Kings Ridge Golf Club

I have lived in Kings Ridge by the 6th green for11 years. Have played golf on the Kings Course for 20 years. 20 years ago this was a 5 star golf course. Today it is not a golf course to be proud of as is the par 3 Executive Course. The course appears to be busy most of the time. Issues are greens in poor shape, many dead trees and large limbs not being removed, many areas of dead grass by the raised tee offs, fairways need more attention, and areas surrounding greens with raised area— dead grass noted. Can anyone explain why this has happened to 2 beautiful courses?

I liked this course. Its challenging, yet somewhat forgiving. But truth be told, I only gave it a 4, because I wasnt a fan of the tee boxes. They need some work. Maybe significant work. Its the only shot in my round I can actually control the layout and there werent many flat areas to hit from on this courses tee areas. That was disappointing. But not enough to sour my thoughts about the place. Id certainly play it again.

Had a great Saturday morning on my favorite exec course! Closest Ive come to home in one yet! Lesson learned purple not a good color for golf balls! Lol

Today my husband and I played the executive course at Kings Ridge and I have to say we were extremely disappointed. Leave your putter at home, the greens are so bumpy and full of crab grass that theres really no point. This was a truly frustrating course due to the condition and I dont see myself ever coming back to it. Honestly I wish we hadnt wasted the money...

Great little course! Have shyd away from playing this course for awhile, as years ago when I played last it was in very poor condition! Was pleasantly surprised last week when our weekly group scheduled in.The fairways were in great shape, greens in good condition, although kind of inconsistent..... One green would be a little quick then the next one would not be. But seemed to roll pretty true. Nice elevation changes and fun layout. A lot of trees but they are on the sides of decently wide fairways. Will go back!

Nice course. Glad we played it.Could use a super who knows how to to remove the unruly grasses like goose grass.Hope someone regains control of the unwanted turfgrasses and can bring the wanted turfgrasses back through proper chemical applications.

I visit this course any time I am visiting from Canada, it is very forgiving and well maintained. Have not tried a hot dog on this course yet, I will have to when I can go to Florida again, hopefully before it gets cold.

Played the smaller course. Short but really a fun little course. Love the elevation on some of the holes (looking at you 18!)

Great place to get a few strokes. Kids class is perfect for beginners.

The Par 3 course is in pretty rough shape, it seemed neglected. Even the signs on many holes are faded and falling apart. This place used to be so much nicer but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Course very nice, hospitality terrible. Booked 4some tee time for 2:12. Was not told about 6 PM cart curfew at the time of booking. Play was very slow, we had 3 holes to go when the fellow who checked us in came out and told us to get off the course. We had plenty of daylight left to finish. There were other groups shoed off the course as well. He offered no flexibility; he told us the sign is posted. He was angry when we asked to finish. No other course Ive ever played forces you off the course before youre finished with daylight left. Members suggested we talk to the course Management. At check in, the same fellow did not direct us to where the carts were, where the first hole was, etc. We had to ask others. Clearly, hes not a people person and not interested in making people feel welcome. Very disappointing. Felt cheated. Had planned to bring a large group there but that will not happen.

Great course I played the ridge course while being chased by a big storm. Course was very good. I loved the holes except on hole 18 I managed to lose 6 balls.... hole in one any one?

Booked a tee time on line for Monday 1/27/20. When we arrived and paid they told us to go to 10 because they were working on the front nine. When we got to 10 they had a scramble group playing, We waited and before you know it here were 5 foursomes waiting. Extremely poor course management. Wont golf there again. The work was planned pest control. So, why take reservations if you know you cant get the people on the course? They did refunded our money but it was to late to find another course for this day.

Nice golf course. But were chased off golf course at 5:45 pm telling us that there is a golf cart curfew at 6:00 . We had 3 holes to play with plenty of day light. Very upsetting!!

Greens werent good. I asked why their greens werent good like they used to be also the guys keep mowing while we were getting ready to hit which is not good when you are trying to concentrate. Not the best day for the price.

Very disappointed on our recent visit. The greens are in horrible condition! The rest of the course was in good condition.

Loved the golf course..5 different trees.. pick your difficulty..shot a 78 from the old guys gold tees..got to love course..lol

So the actual course that winds through the subdivision was great...but the hidden Gem is the Ridge course you drive about 5 minutes into the subdivision. HILLS!! amazing, winding, challenging and why has nobody noted this is one of the highest elevations in the State! Beautiful! Hole 18 is mind blowing... seriously.

A challenging course that winds its way through an established neighborhood. The driving range, putting green and first tee are awkwardly located in relation to the clubhose, but once you have been there you know your way around. There are some nice elevation changes as you make your way around the layout where no fairways run parallel. The green feed were reasonably priced, and we played there multiple times.

Definitely one course to “leave off your bucket list”. They hit you bait and switch on cost ...Tee boxes are choppy and uneven, cart paths are Kidney busters and some Greens chopped up sand mix. Surely all (4) and (5) star ratings are from employees. Very disappointing !!!!!

Outstanding! Truly pristine, clean, well designed and challenging. The price is right for the quality of the course. I was not impressed with the food or service at the clubhouse, but thats another review. I recommend this course

Very nice course located in Clearmont FL. Hilly course with interesting layout. Driving range, club house, bathrooms on the course with water coolers spread out between holes. Do not try and follow GPS to get you there... took me to every entrance except the one that was for the public. Take 27 and you will see the signage. Turn in and check in at the guard shack.

We love the course. Starters are great as well as cart people. However the proshop personnel could learn there are certain ways to say things. We went in to play 9 holes as it was very windy. The person said with authority we dont have nine holes. So I said we are new this year and we did nine holes before. His reply is we dont. He could have simply said gee we dont allow nine holes now it is only seasonal. It will begin again in March. Thats all just be a little more friendly.

Course is in okay shape, the gentleman that check us in was not very friendly and did some bad mouthing about our group!!! we were told that everything is in great shape Wrong the greens were full of sand and they had just punch them a few days earlier charged us $37.00 each which should of been like $25.00 a player . Very hard on you if you want a single golf cart, even if you drove there by yourself!! Good Luck !!

Greens Good. Little slow but smooth. Fairways are fair. Very Good value.

Played with 7 friends today and had a great time. Course was in good condition, staff was excellent and decided we’re going back tomorrow. Price was better than most and provided a better product. Challenging holes in great condition. Thank you:))

Kings Ridge is a beautiful course. Not overly difficult and inexpensive. The only problem I have is location, Clermont Florida is an hour from downtown Orlando with significant traffic and toll roads that require prepaid passes.The staff is extremely friendly.

My Daughter purchased a green gift card for my birthday and I still have a balance on card and was told that the green gift card is no longer accepted at the golf course. It is my understanding that gift cards do not expire. I would suggest asking some questions if you are planning to purchase gift cards from Kings Ridge

Not so good as they are without a golf course now. Such a shame and I feel for the home owners and golfers.

Played an early 18 while on vacation in Clermont. Was paired with two other gentlemen. Course was in nice shape. As expected for the price. Weather was nice and the course was nice too. Challenging and nice layout. Will play again when in the area.

Love the layout. Having said that lousy greens and rock hard conditions. Off the rotation.

My family and I were refused service after we had paid for our rounds of golf by the starter - Eddie. When we asked for a refund the manager refused and said that he Billy was not allowed to authorize a refund even though it was he who took our money to begin with. They said the boss Alfaz would be really upset if they refunded the money because they didnt make sure to follow the rules with regard to dress code. As it happens, our group has played there previously in the exact types of clothes and was allowed to play. There were two really nice people at the course - Nick and Patty who tried to help Billy make the right decision.

Awesome golf community! We moved to Kings Ridge and Im a new golfer, but Ive heard many folks say they are 2 great golf courses.

First time playing the course and I was very impressed. Greens were in great condion and held very well. Tees and fairways were in better shape than some of the resort courses I play. I enjoyed the rolling hills and friendly staff...will definitely be back. Didnt lose a single ball...no water hazards to worry about!

Very poorly maintained and incredibly rude staff. They turned the sprinklers on while we were on the 15th hole (an hour before closing) forcing us to stop early. Then proceeded to yell at us for driving on the (poorly maintained) fairway in order to try and not get wet from the sprinklers. I wouldn’t play here again even if it was free.And a little advice to the guy behind the counter, don’t yell at the older woman who works with you because she used “your” register. That doesn’t sit well with most people.

Greens were in pretty bad shape fairways and tees for very nice with winter rye. Interesting layout.

DO NOT LET THEM GET YOUR BUSINESS! One of the front desk staff (an old guy, wont go into details) was extremely rude and disrespectful toward me when I went there for a tee time a week or two ago. He also charged me an extra $15 over the normal rate (though I did not know at the time). He had a VERY rude tone and insulted me like a bully and was pleased with himself. (I was very polite when I walked in to get my tee time, so I am assuming its his personality).To add, when we went down to the hitting area, they had it on a steep hill! how do they expect people to hit? Also, the type of grass on the hitting area was terrible, and I have never seen it on any courses, also, it was like hitting on dirt. The course was not worth the price we paid (which was $15 over), the rough was also st. Augustine grass, so we took free drops into the fairway because no course should allow that.Hopefully, they will fire him, as his insults toward me were unacceptable. until then, I refuse to let them get my business and my friends.however, I have heard that the younger staff there were very nice, but nevertheless I will not let a business that hires a frankly, grumpy and disrespectful, old man receive my cash (not to mention the course wasnt too nice)

Course is in good shape for early May considering Fl. has been in a drought for 3 months. Wide fairways, playable greens, friendly staff, great price. A yearly stop each May.

Nice course. Short holes. Its great for beginners intermediate players to practice mid & short game.

Found the course in poor condition. Greens are slow and bumpy, fairways were sparse and being water mid day interfering with our play. (Forgivable given to condition of fairways) Golf carts are not allowed on the fairways at all and we were not advised of this prior to beginning play. Starter was extremely rude to the point of being ignorant to two seniors. Will not return!

The Ridges course is a part 3 course and is in terrible shape. The greens are horrible. The rough is in need of grooming. $20 was not bad for the condition. Kid at Ridge desk had no idea what he is doing. Didnt even know where hole 1 was. Havent tried kings course yet, but will try one day. Ridge course sucks.

Rude and inconsiderate staff. Conditions of the course are terrible and they’re charging $40 for a round.

What a joke...no wonder courses are dropping around here..walked in to empty pro shop..no one mind you...7:00 a.m....asked for tee time...idiot says nothing open until 9:30...i am an assistant pro at another course formally related to this course...if you have a cash paying customer in front of you..and there is NOBODY on the tee box...and you turn them away...how is that a good business decision...i have never seen such nonsense in my career in golf....sad

Poorly maintained golf course. Greens are very slow; like putting on shag carpet. I paid $18 for 18 holes, gave up after 9 due to poor course condition. Giving this course 2 stars because, for the price, one cannot expect something too nice; however, I have played better courses in Orlando for similar money.Played 05/10/16 - was surprised the Bermuda was not in decent shape.

Really nice place to spend some time golfing!! And hanging out by the pool!! Senior ground!! Living 65 and up!!

Great and friendly staff. Course very manageable and plays well. A must when visiting Florida.

Waited in line of traffic formed outside the community over 30 minutes, causing us to miss our tee time. Person at the pro shop seemed to think that is a reasonable wait time to enter a gated community. He reasoned that they didnt want just anyone getting into their little community. Then he informed us that there were no golf carts anyway. I guess reservations mean something different at this course. Abhorrent customer service, average prices. The executive course is well designed and maintained, however. Enjoyable if not for the staff.

I stopped in just to hit balls and I found the staff very friendly. Even though I was by myself they invited me back to play, they said they would get me a game or I could go out as a single if the coarse wasnt packed.

Pro shop closed at 4:30. Its daylight savings time and dark at 7:30. Cant get range balls. How are tee times available online after 4:30 if you are closed?
