Free Museum dedicated to the preservation of the history of women in aviation and space and the documentation of their continuing contributions today and in the future.

So I didnt really know what to expect before visiting here, but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. This museum is located in a small (basically deserted on a Sunday) airport near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is out in the open in the airport (only the gift shop is in an actual room). While the space displays were interesting, the items for the women pioneers in air flight were awesome. Their stories are inspiring and some are heartbreaking. Highly recommend.

Nice little free Museum to spend some time. We spent an hour here reading the displays. Could spend less time if you just look at things and moved on.

I want to rate this place highly so much. I did learn things, but the exhibition is old and maintenance is not the best. The overly concerned security guards dont help either. This museum is really important and needed, its just not great. Id have loved to learn more about the women piloting commercial planes, designing our missions, and about their challenges.I also would have loved to donate or buy merch, but on a Saturday, no one was there to help me.Still, its free, its interesting, and Im glad I went.

This place is Free! And so full of history and interactive exhibits. I love that there is a lot of info if your that type of person and little snippets thrown in the the person who is not a reader. There is hands on stuff for kids and adults. And a Rosie the Riveter cut out for your picture! Also an astronaut cutout too. Highly recommend. There also appears to be an option for a lunch and tour if you are so inclined. But you have to call 2 weeks on advance to have this guided tour.

Awesome museum! Theres a lot of information and some interactive exhibits for kids. Learned a few interesting facts. The gift shop is half office half shop; they have posters for sale of planes and other cool space objects. Trophies are on display that some women have won during air competitions

We took summer camp children ages 5-7. It was alittle too old for that age group but miss Katie was very good with the children. They made paper airplanes and helicopters. The children enjoyed those activities.

Nothing really identifies this museum from the outside, BUT this is definitely worth a stop. We visited on a day when the gift shop was closed, but seeing all of the interesting exhibits, and learning about the amazing women who have contributed to flight and exploration over the years.

Women.....without em we would be nothing. Literally. They not only give us life, but they have and continue to contribute so much to this world! This museum helps highlight the amazing things women have done in the aerospace realm.A small and cozy museum filled with some amazing facts and artifacts. Everyone always wants to go to the large and well-known museums. Dont get me wrong, they rock. But, small museums like this one is where it is at!Free to the public, it is inside the Burke Lakefront Airport. You literally just walk right into this museum. The staff here is absolutely amazing and will answer any questions you have with a smile and lots of information. I had the pleasure of experiencing this museum first at a Yelp Elite event....but have been back several times since for a few public events. Not only do you get to learn a lot about women in aerospace, you can watch the planes take off from the airport. Really, a great experience overall! Take your kids for a few hours and learn more about amazing women in history!

This plucky little lakeside gem is well worth a visit. Chock full of interesting tidbits about (sadly) lesser known women aviators it will not fail to enlighten you. The staff is clearly excited about their work and will happily share stories about their favorite pilots.

I gave it a four star rating because I really want it to be better. Its great that it exists and some of the exhibit items are great, but it should be bigger! There are so many women who were/are important to aviation and space flight. This little museum is a good start but needs more funding.

The museum is relatively small, but is free, and very informative and inspiring. The stories of these ladies deserve to be told! The exhibits are fascinating and theyve done what they can with the small space they have. I gave it four stars because I know theres room to grow and I really hope this museum does!

Im sure the organisers put a lot of effort into it, but it looks like the museum was added as an afterthought oh, we should have a museum about women in aerospace - would be nice to have a bigger museum. It is nice to visit if you are passing by, but not worth going there specifically for the museum.
