I was told in may that I would be getting a refund of my deposit, its June 30 and I havent heard anything. I went to contact the new owner Maura Jacobson (can also reference her name on secretary of states business website) on face book and the face book page for Asher upstairs has been deleted. Clearly their website has been taken down and I have no point of contact. Really hoping this review will get someones attention.

I was supposed to have my wedding at the Asher upstairs on July 11 of this year (2020). Due to miscommunication between the manager and owners, a statement was released saying that the Asher was going to be closing and that all deposits were going to be refunded. I believe that was an April. My fiancé and I scrambled around to try to figure out a new venue to hold our wedding, which was very difficult with it only being a few months away. We opted for a backyard wedding instead. After making new plans, we finally heard from The new manager who also told us that our deposit would be refunded. It is now June 8 and I have had no contact with anybody else regarding this situation. I have tried multiple times to call, left multiple messages, sent a few emails and also a few messages over Facebook, with no response to anything. But of course when they needed my deposit, they answered everything right away. I am very disappointed with the way that this is handled and hope that I don’t have to seek an attorney to get my deposit back after being promised multiple times that I would. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

Our family baby shower was held at the Asher Building Upstairs. This spacious venue was perfect for our winter theme. Pretty lights are pre-strung on the wooden beam ceiling. The walls are mostly brick. A large, pre-lit stage was set up. A microphone was available for our use. All requested tables and chairs were in place. We set up the hot cocoa bar on a taller, wide bar/shelving unit. There is an elevator and bathroom there as well. We were very satisfied with our experience and the memories we made there.

Loved this place! Their lights hanging made the atmosphere so comfortable and not so invasive. Everything is set up for a party Christine is super laid back and did a fantastic job being a host making sure we had everything for our dance.
