I was at this park with my wife and son last weekend and I had a feeling like it was almost abandoned. We did see horses and that was all of it.Pretty much everything else is covered, closed and empty. Also you can notice that it wasnt even maintained last several months.I mean the place is great and has a lot of space, but someones has to do something before it starts falling apart.Hopefully next time we go, it will be different.

This huge park is split in two by Sample Road. The south side is the more popular side with disc golf, covered picnic shelters for rent, walking trails through wooded fields, open grills for picnicking, and open areas along bodies of water. This is my favorite local park.

It was a great experience, the grandchildren loved the different light themes. I strongly recommend.

No one there to guide us but we made it fun, hot as hell tho.

They could have done way more with the Christmas lights I have seen more Christmas lights going down a block that has participated in a Christmas light show! Not worth the 20 bucks find a neighborhood thats participating youll have a better time.

What a beautiful park. My husband and I go here on Sundays to sit and watch the horses. Whoever maintains the park does such a great job. I hope they know the community appreciates it!

My wife and I are frequent visitors. The park has a variety of fun features and is pretty big, well kept and very pleasant. Its generally busy enough to feel safe but too busy to feel crowded. Tradewinds Park is a treasure. Please help keep it clean and enjoy!

This park is absolutely amazing for kids. They have a train ride for the family. Ponies and horses to ride. As well as a farm with different animals and a butterfly museum. This is an amazing place to have fun with the family

Lovely and expansive park! From lakeside spots to tree shaded picnic areas to clean sports fields to horseback riding and even train rides, theres something for everyone. Ive also enjoyed Butterfly World and the Holiday Fantasy of Lights at the park.

My fiancé and I went here September 27, 2020. I had to write a review because we had a great time!! We have been looking to do something different especially with the limited activities during the pandemic and this place came through. Everyone working at the stable was very nice and helpful. Getting set up on the horses was very easy. The instructions were simple and to the point. The trail ride was awesome and exactly what we wanted (not simply out in the open but went through trails in the woods.) The tour guide was very nice. Everyone at the stable seemed so happy we were there to support the horses and take them out for a ride. Afterwards, the staff helped us take pictures of us while on the horse. Overall a great experience. You will not be disappointed if you are just looking to get out and do something different. I gave a tip afterwards for the staff but they told me the tips are donations that only go towards care for the horses (I thought that was very nice). Thank you for the fun time Tank and Arty.

There is also a general store where you can buy refreshments and souvenirs.Pony rides go from 11am - 3:30pm Saturdays and Sundays and certain holidays and it costs 3.00 dollars per ride.

Great park w/ horses across the way. A nice size playground. Also, plenty of trails but.....waaaay too many ant-hills/ants allowed to prosper during the shut-down. My kiddo had 3 bites and I am actually a parent whom observes their kid..

My favorite part of living in the township is being a bike ride away from this park.

Tradewinds Park is a Broward County run property and is home to Butterfly World. The park spans across Sample road with the North park being home to a horse stable, small farm, the Tradewinds and Atlantic Railroad, general store, Christmas Light show, and a playground. The South Park houses Butterly World, sports fields, gazebos and another playground. There is a small nominal entrance fee to the park and includes both sides. Reservations are required for the gazebos and grills are limited.

I went horseback riding. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The trail is long and shaded and just such a great relaxing place.

I love the natural beauty of this park. The city keeps the upkeep so well preserved!! I love watching the wildlife and the horses too!

Nice place for an affordable intro ride to horses. One hour rides by knowledgeable staff. Dont plan on running, this is for first timers on the trail. Full pony ride section for little ones and petting zoo. They dont break the bank either. An affordable day for a family and something for everyone.

I ran a 5k there the other day with Greater Ft Lauderdale Running Group and it was great scenery, very bug park.

Loved this place, there is lakes, lot of animals to photograph, found armadillos, birds, yellow crowned night herons, egrets, squirrels, horses, butterflies and more! Def bring comfy shoes, snack and sun screen great for a picnic, walk, activities etc

My favorite park!! Huge area for relaxing time with the Family, they also have poney and Horses riding, playground ls BBQ area and Huge Shelters.

We through our daughters second birthday party here. Though we did have a nice time, we would never go back here. The lady that drives around on the golf cart is beyond rude and kept zooming by to bark at us for some reason or another. We had MAYBE 20 people there, 3 toddlers and were only there for about 4 hours (setting up and clean up included). We cleaned up entirely, kept it quiet, and followed all rules. This woman was nasty and enough to prevent us from any further engagements in tha park nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

The park has many activities for children. This is the railway with small trains and trips of young children on a pony and a farm with petting zoo. The park is not new and needs new tables and benches, but is still beautiful.

Christmas lights were amaizing. Great value for a seasonal family event. You can go as fast or slow as you wish as there are 2 lanes. This is great for kids and I just left the car roll on drive with no gas so it took us about 45 minutes to an hour to see all the lights with short stops at our favorites. The staff is very friendly and carry on the holidays spirit.

Trade winds park is a very beautiful place. Theyre are so many wonderful activities to do! It also includes butterfly world and some spectacular Christmas lights! Many sports games are held here. Its a great place to enjoy some outdoor fun!

I took my daughters for their 11th birthday to ride horses on a guided trail ride. Our 3 horses were beautiful, well trained, and tame. The guided ride lasted an hour and meandered through shaded nature trails. The trip was very relaxing and we will do it again.

Good fun, kids liked it. Hope the light show gets some improvement.. but honest good try.

Tradewinds is one of my favorite week day parks to go for a long walk after work along the lake. It it always clean and kept immaculate. Its also always fairly busy with disc golfers, walkers, joggers and cyclists, so I never feel nervous about safety. Women exercising on their own know how important that is.The annual Festival of Lights is a yearly Christmas night Tradition for mom and I. They do a great job! You can see lots of hard work goes into it, and there are always new ones to look forward to every year. In 2016 it was $15 per car, and $3 for 3d glasses. Try a slow drive with your car lights off - the lights are way better that way, and you dont shine your lights into the car in front of you and ruin it for them.

Very nice park it part of butterflies world

Located right off turnpike exit and sample RdThis park has been around since my youth soccer days. I know there is a butterfly attraction for park guests to visit. This site holds several events groups that host youth soccer tournaments. on the Alot to hold soccer events with other sports doing the same. Tradewinds is one of many nice parks of Broward county. Definitely a kid friendly location where one can enjoy time with family and friends. Be prepared to be charged $1.50 to enter on days events held or may be just on weekends.

We went there for holidays fantasy of light 2018, and it was a great idea, is short but we share as a family while driving around the park.

The ladys at the stable are very nice! My husband and I had the opportunity to ride in the rain!

Tight turns! This course is VERY challenging and only the BEST riders should attempt this death defying race!

I had a magical time at this holiday light show. I even went on a Ferris wheel ride!

The stables and stuff are cool. The playground has sand for a part of the play area so just be prepared for that.

Great spot to bring family and friends for any occasion. They have a wonderful field for baseball or softball and they have great activities for everyone from the butterfly garden to disk golf. You should really try it.

Really high price for winds, A lot of sauce so i didnt taste the wings only the sauce. Egg roll was very good along with the fried okra. Very clean spot and nice service.

Its a nice place, but nothing spectacular and the price ($17) is pretty hefty for what you get.Not worth it, in my opinion.

Nice place. It has two sides, and you dont really know where to go on your first visit because the signs are all catered to people leaving. The pony ride thing was reasonably priced and okay, but I would find a different place to do a trail ride. I must say, $30 to see some butterflies is absurd. Playground is decent, so my kids were entertained.

I take my son there every Friday for his volunteer work at Equine Assisted Therapy. While there, I go for walks or do work on the laptop. We once went on a trail ride on horseback. It was quite reasonably priced. Dont care much for the Christmas light show. A bit kitschy for my taste.

I love this park especially during the holiday season because of the light show that goes on my wife and kids love it. I also like how they always get the community evolved and host many various events at this park I always enjoy bringing my family here.

Lovely park across from Butterfly world. Large area for picnics, bbq, horses. You can ride a horse for an hour and a half for about $35. The guide takes you and the rest of the riders through narrow trails. Great first horseback riding experience. I believe there are 3 sessions throughout most days, but their website has all the information.

My granddaughter attends Junior Farmers Camp here which just finished for this summer but she will be back next summer. What a wonderful hidden gem for a summer place for children. Melany loves it here and the folks that run the camp are pleasant and always smiling you can tell they enjoy being there and it rubs off on the children. They have horses, goats, pigs and chickens the children learn to care for, bath and ride. What a great experience we love Tradewinds Junior Farmers Camp!

This a very beautiful and well maintained park. The horses are a definate plus as well as the butterflies.

Its a beautiful park, on one side you have the butterfly world, something to take your kis to an on the other side you can take your kids and friends for a horse back ride.
