We love this rec center for kids classes and activities! The instructors are great, and the building is well-maintained and has all the necessary equipment and materials to provide an excellent variety and quality of recreational activities for people of all ages. The parking can be a bit tricky during peak times, particularly if there are special events or fairs happening in the rec center, so plan to arrive early and prepare to have to wait for parking or possibly find it off-site.

I have recently started coming to Carver to participate in the Soul Line Dance. I enjoy Myras professionalism, and her attentiveness towards the class!! She is FUN, and she does a wonderful job teaching the steps!!! Why oh WHY would Carver make the decision to 86 this class!?!? It is a diverse group of people, who have enjoyed coming week after week!!! Something needs to be done about this!!! Put the Soul Line Dance Class BACK on the ROSTER!!!

Ok went skating here on a Sunday. It is the smallest skating rink that exists! However, people were very nice, the skates were free, and they had all types of music. Its great for kids and a few adults

I have been attending Soul Line Dance for over a month now. I have enjoyed every moment of it Myra is an amazing instructor. I was highly disappointed, when she had to give us the news that our class maybe cancelled due to a few complaints. Well here is my complaint! I have been waiting for years for something like this to come to Charlottesville and it finally has. We have a great time, it welcoming to all, a fun environment and we have been growing leaps and bounds. If Carver decides against keeping this class. I will no longer participate in any events that are being held there and will encourage others to support.

For parents and kids, great toddler classes such as gymnastics, art, and dance with open gym play times. In a converted school building. Theres a cafe in the building for snacks as well. Walkable to the downtown mall, Midtown, and Preston road.

Great aquatic facilities and fully wheelchair accessible. The gym is good: it could use more space and more equipment (eg heavier kettlebells). The classes on offer are good but not as varied as at private gyms. Overall, excellent value for money.

I grew up in this place and I still love it. I have many fun memories here.

Great activities for adults and kids. Super nice staff. Clean bathrooms. Easy access to surrounding shops and services. Plenty of parking.

My daughter has done gymnastics at Carver this year. They have a nice gymnastics space with updated equipment. The teachers are friendly and good with kids. Their central location is also easy to get to.

Excellent, honest staff!! I actually walked out and left my iPad by accident, and one of the staff members brought it out to who happened to be my mother. You cant beat honesty!!

We love the programs here, the kids have fun and learn a lot in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fitness center is very well equipped, staff is friendly, and the local feel is a great asset. There is a strong spirit of history here. I love being a part of the coming together of diverse people and races. I know I am doing something positive for my community, while bettering myself. Thank you Charlottesville for making the investment in this community.

Great yoga classes and fitness center! A C-ville Parks and Rec pass is the best deal in town.

My daughter enjoyed it alot and make a new friend. they even swapped costumes on the Dance Floor, too funny. kids do the Darndest Things, but it was cute.

Good for a workout and nice auditoriums and basketball courts indoors of course.

Rented it for a childs birthday party. Nice location and the room was very large.

Free skate Friday nights and Sunday. Great family fun!

Great cheaper option than ACAC. It has all the machines I use and a great selection of group classes
