This is a fun park to go to. If you have not been, I highly suggest going. The playground is big. They have historical buildings all around. Ive never been in, but they have a giant butterfly house. That costs money for entry though. The butterfly house is nice to walk around too. The bathrooms next to the playground are very dark though, and when I went there was no soap.

Dont forget about the old town in the back of the park! Most people go here for the butterfly house, and its legit. This park has so much more to offer though. Way in the back, they have an old town with historic houses and such all decked out. They are usually locked up, but you can still look in the window and admire the past.

Faust Park has a great deal to offer for a family outing, including a big playground, The St. Louis Carousel (a traditional 1920s carousel, which is now housed in an environmentally controlled building), the historic village, Thornhill Estate (once home to Missouris 2nd Governor), and the Butterfly House, an amazing place where you can interact with, and and learn all about, Butterflies. This is a great place to spend a day.

I love the history of this park. There are historic houses that the park has saved and moved to its property that really add to the atmosphere. My husband and I had our wedding photos taken here and just had our daughters 1 year photos taken here recently. The Butterfly House is adjacent as well as an awesome carousel! FYI if you want to take any pictures on the carousel its $175 PER HOUR! Yeah. Thats some BS, but the carousel is really cool.

Fantastic county park. I go almost daily during the work week, to have picnic lunches, explore the trails, and get away from the crush of Chesterfield.Contains Butterfly House and indoor carousel. Public amenities include a large covered pavilion, storm-shelter bathrooms, and a playground for children. There are beverage machines and water fountains. Plenty of waste disposal, but no recycling bins.Historic Governors Mansion is well kept and provides scenic photo opportunities. The garden is neglected and the peach orchard is not tended. There are some wild honeybee hives that are beautiful and fun to watch, shaded picnic areas, and well maintained trails to explore. Tons of great edible mushrooms to forage, pawpaw, berries, and squash. The geese are spoiled rotten and are used to vehicles stopping for them. They WILL move if you slowly drive through them. Otherwise they will sleep in the road and you will wait over 30 minutes. Please stop teaching them bad habits.

This park is beautiful! Large play areas for the children. Two play grounds (one for small children and one for bigger kids 5 -12) right next to each other. Parents can watch from shaded benches. There are picnic tables available if you want to bring lunch. I love the swing for a mom and small child, or an older sibling and smaller sibling! My 10 year old and 3 year old have such a great time swinging on it! The bathrooms are very clean. I love the 3-in-one sinks (automated soap, water, and hand dryer). Definitely a must go to for the summer!

I live nearby several parks: I was going here way before they expanded and put in the butterfly house the carousel etc. These are all great additions to a wonderful park where you can go and take nice walks -theres plenty of shaded areas.I highly recommend this park from young to old. However it does tend to be overcrowded at times due to school bus trips and there can be a lot of people.I walk my dogs there are and I have for many years. My only complaint is that please -everyone with dogs keep them on a leash at all times !!Because, not all dogs are friendly and we do have people that will let their dogs off the leash and let them run freely or walk without a leash and come running up to other dogs without warning : which can be dangerous. Also I wish that they did not remove several picnic tables in the park.It used to be a wonderful place to pack a picnic lunch and sit under the trees with picnic tables.

The sign on the old barn is condescending and disingenuous. There are definitely physical objects which your eyes could see that are behind walls and doors. You mean to say everything we feel is of interest to see has been displayed here for you to see from the outside; please stay beyond the fenceOther than that, the park is nice. Playground is full of equipment for play. Historical park is a fun look into history.
