Cute at little joint with a fabulous owner. If youre in the area you must check it out. Great local beers available and awesome games!
Awesome place. Great service.
They don’t update their hours on google, they don’t answer the phone, the whole building is set up to confuse customers, not impressed at all there are much better arcades
Coin op is a fantastic place. Great beer selection awesome pinball games Lord of the rings is a favorite of me and my wife. Fun music and good times abound. If your looking for a date night that isnt to pricey this is a great spot. Also.. Cereal bar.. what ??!? And yes they have dairy free options.
Love hanging out here. Can be very busy at times, but the atmosphere is light and fun.A great place to take kids as well!
I cant get enough of how fun this place was for my kids. Im not a big time gamer, but we met nice people and I enjoyed the Terminator game and knocking back beer while my kids and husband had a great time. Reminded me of being a kid... plus beer.
Our family loves this place! Where else can you drink a local IPA with a bowl of your favorite childhood cereal while playing classic old school video games? And the staff is super friendly and helpful, too.
Great beer and fun games! I love that they combined the patio with the other bars in the area. Pretty much everything you would need for a night out all within walking distance.
This place always offers a decent assortment of beers, me and my boyfriend always have a great time here. Perfect date night spot.
As a young girl not knowing anything about Chattanooga, I appreciate this place being wide out in the open. Theres interesting decor and I really loved it here. You ever send $50 in an arcade? I did I have no self control. The employees seemed sweet but they didnt interact with my group much.
We truly loved this place! It has pinball and other video games for 25 to 50 cents a game. Theres soda, beer and hard cider beverages available for purchase, as well as tacos, hot dogs and cereal! Very friendly atmosphere for kids and adults.
Brian, Grace, Jordan and the rest of Coin-Ops staff always provide top of line service. Fun games along with 6 pinball machines. You should try the tacos
This is a Chattanooga staple. A haven for film and gaming enthusiasts. Incredible music always heard throughout the arcade. Great place to hang out and play games with friends and strangers alike.
Great laid back atmosphere with kids enjoying the old nostalgic arcade games. Great nachos as well. Family fun entertainment. Late hours are best to go especially if snow is in forecast to cancel school for the next day.
I have nothing to say about this place... EXCEPT GOOD THINGS!!!! the atmosphere is awesome! The retort games are awesome! The retro vibes are awesome! The beer is awesome! Who am I kidding, the place is awesome! Good on ya Coin-Op!
Seemed cool, but the bouncer/bartender changed his mind mid-visit that it wasnt all-age inclusive.
The staff was pleasant and friendly. The games were loads of fun. Its a pretty small place with not a ton of variety in the arcade games and pinball machines, but this place is well worth spending an evening just to play some games with friends or by yourself.
Kinda cramped and people camp on the Super Nintendo. Great beers and good peoples tho. Tetris is on free play which is awesome. I didnt see Mike Tysons punch out or contra, maybe next time. I like the place
This place was awesome, and incredibly fun!! They have a free game that we honestly spent almost all of our time playing (so addictive!!) and a variety of other games and things to do, plus a bar with great prices. Must-go.
Lots of fun, nice selection of beers from local brewerys. Certain times throughout the week have free games. Nice to see the owner Brian Manning the bar. Definitely a cool little hangout
Was fun a small spot but really cool and it is coin operated machines but they have an atm and a change machine! Defiantly worth the visit!
Cool arcade bar, check it out! Good game prices .50 cents for newest games is a big plus! Beers were cold and delicious! Smaller dive bar setting and cool decor, certainly check this place out!
Luckily the only bar-cade in Chattanooga doesn’t suck and is in fact pretty awesome. Cheap beer, even the good stuff. Cereal on tap. They have a projector that usually has a GameCube or N64 you can hop on, or they’ll have Star Trek playing. Killer queen free play on weekdays. And generally just nice welcoming people around. The owners are great and I’m thankful the Coin-Op exists.
This is a great place to play vintage video arcade games. Prices are extremely reasonable, some games are free! Definitely a place to check out.
Somehow I was told all the games here were free to play, which is not the case. So if you have that expectation tempered you will likely enjoy it very much. Its a little small and I wish they had more beers on tap, though there are additional bottle and can choices. After that, I dont have a single complaint. Classic console games and so many pinball machines in an arcade-occult atmosphere makes for a great evening out!
Old school games at a very fair price. Felt like a old school arcade. Location was easy to find and atmosphere not bad at all.
They had an answer for all my questions being a first time guest. Had a great date night with my girlfriend
Took a 9 and 12 year old for a fun outing. They got bored rather quickly due to the lack of variety in machines. There was one classic machine that had several Pac-Man and Gallaga titles and two street fighter style machines. Besides those and the 3 pinball machines (1 that was out of order), the kids really didnt want to try the various shooter games. Also, a single couple was on the Nintendo (cant remember if it was old school or modern system) the entire time we were there and it was surprisingly crowded for Sunday afternoon.
This place was so fun, wish they had more of these in other states!!
Some nice pinballs.. And some great old arcade games.. All really cheap to play.. Give them a visit
I had a great time at this place! Love how it has the classic games, classic counsel games, and tons of pinball options.Really good beer selections too! I couldnt decide on what I wanted to drink there. The prices where reasonable too.The people who own and operate the place really show love and passion for this place. I recommend this place for anyone who loves pinball, classic games and craft and microbrewery beers! I will be returning bargain one day!
Very cool place, a cozy dive with great games and tons of character. For sure one of my favorite spots to hang out in Chattanooga. Can’t wait to come back.
The arcade has a bar 2 rooms of pinball machines and video games. I played tetris for an hr since it was on free play. They have some pretty good pinball machines including Adams family, the munsters, and elvira mistress of the dark. Most games are $.50 game. We had a good time. No admission fee.
Gotta support local business, especially when its run with love! This place is great!
Quaint, little barcade with some snacks and good brews all for a reasonable price. Great environment.
Pinball, killer queen, console games $2 Busch beer 16oz. See ya there.
Best time I have had since 007 golden eye came out on super Nintendo
Awesome place to hang out, play some pinball and arcade games and drink some brews! Really chill atmosphere and the food is pretty tasty.
Pros: Indie feel. Some interesting pin ball and electronic games. Good for 30 minutes of entertainment. Drinks available.Cons: Small. Only about 8 pin ball games and six electronic games. I suggested to the owner that he get some 1950’s / genuine vintage games. He did not seem too interested. $.50 for each pin ball game yielded three balls. Kind of a poor entertainment value. Have been to many arcades and this one was the smallest.
Coin Op is one of my favorite hangouts in town. It has such a fun atmosphere.
Such a cool little arcade bar. Just a bit off the edge of campus. Easy parking nearby in the evening. Great selection of arcade games, pinball, and even a couple console systems. Change machine available just like the old days. No liquor here, but a decent set of beers and a pretty tasty alcoholic root beer if I say so myself. Staff was friendly. Decor is awesome. Will definitely visit again next time Im in town.
Really cool place to go. Had a good time! The hotdog was great too
Token machine was broken and only a couple of games took coins, so we were out of luck to play anything. Looked pretty cool though.
Had a great night playing Smash Bros and Nidhog II. Bartenders were extremely awesome!!
Love coming here and having a good time playing with friends.
Let me start by saying this business did look like a cool place when I first walked in. That being said I am giving this establishment a one star review because of the way I was treated by the owner.I was in Chattanooga visiting some friends, and we did some bar hoping. One of the stops was Coin-Op. We had been there for 10 minutes or so, and I was talking to patrons and the bartender (who was very nice and funny). The owner Brian came over and I introduced myself (it was very apparent he did not enjoy my presence). A little while later I was talking with another patron and someone told me from the side do not talk to them. I asked why and apologized if I said anything stupid to Brian and the patron. He then proceeded to be very RUDE and incredibly DISRESPECTFUL! At no point did I use profanity or verbally threaten anybody. I apologized again for anything I had done that might of offended someone and he said get out of my bar you idiot. I asked for my money back on the drink I just bought and he called me an idiot again. I calmly walked out and that was that.I have no idea why this happened but the owner is the most disrespectful, rude, and Ill tempered person I have ever come across.I Will never step foot in Coin-Op again.
Very cool, small, divey bar filled with old-school arcade games. Owner, Brian, is super duper nice. Super friendly staff and you can also play Nintendo for free (projected on the wall.) A great (albeit competitive!) way to make friends. Canned beer only, but a great selection!
Great classic games like pinball, N64, motoral Kombat and donkey Kong, and a full bar 18+
This quaint little cave of nostalgia has become my favorite place in Chattanooga. From the retro movie that is always playing on the combination TV/VHS player behind the counter to the TMNT machine that I inevitably spend all of my quarters playing, everything about this place sends me back to my childhood. The Sloppy Joe sliders are awesome (although everything Ive had is pretty scrumptious), the canned beer selection is stellar, and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. The owner and his staff are always welcoming, attentive, personable and do a great job of making you feel at home. If you havent checked it out, get your ass down there!
It was awesome as always. Wonderful place to hang out.
Tons of great games and beer. Bar staff is super chill.
Great atmosphere & fun games
Dave was awesome. Fun pins and Deathball!
One of the coolest bars in Chattanooga
Quite possibly my favorite place in Chattanooga period. You can find me most Saturdays on the Lord of the Rings pinball or just chilling in the couch playing SNES. If any of that appeals to you in the slightest, Go.
Pinball heaven! With beer AND hard ciders.
Arcade has a good selection. Unfortunately, the owner has been known to turn his head concerning aggrivators of sexual assault. I wish the safety was as good as the games. Cant recommend this place for women.
Absolutely amazing little bar/arcade, loved it there!
Amazing! It reminded me of my childhood...plus beer.
The best arcade bar ever
Such old skool awesomeness! AND a bar! Kool throwback to take kids (but not super young) & very fun little date spot
Cool place, good selection of beer and friendly staff. Met some cool people playing the killer queen game.
Very fun and good variety of games!
Sick spot that aint a big ass commercial barcade. I love the cozy size of the place. If youre complaining about the amount of beers that they dont have on tap then youve been brainwashed by jabronis that every bar needs 40 beers on tap. They have new and old arcade games, but obviously NBA Jam is still the dopest game of all time.
Absolutely my most favorite bar in Chattanooga if you left pinball an old car coin operated machines it is a must visit craft brew standard Brews cereal tacos I mean its just got the game World written all over it definitely an A++
Not a bad spot but the game selection is limited, more pinball tables than anything. The female bartender who waited on us was very friendly and fun. No local beers, which was a disappointment, and cans only.
This is a unique bar that fits Chattanooga very well. Friendly staff are there to chat with you as you spend your quarters wisely.
This is a great classic-game arcade. Pinball everywhere. Games arent priced high either. Very affordable games and beer. Great experience.
Great atmosphere, cheap beer, and GAMES! Its a great time every time I go. Always an awesome spot, and the staff and owner are accommodating and friendly.
A great place to play classic arcade games and pinball. They have an ATM and Quarter Machine. They even have N64 and original XBOX. There is some snacks, comfort food, and many different varieties of beer and ale.
Finally, a real arcade and a bar in downtown Chattanooga, a barcade if you will! I got to check this place out last Saturday and had a great time with a group of friends. Show up for nostalgias sake or just to mingle with others. Youll have a great time, too.
Great place to kill some time, have a beer, and play some old school arcade games. They also have an N64 and a few free play games.
Coin-Op is always a fun time and they have Killer Queen now!
Fun little bar. Games, decor, staff, its all good.
It wasnt my kind of scene.
Definitely a great place to visit play some pinball and check out all the awesome memorabilia. They also have a great selection of canned beer.
Are you a child of the 70s, 80, or 90s? Do you still seek to line up in front of an arcade game? Do you drink beer? This might just be the place for you. A quaint little bar-cade with a good beer select, great arcade games (and pinball!), and theres even Nintendo bigscreend on the wall to get your super sized Smash Brothers and Mario Cart fix.
Very fun place to play games
Awesome selection of games and beer. Great fun every time!
Crazy wild place to visit with friends or alone. Good games good food, beer, drinks. Fun time..
Awesome games. Arcade, or platform options. Beer and food too.
If you want a great game selection, great drink selection, great, outstanding bartenders, you have come to the right place. Its just like the arcades I grew up in, only now I can drink AND play video games! Dave & Busters aint got nothin on The Coin-Op.
Loved this place took me back to feeling like a teen again they have some retro games along with new pinball machines this place is great for adults as well as kids we took ours and they had a blast
Coin-Op is awesome. Its a little small, but the bartender was chill, the games were nice, and everyone was super polite. Also, Sunset Riders.
These guys are the best! Good food, cold beverages, fun times.
Bit of a seedy joint. Did not try any of the food. Games were good.
Great place to relax and play retro pinball and other arcade games.
Great environment. Need more arcade games.
A few dozen arcade machines set in a bar atmosphere. Plenty of bottled and canned beverages to choose from. Staff very friendly.
This is one of my husbands and my favorite places in Chattanooga! The owner and bartenders are kind and great to talk to. There are fun games everywhere, including tons of pinball and even an old-school machine with Galaga and PacMan. Everything is cheap to play, with a few free options such as Tetris and the games they have on consoles (N64, etc.) There are always wonderful craft beer choices and nothing is overpriced (they plan to get beer on draft but currently everything is in cans). I love the atmosphere of this place and hear they have pinball tournaments that are fantastic!
Great place to have a beer and play some pinball! Become ensnared in Brians web of self-deprecation and black humor.
I love the Coin Op! Pinball, funky art, local games, classic games, good people.
Super fun place. Bring the kids or bring the crew for fun games, food, and brews.
Lots of fun
Cured me of my E.D.
I cant tell you how this business is because its never open. Sign on the door says will be opening at 5 p.m. this evening... At 5:45 the business was still locked up tight. You would think on a Saturday evening and arcade would be open in a bustling downtown district
Cool little place to relax and game!
