I brought my fiance here as one of his birthday outings because we were wanting to try something different and it was so much fun! They have a Date Night class on Fridays and we each got to decorate a slab of clay and we then rolled it into a vase. Nikki was the best teacher and because there was only 1 other couple there at the time it was very easy for us to get some help from her when we needed it. This place is so neat we want to go back again to try some of there other classes! They glaze it for you and fire it and we cant wait to pick up the finished product in a few weeks!

I did not receive my finished pieces. I called weekly for several weeks and was told they would look for my pieces and call me back but I never received any call backs. I had to keep calling until today, when they said so sorry they might have broken in the firing or something we can not find them. This is all we can all say per Core Clay. This is bad customer relations and bad customer service.

A wonderful resource for all things clay. Everything you need for all levels. The staff are friendly and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Locally owned with a social conscious. Worth a visit, even if you dont work with clay, their showroom features art many of the regions talented clay artists -great place for unique gifts.i cant recommend enough.

Date night was a lot of fun. We got to make a couple of flower pots an met a very nice couple.

Today was my first visit to Core Clay. Nikki was very polite and helpful and the selection of pottery for sale was varied and reasonable priced. They have a nice selection of pottery tools- at least enough to definitely get you started- and a wide selection of Laguna products.

The date night was so much fun! It’s not just for couples either, my sister and I went together and it was a blast. Nikki was very helpful and very patient with us learning our way around the clay. Definitely worth it!

Awesome place to purchase anything pertaining to the art of making pottery. They also have a gallery set up in the front of the store to showcase the work of resident pottery students. Also, check out the variety of classes they have to offer. You wont be disappointed.

The staff is great, especially Nikki, who went above and beyond to get parts and repair my kiln before she left on vacation so that I could get ready for an art show. And theyre always very helpful when I come in for supplies.

I love this place! Not just because of the ceramics I do there, but because of the people there too!

My daughter and I took a beginners course on the wheel. The class included clay and tools. Even in a class setting we got individual help when we needed it. After the class ended we can join a monthly membership so we can go when we want. We definitely want to do another class.

Had a date night here a few months back and it was fun! My wife and I made a pair of vases and after we got done with our stamping and forming the vases, we had them glazed by their staff and after a few weeks, they came out great. Place is BYOB for the date night package - totally worth the time to check out!

Core Clay is a Cincinnati gem! Its laid-back atmosphere allows any creative spirit to flourish. I love that I can come in whenever inspiration hits me and/or my schedule allows, day or night. Reflecting back on my nearly 10 years as a member here, I have consistently found the staff and my fellow members to be warm and supportive. From my beginner classes with John and Laura many years ago, to Nikkis advanced and directed classes, and all of the artist and Artist-in-Residence classes and workshops I have taken here over the years, my experience is that Core is simply wonderful!

I took a beginner class with Nikki. After only 6 classes I made a plate, 2 mugs, 1 cup, and 2 bowls. I learned not only how to do this but also how to glaze them. Before this class I had no idea that I would be able to actually learn how to do this. My teacher was patient with explaining the steps multiple times and this class was a perfect class to take without having an expectations of how I would do. I am proud of how my pieces turned out and am looking forward to continue learning more about wheel throwing and ceramics. If you are thinking about taking her class do it!

Core Clay has several different classes available for any skill level. You are encouraged to go any time they are open to practice (while you are taking the classes) and there are super friendly members and staff around to help if you have any questions. I have taken 2 different 6 week courses with Nikki and enjoyed it so much I joined as a member and I have even signed my son up for a summer camp.

The staff is nice and the art inside is beautiful. The classes they offer are fairly priced and you will learn plenty about working with clay, I highly recommend it.

I cant say enough about my experience at Core Clay. From start to finish the classes were fantastic. I couldnt believe we were working on the wheel at our first lesson. Our instructors were knowledgeable and so supportive. I enjoyed it so much I became a member of the studio!!!!!

ALWAYS so helpful when I am in need of supplies and tools. They helped me buy my first pottery wheel! The tool selection is the best in the city and I love that I can call ahead and order a certain amount of dry material and it is bagged up and waiting for me when I get there. As an artist, knowing the people at Core Clay has been an incredibly valuable resource.

Core has been my supplier of clay and tools for the last few years. As a production potter I use a lot of materials and Core always has the best prices in town. I dont utilize much of their other services, but they offer everything from private studio spaces to classes, firing services, etc. If youre interested in ceramics and the ceramic arts then you must stop in and see them for yourself.

Scheduled a class for 13 people, everyone had a great time, allowed adult drinks for the class.

A small operation that often doesnt have everything when you need it, but they make up for it in friendliness and gumption. The gallery portion is a great idea, but the the works for sale are not very impressive. If they dont have it in stock, they can order anything you need, so you just have to plan ahead. And if you visit, there are friendly dogs, which is always a plus. There isnt a great variety of brands when it comes to commercial glazes, and I wish they were more proactive in assisting with loading purchases in vehicles. But having previously worked as a clay supplier, I can understand why their backs might not be able to take it day after day. I hope they do well - Cincinnati needs a place like this.
