Tap That Axe Throwing

Had such a great time doing this! Went for a girls night and it was so much fun. The staff is super nice and they were there to offer pointers and also help with different games you could play. We started with only a half hour and then decided to play for longer. I did axe throwing when I was a kid and it was great to do it again! They had one handed and two handed options. Recommended for anyone looking for something fun to do!

Small joint but very safe, everyone (staff and visitors) were friendly and shared the space well! The Axe-pert did a great job teaching us newbies and giving great tips during our time. It is worth the price!

This was my first time axe throwing, other than when I was young in cub/boy scouts. The venue was clean and well organized. You could tell they take COVID precautions seriously. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation and had access to the bar with a great selection of beer as well as various games. When our reservation started, we were given a great tutorial, the staff stayed with us and gave tips throughout the time, leading us through many games. I recommend you give it a shot. We had a lot of fun. I know Ill be back!

Our axe -pert Michael was awesome,So was the young lady who met us at the desk. We laughed so much and though we had some light competition the entire experience was fun.Great value and a safe friendly atmosphere. Just what we new citizens of North Carolina from New Jersey needed to solidify our choice of places to live.We will be back with more family and friends.Btw..love the photo ops!! Thanks again

Went this past weekend with friend and had a blast!My wife and I have thrown axes several time but never here. The couple we went with had never thrown before but after just a few tries they had it down pat. We had Michael as our coach and he was great. He would help you if you asked but wasnt pushy. We played a lot of games and made the most of our 1 hour and 15 minutes. I see us going back for sure and would love to see deals and specials maybe on days that are slower.

We had sooo much fun, it was a great experience. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The staff were professional, informative, and friendly. Very good selection of beers, and ciders. Definitely going again. And if you havent been its definitely worth visiting. Thanks Spencer. A true Ax-pert!!!!!

Noah was our axepert, he was awesome and super helpful and nice! We went for my bachelorette party and it was so much fun! Noah gave us some tips and different games to play. I also love that its super clean there. The only thing that would make this place better is if they served some bar food or munchies.

First of all, Tap That Axe Throwing great customer service began before I even set foot in the place. I had a question about how to make sure my friends got put in the same lane as us because they had to make their booking separately after I paid for mine. I emailed Tap That Axe Throwing and Peter promptly replied to me in like 20 minutes! He told me two different ways to do this:

We went here on a double date and it was so much fun! They had a Glow Throw for Halloween which was pretty neat. They had great social distance protocols and our axepert was also very personable throughout our experience. It was our first time Axe throwing, but it certainly won’t be our last!

Had a wonderful night out with friends at Tap that Axe! The staff are every friendly and offer great coaching on technique. Great drinks, great activity, and great service. Will definitely come back!

Staff was very friendly and helpful! They instructed us on how to throw and then led us through various games. I think our axepert was Noah. He was very easy to talk to and engaged with both us and our teenagers. They have our son a special gift for his birthday. They kept up with sanitizing and we felt safe! Thank you!

Super attentive about keeping our group safe and ensuring everyone wears masks in common areas and hand sanitizer everywhere! As well as having pretty much your own private area for you and your group of friends. Beyond impressed and can’t wait to come back!

Best guys night EVER! Paid ahead of time, signed the waivers before we showed up and everything went great! Had an awesome “Axepert” named Noah who was so patient and cool to hang out with! By the end of the night, it felt like He came with us! In all seriousness the employees were really kind, the facility was super clean, great selection of drinks, and they made sure that everyone felt safe during this pandemic! 10/10 will definitely be back and willinvite anyone I can! A few friends and I were out to eat last night and were trying to decide what to do. We wanted to do something a little different. Someone suggested axe throwing and we started to look at places nearby. This place had 1 spot left open so we tried out axe throwing here.They have several cabins for axe throwing. A cabin is a fenced in area where you throw axes at the target. This is a safety measure. They also have a bar and a few arcade games. The alcohol prices were very fair. Each cabin gets assigned a coach to help you get better at axe throwing. Our coach was knowledgeable and friendly and had a few games for us to play during our 75 minute axe throwing session. If axe throwing makes you nervous, take a deep breathe and follow the rules and the coaches advice and youll have a great time! After throwing, they have a massive Kings chair that you can take pictures in with catchy signs. Some of the pictures turn out hilarious because of the signs you can hold!I would recommend this place to people who have never thrown an axe or a seasoned veteran as well. The staff is friendly and the place feels homey.

We had gone several times before they were shut down because of the coronavirus. Happy to see them back open with safety protocols in place! Love the staff. Ive been here twice so far: the first time I watched my friends throw (I was a little scared to throw) and this past weekend I threw for the first time and both times I had an amazing time! I think its definitely more fun to throw, but watching is also very entertaining. Tap That Axe Throwing is unique because you play mini games with your friends and sometimes with strangers who quickly become your friends. Ive heard that other places just let you throw axes, which is cool, but friendly competition is definitely more fun to me. Their beer selection is also fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely loved this place! My whole group had a blast and it was our first time throwing ever. We had axe coach Michael - he was amazing as well. He helped all of us improve quickly and he was funny, kind, and helpful. 10/10 reccomend this place. The environment is fun, laid back, and familiar.

We had an incredible time! It was so much fun and Michael our coach throughout the whole experience was so entertaining, very knowledgeable about the axes, the games and the leagues. We had a blast! We went for my friend Tias Birthday! We had 9 to throw and 11 watching! Those watching where kind of envious they didnt throw as well! Great fun! The majority of us are members of The American Legion Post 55 and are also members of the American Legion Riders!

We had so much fun! If you’re looking for something different this is the place to go. We had Gabby as a coach and she was very friendly and helpful when it came to learning how to throw the axe. They also had a great selection of craft beers, and games while you wait! Thank you, tap that axe!

We had my husbands birthday party there and it was a great experience. The staff was so great to work with and very accommodating. Loved having the private rooms in the back. We had 12 people and everyone had plenty of throwing time. Great experience. Will definitely go back.

Had such a great time with family that I booked a reservation to come back with friends the next week. My son did the same with his friends and everyone had another great time. We are thinking on making this a regular outing. Everyone is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. A place to relax have fun and if needed, even get some frustration out. This was a fun date for my husband and I. Everyone was wonderful!. The axepert stays with you the whole time to keep score of games and help perfect your throw. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is considering going! You will not be disappointed.

These guys are awesome! Woodchuck was very helpful and made learning the techniques easy and a lot of fun. If you havent tried axe throwing before, this is the place to go.

All I can say is WOW!!! Went in skeptical came out a true believer! This is an amazingly fun way to spend time with family and friends! You’ll get a warmup round where the axepert will teach you how to throw. Very quick and easy to pick up, so don’t be shy. Then you’ve got the rest of the time to play some fun competition or accuracy games with your friends and family to see who the champion will be. Totally worth with bragging rights!! I loved our experience at this Axe throwing!!! Gabby is was the best axepert! She was super fun and down for a good laugh! My whole family went and we all enjoyed ourself! It was easy and anyone can do it! I would recommend this to everyone!

It was my first axe throwing instance and I thoroughly loved it. The instructor as very humble and kept correcting my mistakes and in very short time I was doing comparatively well.

I don’t write reviews for many places but we LOVE Tap That Axe. We went toward the end of August for our anniversary and again this weekend for my husbands birthday. Both times Michael was our axepert. He was so nice, funny, and very knowledgeable. The other workers there are also a lot of fun and you can tell they really love their jobs. I foresee many more visits to Tap That Axe in our future!! 12/10 would recommend!!

My husband and I went early on a Saturday for a date and had an absolute blast. Ryan was awesome!!! Taught us how to throw the axes safely and properly. We played several games and enjoyed our time immensely. The beer selection as also pretty top notch!!! We will definitely be back!

Great place for groups. They have terrific, knowledgeable staff in a relaxed atmosphere! There are plenty of spots to throw axes as well as board games and arcade games for those in your group who dont want to throw an axe. They offer a large variety of drinks, but, not much food other than prepackaged items. But, guests are more than welcome to bring in their own food.

Had a great time with my wife. We did the 75 minute session and our axepert Ryan was great. Very positive and helpful. Not overbearing and allowed us to have fun. Will be back and bringing other goon friends. Had a 13:30 appointment on a Saturday; being less crowded I think helped personally. 0 wait 0 stress. Waiting area and bar/lounge was nice. Great beer selection. Bartender was awesome too.

We went last night and we had a blast. Staff and facility 5 stars. This is somthing everyone should try. Throwing axes may seem A bit intimidating to some but its not at all. Easy to learn with their axeberts and what a way to relieve stress. We are going back tonight.

Environment is relaxed but stylish.Boards are well-kept and new most of the time.Staff members are super friendly and welcoming. Charity deserves a raise.
