Phenomenal experience at this newly opened museum. Incredible stories presented via well crafted hands on hands exhibits that integrate multimedia with traditional museum figures, artifacts, and info boards to create an amazing, intimate, patriotic experience. The volunteers are a wealth of knowledge and have amazing anecdotes to add to an already great experience. Would highly encourage any American veteran or civilian to take the time to honor our heros in such a great setting.
Beautiful well layed out museum honoring Medal of Honor Award Recipients. Covering the history of the medal. Back to the Indian Wars and all the wars and conflicts in between. Outstanding displays, the courage and noble brave acts of those shown. Should make everyone appreciate their acts of heroism. Lots of Tennessees received the MOH i didnt even know about.
Coming to the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center has been amazing! I learned so much about the history of the idea of the medal of honor. The staff are super knowledgeable and take pride in being able to go in depth with the history of the recipients, and their acts of valor. The gift shop doesnt just have trinkets, they have history books, children books about the military and government. This was an awesome surprise to see!
This is a wonderful museum and experience. The staff is so kind and quick to share information. The displays are well done and very touching. My grown sons loved it and we all learned so much.
Loved walking thru and getting to see all the great men and women who sacrificed for this country.
Amazing experience with extremely knowledgeable staff and great exhibits. An important place to visit
Displays excellent, lots of people to ask if you have any questions. Enjoyed thoroughly.
Really while done. It respects the honor of the military men and women that serviced and was honored by receiving a medal. The displays are fun and have a lot of information.
Great experience. Volunteers are very knowledgeable.
Wonderful place!! They have done a great job of telling the story of honor and sacrifice. They call it the Heritage Center and not a museum because they want it to be an inspiring example of what an American hero is and not just a building of artifacts. Honor, sacrifice, citizenship, and courage are all characteristics of a true hero. Not a sports figure or singer. They didnt put their lives on the line so you could be free. Americas true heros did. Honor them by helping unite this country once again.
This place is amazing how many people do you know that have seen the lady that has the only medal of honor issued to a woman
It was a pleasure to attend the Medal of Honor opening and meet the amazing men and women involved. The museum itself was very clean and very nicely put together. You can tell a lot of hard work and dedication was put into it! The stories will blow you away. Would definitely recommend.
An emotional journey. A salute to some of Americas greatest Heroes.
It was absolutely wonderful. Im a history major so excuse my bias, but it is something truly amazing. I went very close to closing (also covid) so I was the only one there. The staff was so amazing and had great little tid-bits about the exhibits. You could really tell that they loved what they were doing. It almost felt like I was taken under their wing for those two hours I was there. The museum is very interactive and immersive, which makes the stories so much more powerful. Its impossible to leave that place without hope for the future and a sense that you can handle anything that comes your way.
Great experience, very friendly staff, and an excellent learning opportunity for our children. We will be back!
