought copic markers, drawing paper, pens, oil paints, gamblin linseed oil, gel pens, and paint brushes here and have yet to be disappointed with any of it. Im glad I have somewhere local I can shop for good art supplies

In the colorado springs store : Dexter was very complimentary, to a beginning water colorist. we have been to Meiningers numerous times and he has been very kind and helpful every time. he also seems to be very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction.

Best mom and pop art supply store in The Springs. Actually I think they are the only ones left that sell items that you cant find in the big box chains.

They have most anything you could want in art supplies. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I prefer to support a local company rather than a big box store like Hobby Lobby orMichaels.

Love this store! So many fun supplies for different arts.

Very wide selection of art products including many which were new to me. I found it quite easy to get lost in this store for hours and hours if you are into art or drawing, painting, sculpting, architecture, engineering diagrams... etc. The only downside is the prices are quite a bit higher than online or larger chain stores... but that’s to be expected and I have found that some speciality products are worth the extra money to be able to see certain colors and such in person... a computer screen really can’t render them properly or do them the justice they deserve.

Has a LOT of options for art supplies, before going online stop in!I always prefer in store art purchases for in case you have to make returns, i dont want to return it by mail.Dont forget to go downstairs to check all the canvas materials and the easels. But you cant take anything down with you! That way you cant steal

As someone who looks like they have no business in an arts and crafts store. The employees had no prejudice. They treated me like a regular. Will definitely be buying all my supplies from there.

When you have a creative idea that you want to make happen, get your materials here. They will be slightly more expensive than the big box store is for similar supplies, but what you get in return more than makes up for it. The associates who work there will answer question, point you in the right directions, make sure you are getting the supplies you need to be successful or offer a different route. The results are that you dont buy things you dont need and product has a far better chance of coming out how you want it.

Good selection however the staff and manager were unpleasant. Came in with questions about different styles of paint and what not and they were rude and made me feel bad about not knowing. Just trying to learn more about painting and they turned me off slightly to it.

My go to place for specialty and pro art supplies. It’s fun to look around at all the unique items. All the staff is very informative, kind and helpful.

Nice store. We spent quite a bit of time and a couple of hundred dollars our first visit. The second time we went in there one of the employees asked for my wife to put her purse behind the counter after already being in the store for bit. Weird considering we didn’t do that our first visit the day prior. Silly policy for theft prevention especially when it isn’t enforced all of the time. We were planning to spend a lot again but decided to leave instead. I don’t think we will be returning. I can purchase all of this product online for cheaper and not have to hand over a thousand dollar purse. This company should take a course on risk mitigation strategies that don’t involve customers handing over their personal belongings.

Really cool and quaint little art store located Downtown. Google says that there prices are $$$$, but I think their prices are better than Michaels. Plus there is way more of a selection of art materials than Michaels. I highly recommend you check it out.

Shopped here many times over 20yrs. Superior goods and selections. Quiet and relaxing store. Expensive, but the selections are top quality. Staff are ok, but nothing to rave about. My 5 stars are for quality of goods in the store.

Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and their selection and price are great. Honestly, its surprising how much theyve crammed into that little store. Their drawing tools and illustration media are great. I was so happy to find somewhere that sold crow quill holders and nibs after searching Michaels and Hobby Lobby (which are nothing but disappointing on a constant basis).Their selection of Micron Pens was impressive. Ill keep going back here and want to find some time to eventually stop by and pick up some illustration board. Their prices on just about all of their illustration media was MUCH lower than either chain store I visited.
