This is a must see during the holidays. Thre decorations are breathtaking. The history is well taken care of and the volunteers are amazingly nice.

Had been meaning to visit this for years! Surprised at how large the rooms were for such an old structure, beautiful antique furnishings. Not handicap accessible, many stairs. Self guided tour, information spots to text for information throughout home.

Nice collection of artifacts as well as beautifully restored building. And NO charge! A worthwhile stop, though may not be of interest to children.

Wow! Incredible preservation of history. So much to learn and see here. A must visit in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Absolutely wonderful.

Well-maintained, fascinating, and free. Different rooms are restored to a variety of time periods. The staff know some fascinating trivia and are very fun to talk to. Great for small groups and history enthusiasts.

A nice, quiet, informative look into the history of Wyoming. Really pretty fascinating to see the layout. I think my favorite room was the Sun Porch on the 2nd floor.

Staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help me and my small human finish the scavenger hunt! History was well taught with exciting trivia.

When in Cheyenne during CFD parade you need to also visit the Governors Mansion - Yvonne was a Great tour guide.

Came in there almost at 5pm while passing through Cheyenne. Nevertheless the local museum workers were happy to let us in and even gave us a short tour -- all for free. Really nice and somewhat educational place to visit with a family.

Ive done this tour twice, once during the holidays when it was decorated for Christmas, and once when it was just set for normal day to day living. It was great both times, really worth the time and the donation. You wont regret it.

Great place to visit! Self guided tour, but the on site historian was great to talk to and ask questions. Definitely go see it if youre in the area!

Well preserved and a beautiful walk through early to mid 20th century history. Free admittance, but open to donations. I strongly recommend this to anyone interested in Wyoming history and early 1900s American architecture and lifestyle.

Excellent job and well worth the stop. There is a scavenger hunt for kids or any age as well!

Great free self guided tour

Curator was very kind and didnt rush us, even though we arrived about a half hour before the posted closing time. Answered all questions, even though the mansion is pretty much a self guided tour.

This governors residence is curb appeal perfection. The best part of our visit was learning a little about the wives of past governors. Be sure to stop by when in the area. Just like all the attractions in Cheyenne, parking is right out front on the street.

Good quick self tour a glimpse into early Wyoming
