We walked the 1.8 mile trail. Although we were in the city it seems that youre out in the forest. The loop is mixed gravel, dirt & paved.
Cool history with house, outbuildings & cemetery to boot. Just find it all so interesting!
Would love more information on the family of enslaved people who built this place.
This is a nicely maintained home of Frederick Bates, Governor of Missouri in the 1820s. Tours are offered occasionally and are worth it if you have the time, as the house has some interesting history. The staff are clearly passionate about the house and eager to share its story with anyone who is interested.
Stroll into the nineteenth century. Beautiful trail.
Educational. Historical. Informative.
Nice walking trails
The 3 Ladies & a gentleman volunteers were a great wealth of knowledge. Thank you, we learned quite a bit about our new home state today. The Lady demonstrating the spinning was the best! What a treasure she is!

This was really a great field trip. The kids were all engaged and they learned quite a bit. It was very hands on.
Part of Faust Park. Interesting tour.
Historic home/farm in a tranquil location on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. Part of Faust Park where the Butterfly House, St. Louis Carousel, Historic Village and Playground are also located.
