In great shape, greens rolling fast. Good price also, $35
Played championship corse very nice club i will be back
The Par 3 looks really good since they have redone it. Barely any shade anymore because of all the trees they took out.
The new championship course is beautiful! Would have given five stars if it wasnt $57 to play around at 18. Price point is a little too high with all of the other beautiful golf course options in the area.
Really good shape for November.
One of our favorite parks. Loved the holiday lights. Such nice staff. The manor house is so beautiful. The words are not enough to describe it, it’s just so gorgeous.
Weather was great, played champions course. Layout is fun, greens were hard but pretty fast which was great. Fairways could be softer...conditions overall were good...would play again but not 1st choice. It was worth the hot deal price.
Amazing light show. The ride there from VA was a bit rough due to traffic, but once there, the holiday spirit awoke within, and turned it to a very enjoyable experience.
Something for everyone here. Enjoy a round of golf on their championship level courses, take horse riding lessons or check out the festival of lights!
First time there. Amazing greens and setup. Definitely going back.
I was happy at the pond with the ducks and geese surrounding us, but we went to sit at the pool and maybe a swim. They arent even open at the pool until 4..disappointed for sure. Its 7 dollars a piece? We re senior Citizens so there might be a discount.
Tanglewood is just a great spot for me. Stables are great and always played Reynolds for years.
Festival of lights is amazing. Check out the gift barn!
Great greens. Fairways good. A bit ragged in places. Good pace of play.
That this place is amazing. The lights are beautiful.
Course has a great layout. But be prepared for unlevel shots. There is a not one flat space on the fairways. Super wet, but weve had a lot of rain lately. Good price after 1 PM. Overall, Id play again slowly for the greens, they allow you to hit right at the flag.
Course renovations are fantastic! The new champion Bermuda greens are beautiful and roll pure and true. Every bunker on the course has been overhauled, with some added and some removed. Ive played this course 100+ times, and today I felt like I was playing the course for the first time. Highly recommend getting a few rounds in this fall.
Love this place we go every year
The Reynolds course is open while the Championship course is close due to renovation. The Reynolds course is in great shape. Will use all clubs in your bag. Reasonable priced. Great staff.
The greens were in very good condition. . .The fairways were beautiful. . . Played the Reynolds Course. . . Nice Facility, Helpful Staff. . . Grill has great food choices. . . The french fries are excellent. . .
Tanglewood Festival of lights for Christmas is a Must see!! My family and I look forward to it every year. It definitely brings out the kid in every adult Ive seen there including myself! Gift shop, hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows, and Santa make for a Great pit stop halfway thru!! Perfect Christmas Tradition for your family!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!
First of all, Ill just say I highly recommend playing here. I live in Georgia and was just visiting to look at college campuses. And since I love golf, I searched courses in the area and Tanglewood came up. I played the Championship course. Back in Atlanta, GA, Ive played a bunch of different courses along with others around the country. The Championship course has one of the best layouts Ive seen in a very long time. Truly seems like a professional course. Very playable and there are a lot of risk-reward type shots. The course was in great shape for winter and the greens were smooth. The only complaint I have is that the fairways were a touch spotty in places, but the fact that it had an amazing layout made it not matter very much. The rates are great and the staff is helpful. I highly recommend this course.
A great place to ..have fun in the park !! A Beer F.......an ...Lots of MS!!
Great course. Exceptional condition!
Good par 3 course. Green need some improvement. The 18 hole course is great. Great experience. Love. It!
The most beautiful public course in our state. The championship course will close soon for a face lift but the Reynolds course is lovely. The wildlife is fun to watch and brings so much charm to Tanglewood.
Course is in great condition ... Sand traps are soft and a challenge... Greens are fast and roll true! A real challenge to make par!
Helpful and professional staff, lovely course with reasonable rates.
The Tanglewood lights are great. The gift shop is also very nice with over 40 vendors.
5 + star rating on Tanglewood Country Club. Thank you Tanglewood management employee staff for making my visit a very enjoyable one relaxing and I will return again everything was great I have no complaints. I will return with with a group take part of Mora tanglewoods giese Park.
Great course and nice staff.
Played Reynolds course, first tee time started on back. Course in great shape, everyone nice. First 9, 1hr 45 min, second 9, 3hr because of 1 group in front after the turn. Grill not open at turn (opens@9)No beer carts on course. Good day overall but slow play on back9 sucked - group ahead was at least 2 holes behind by finish.
Great course, tough greens and reasonably priced
Very nice good looking people around must be richies haha..
I played 18 holes on PAR 3 COURSE .Great for the kids, but 5 greens were in really bad shape.Only 12$ 18 holholes with a cart!
Had a great time on the Reynolds
I play here regularly. The course is a lot of fun, but the sand traps are usually in less than desirable condition. Everything else about this course is pretty above average for the price. The greens stay consistent and the fairways are usually in good shape, even in the winter months.
The Championship course is in great shape except for the traps and there are a ton of them around most all greens. Most all of them are clay or if not clay. they are river sand with large pebbles. They water the greens and the traps with sand pack down to make it almost impossible to play out of or the clay is so hard that it is like chipping off cement. Other than that the course is the best in town. If you can stay out of the traps, its a great place to play.
Course was good but my game play was not
This is a well laid out course with one major flaw. The courses calling card is a host of bunkers that appear both along the fairways and covering the greens. Unfortunately, the bunkers are poorly maintained, leaving players to hit off what amounts to concrete. The fairways are in great shape and the greens fair, but the bunkers come into play consistently, and sadly it can ruin a round.
Great play set near Mallard Lake and it is in the shade! Individual at the gate was very helpful!
Awesome family environment. Great for family outings.
The championship course is a great course. The Reynolds....Im not a far but its a challenging track nontheless. The usually have food deals on all the golf booking sites too
Love your choice of 2 courses. Both the courses are well maintained. Staff are pleasant. Overall I recommend for any golf enthusiast
Very challenging, well kept and nice people to deal with!!!
3 of us played the Championship course yesterday. Although we rode golf carts many people used rolling golf bag carts. Being a Saturday the course was crowded. The 4 some behind us called the clubhouse to report my group was slow. Riding a cart and staying on the cart path is much slower than walking with your clubs directly to your ball. Two seperate rangers came out to tell us we needed to speed up. We had a foursome in front of us and two cart groups pushing us from behind. The second ranger that came out( I believe his name is Munell) was a thug. My 74 year old playing parter admittedly was frustrated told him we were playing as fast as we could. No curse words. The ranger gets out of his cart walks in my friends face and tells him he is going to show him some respect when he talks to him. I got involved and told the ranger he was unprofessional for trying to instigate a fight with a patron let alone a frustrated man over 74 years old. The ranger fraternized with the group behind us like the were his friends. I told him we would be leaving the course immediately and not coming back(16th hole). Good ole boys are alive and well in Clemmons. But they wont be getting my $55 pp ever again. In my humble opinion even after the changes the course is no where near on the level of Bryan Parks Championship course for the same money.
Nice Christmas light display. It takes a while to get in to the park and takes a while to ride through. There is a barn you can stop and get refreshments and purchase gifts from local vendors.
The tanglewood xmas lights were beautiful. My sons 1st experience was great. Cant wait to return next year
The Championship course is an incredible layout and makes for a wonderful round of golf. Dont bother with the Reynolds Course. I debated giving 4 stars because the grill is subpar and some of the staff clearly dont want to be there. But overall, the course warrants 5 stars, will play here anytime Im in the area.
Value for the money is above average. Customer service through the pro shop and eating lunch area needs improvement. Played championship, temps above 90, made the turn and all had gone home except one older gentlemen in the pro shop. As golfers, we have many choices and after spending over 170 on water, gatorade, green fees, I will not return since the service areas were closed on a Saturday @ 6:21 PM. Not a service driven venue for golfers...
Staff is exceptional, great golf courses and many other activities available...wildlife really adds to the Whole experience@ Tanglewood Park, Must visit!
Great golf course and people
What an amazing Park. Everything from horse riding to paddle boats to fishing to playground to pool.
Really great course all around. They keep it looking nice and in great condition. They could eliminate a dozen or so sand traps though.
Just the greatest municiple park I have ever attended.
I went for the Christmas lights theyre beautiful. But the lil store and the little concessions are a bit pricey
Reynolds course is in great shape, and ready for everyone while the Championship course is being rebuilt.
Great place, nice atmosphere, cool par 3.
Always enjoy playing here
I loved all the different things you can do at Tanglewood. Swim, Golf, horseback riding and the play ground.
Ive played here numerous times and was disappointed with the championship course. Lot of rocks in bunkers and greens were average. I would play the Reynolds course, better bang for your buck.
Love this place. There is so much to do
Course has good conditions and cheap discount prices which results in crowded conditions and slow play. Also this is County Government run course run by government employees who get great golf deals and control T times and groupings. They are not always friendly. Excessive numbers of foursomes and so called mini group tournaments can constantly disrupt course play resulting in very slow play. No rangers monitoring the pace of play.
I was glad that they opened there doors for the public. So that we could see the lights throughout this Christmas season.
Great place! Championship Course is amazing!
Greens were in good to great shape on championship course and just ok on reynolds. Fairways looked good but overall the courses dont look attractive. Weeds everywhere bare spots etc. The definition between fairway and rough was where the weeds went crazy or of control. Courses are not difficult. While the sand traps look bad because of the color of the sand, they were not bad.
Old place but nice. Beautiful outside. Clubhouse locker rooms are in need of remodeling.
Pretty park great for walking.
My daughter was just married there this past weekend. BEAUTIFUL gulf course!!
I had visited the festival of lights. It was better this year than last year. They had more bulbs working but some of the lights had a horrible delay. I literally had to stop and wait on the jack in the box to light up near the middle before going to the Smore stop.
Good for events nice golf course packable staff pricey but worth the money
Beautiful property, I was there for a wedding at the barn which was very nice and well kept. The barn is a very nice place for a wedding and has AC
Beautiful course; had an amazing round!
Beautiful scenery. My kids love the play ground.
Best Christmas lights in the state.
I LOVE TO SEE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS EVERY YEAR.
Very nice course. Used to host PGA your events here. Arnold Palmer and Lee Trevino were past winners here. Very fun to play. Owned by the city of Winson-Salem so conditions are hit and miss. But worth a trip.
Part of the county park which offers a lot of recreation opportunities at a very affordable price, including walking, jogging, trails, horse riding, shelters and seasonal boating
Great place to play a Saturday round of golf!
The Championship course was great but the par 3 absolutely sucked. Would have rather played in a turnip patch. Mine as well putted in a hayfield. The guy working in there was watching a dag um movie. Used a sand wedge every hole. Longest hole was 90 yard. Total waste of money.
Best place for Christmas lights. Good craft items and foods in the barn. Long lines if you arrive after dark.
Loved the Christmas lights!
Great course layout at the back of Tanglewood Park. On clear days you can see downtown Winston and the surrounding foothills. Reasonably priced for a round and friendly pros.
Great place to play, cant wait for the new improvements
Course is in great shape, wish the bunkers had soft sand instead of packed red clay..
Had a wonderful baby shower, all staff were nice and helpful
The festival of lights never disappoints
Nice track not too hard just a lot of bunkers but really nice
Great golf course. Excellent practice facilities
Excellent old fashioned well kept course with good food and beautiful scenery.
The Reynolds course has rather narrow fairways and the first hole is like one Ive never seen. A fun course.
Terrific Barn and links-if youre with the right party! And we were!
Clean park. Nice trails. Nice playground.
Its time to start putting some money back into the courses.
It just nice and beautiful there and i enjoyed myself
I dont remember going to this
