As a professional wedding planner, I work with wedding venues all over Cincinnati. I recently had the pleasure of working with Lawre at the Little Red Schoolhouse. Planning a wedding can be stressful under the best circumstances, but planning a wedding during a pandemic is even more challenging. Lawres flexibility, professionalism and kindness to my clients made such a difference. While her job is to be a steward of this historic venue, she shows genuine care and concern for the people planning special events there. She answered calls and emails promptly, offered helpful suggestions, and was a real team player throughout the planning process. The schoolhouse is one of the most unique, historic and charming locations I have ever worked in. Their reasonable rental rates and the fact that you can bring in your own professional caterer, provide your own alcohol and work with Lawre make it even better.

The Little Red Schoolhouse was the perfect venue for our holiday dinner for 60 people. The room was decorated with beautiful holiday decor provided by the Indian Hill Historical Society which added to the warmth and holiday spirit. La Soupe, our caterer found the kitchen facilities to be excellent. On behalf of the Alliance Francaise de Cincinnati, we highly recommend this venue.

It was a lovely outdoor setting for the wedding and reception.

I rented the schoolhouse for my wedding, and its the PERFECT venue for a small wedding. We had about 30 guests, and there was room for all of us to sit with spare room for dancing. The kitchen is a good size for catering, and the scenery outside is gorgeous. The rate was AMAZING compared to most venues in the area. I definitely recommend checking it out!

This little building has seen more happy celebrations, and were privileged to have shared in but a few of them. Each one just as good as the other ones, thanks to a fantastic venue. Congrats to the historical society!

Loved the Little Red Schoolhouse as a venue for my daughter’s 7/13/18 wedding! Our guests raved over the Schoolhouse and it worked perfectly for our outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception. Minimal decorations were needed as the charm of this place stands out on its own!Lawre(administrator) was great at answering all of our questions in a timely manner during the planning and giving us access when needed. Highly recommend the Schoolhouse!!

We had a wonderful wedding and reception here. Lawre from the Historical Society was so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting a small, intimate event.

If youre looking for a laid-back and memorable place to host your wedding, the Little Red Schoolhouse is it! Lawre and the other staff members were so helpful and let us view the schoolhouse for planning purposes early and often. And unlike many other outdoor venues in the area, they will allow food trucks for our catering (they were a huge hit with our guests!). With such gorgeous surroundings both indoors and out, you really cant go wrong with the schoolhouse!

The Little Red Schoolhouse is an amazingly beautiful place and was the PERFECT venue for my June 2018 dream wedding. My husband and I knew we wanted something low-key and affordable (but still in the Cincinnati area) and were having a hard time finding venues that would allow us to bring in our own drinks and pick our own caterer. Lawre, the Indian Hill Historical Societys Administrator is patient and thorough, understanding and helpful. She let us visit the Little Red Schoolhouse twice and always answered my emails within 24 hours. I will recommend this gorgeous venue to any and everyone who asks me about my wedding now! Thank you SO much Lawre and the Indian Hill Historical Society for preserving this gorgeous landmark, and allowing so many happy couples celebrate their weddings here! It is truly a gem in the Cincinnati area, and Im surprised more people dont get married here.

My husband and I are so happy we chose the LRS as our wedding venue. We had a smaller wedding and this venue was the perfect back drop to our wondering evening. Lawre was very easy to work with as well as straightforward about their rules and policies. I highly suggest if you’re looking for a different type of venue for your big day!

The schoolhouse was the perfect place for our wedding reception! We had a tent set up outside of the schoolhouse. Lawre was so helpful and flexible during the planning process.
