My mothers maiden name is Bonfoey (Renee M. Bonfoey-Jacquemain) and I was surprised to find this gallery which uses the exact spelling ( family iriginal Fr. name BonFoi good faith. When My ancestors arrived in America they, like so many immigrants altered the spelling of their family name to aid proper pronunciation in the native English language. They didnt realize the addition of the e would actually cause many to pronounce name bon foy ee later in the 20th Cent. People often pronounced it bon foo ee and my mother often had people adk if she were Asian. The best framer in the business. They are the easiest to work with, great product knowledge, and most of local and support local artists.Can’t say enough about the job they do.

Mary did a super job reproducing my great, great grandfathers old photographic portrait from the 1870s. She took several pictures of it as she asked me to tilt it forward to reduce glare. She corrected the physical problems in the portrait as well as lightened it in color as well as black and white versions, also. There is even a larger rejuvenated version I can have blown up for portrait framing. I am so pleased to have this restored as I did not know if it was even possible to shoot through glass and do the restoration without scanning it in an imaging machine. This old portrait could not have been removed from the old wooden frame, because it was so fragile as to make it impossible to do in an imaging machine. I would recommend Mary and Bonfoey Gallery to anyone seeking high quality, professional work. Thank you so much for making my great, great grandfathers portrait a family heirloom that will be available to many, many future generations of my family.

The Bonfoey Gallery is over 100 years old and their experience and sophistication shows! The owner, director, and entire staff are wonderfully knowledgeable and hard working. Definitely worth a stop for a Cleveland visitor. All the art is museum quality.
