This place is a must for any Nascar Fan. Extremely interactive for both kids and adults. So much great history on exhibit here, so take your time and spend a few hours here walking through it all. Well worth the price of admission. There is a parking garage adjacent to the HOF so take advantage of that if you can.
Had a great time with my daughter! Was perfect for a rainy day. We spent more time then expected and as a teen she loved it...
Although I am not a follower of NASCAR, the HOF is pretty impressive. I enjoyed the historical aspects of the sport, including its founders. My Grandson loved it and took advantage of virtual racing, pitcrew activities and seeing the actual cars displayed on the progressively inclined track. My only dislike was the extra costs incurred with a few of the activities and the very expensive prices in the souvenir store. I thought that charging for pictures they take of your family upon entrance, should be at no cost...post script, I saw as many seniors there as the youngsters !
Great exhibits, well laid out, and friendly staff. Facility is well kept and maintained with pride. I was surprised to actually enjoy myself as I am not big into NASCAR.
Wonderful day at Nascar Hall of Fame. Took the Racing Insiders Tour which includes lots of outdoor activities. A full day worth of knowledge and fun. The tour guide was awesome. The Hall of Fame itself is a great choice for the wonderful collection on display and the interactive activities. Perfect location in downtown Charlotte, across the street from the Convention Center and within walking distance of most hotels in the area.
I only gave 3 stars because I’m not a NASCAR fan. However the architecture is Five stars. Beautiful building.
Absolutely incredible. Love NASCAR and The Hall! I loved it so much during the race weekend. Everything about The Hall is great!
Im not a NASCAR fan but my husband is. This was really nice they have interactive things. You actually do they stuff on pit crew like change tire and the gas can. A simulated race. You pay extra for but a Single ride Is 5$. I really liked the interactive stuff. You can also do an audio tour. I thought it was really nice.
This is an awesome place to visit. Great to either remember the past or learn about nascar through displays and interactive exhibits and experiences. You can participate as a shop crew through checker flag and flag man. Has pit crew challenge and qualifying lap simulators. Would highly recommend for the young or the old, the super fans or someone that is not a fan.
A long, long time ago, i would beg my father to take me here after church. most times it was a no, but when it was a yes, I was thrilled. had my birthday here one year, the driving games are so fun.(if they still have those Sence carona) I went there 13 times and even saw a nascar driver there. so fun and writing this brings back so many memories.
This is a great place for anyone with an interest in NASCAR. Wether you go with the guys or take the whole family. Its a great experience for all. My husband and I have been many times over the last several years. Hes very knowledgeable in everything NASCAR, not just current stats and news. He knows it all the way back to the roots. He knows people associated with the NASCAR world and was the one who got to mix the paint for Bennys car (hes very proud of that!) Today was our best experience. It is the second time weve been since we had our little one. The staff was all so kind as our little one ran around and explored the world of NASCAR, being able to interact with the touch screens, play with the track and see all the people. A special thanks to a staff member named Matt. He gave our little girl her first car (that will be cherished forever in her daddys NASCAR themed shop) not only did you make her day, you made ours. As parents your kindness goes so far. It goes past that big smile on her face. It touched us as you were so kind, took time to come over and talk with her! We will definitely be back to put our membership pass to use.
Absolutely LOVED the museum.. Great Job!!!!! Stop in and visit if you have the time.
Wow. This stop proved to be so much more than we expected! Definitely fun even for non-Nascar fans. Great activities for kids (we met the education program director while there are were blown away) ... build your own car, make your own trophy, decorate your own flag ... lots of fun stuff. Really impressive. Excellent customer service from everyone we encountered. Spotless restrooms and great food in the cafe (at a reasonable price). I would definitely add this stop to your trip.
An awesome place to visit for NASCAR fans like me and people who barely know about the sport. I loved it as soon as I walked in and enjoyed every car, exhibit and interactive booth. My favorite was the simulator and the pit stop challenge.
I just went here, its pretty awesome,i really enjoyed the simulated racing,id have to say that was my favorite part, the staff is very friendly&helpful, however i was a little dissapointed when i got to the giftshop,im a diehard Dale Sr fan&they barely had any merchandise of his,i mean its Nascar hall of fame after all rt?&Dale Sr /#3 is 1 of the biggest hall of famers in my opinion,1 of the employess told me that they dont carry much of his merchandise bcuz theresa wont allow it,i understand,i was just expecting to be able to buy some Dale stuff, other than that the gift shop is pretty cool, definately go visit this place if u are into Nascar, its a must see!very clean&everything displayed is very cool to see,i really liked the short film they show about how nascar started, that was awesome!!!#3 forever!RIP Dale sr.
Amazing place to visit educational on the history of nascarwith a small portion of dirt track history. Its a must see in charlotte!
Love going here. Always have great exhibits and the customer service is phenomenal! Plus the race viewing parties are great to go to. You get the movie experience and you get scanners to listen to the drivers too!!!
Came here on a trip with my grandpa (a NASCAR nut!), and we had a great time! The simulators were super fun, and he walked us through much of the history of the sport. I loved the split cars on the top floor that showed the differences between racing and street legal cars. Really great stuff, could spend several hours there, and Im not even a huge fan. Lots of interactive stuff, including a station where you can be a pit crew, and race others. Such a great time!
We traveled from IN to take our kids here and the staff went above and beyond to give them a great experience.
Amazing venue for an event and terrific staff! We had our event at this venue and not only was the staff extremely helpful, but the venue itself was a perfect size for our event!Prior to the event, we worked with Nathaniel (Nat) on the production/IT side of things to ensure our event had the appropriate signage. Not only did Nat help us with determining the layout for our event, but he event went above and beyond to help us with our logos/images to ensure we were well represented on every monitor (see images for examples of how amazing this turned out).We also didnt realize how many options we would have for signage and event details - making our event much more official and professional plus allowing us to easily communicate the various aspects of our event (registration, open bar area, speaker panel, etc.). Our partners/sponsors also loved the fact their logos were shown on multiple screens and looked extremely professional. The auditorium was a perfect venue for the size of audience we had and to allow intimacy while still accommodating a rather large audience. The staff during the event were also amazing, especially Kathy. She also went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed prior to the event, during the event and even after the event (even though our event went a bit longer than planned). We also had a full sit down dinner after the panel discussion and the food was terrific. When catering to an audience of this size, the food is often poor to average quality, but the Nascar Hall Of Fame did a great job putting together a number of options that were perfect for all of our audience members, including the vegans/vegetarians. Next year, we will probably consider allowing our guests to choose between more of the available options, but the food was high quality with moist, well-seasoned chicken, quality fresh vegetables, and both a chocolate cake and cheese cake worth the calories!Overall, we were very pleased with the event and we will definitely be back again.
To the people that love the Nascar cars
Great place and great people. Definitely good for people who want to learn the history of one of the best foods.
Only for true NASCAR fans. The entrance fee is pretty steep at 25 dollars. The hall of fame is cool though. The glory road is very cool to track the changes of the cars and tracks throughout history. I enjoyed being able to walk on and feel the difference of the banks of different tracks. The theater showed a very rushed and shallow movie about the history of NASCAR. The race week experience was very in depth and interactive. It could seem daunting to not NASCAR fans. I loved the history exhibit on the top floor. Full of cool exhibits and memorabilia. Hard to recommend to people based on price and lack of accessibility of the exhibits.
The was a good time for our family, lots of Nascar history and plenty of cars to look at and photograph. The simulator was fun and I recommend running through a few times. Plan on spending about 2.5 hours.
This is a great place to visit regardless if youre a NASCAR fan or not. Coming up from a family that enjoyed the old hay day of NASCAR when racing was truly racing it was a great experience! I definitely recommend giving it a whirl and all the simulators are a blast to do! Definitely get there and spend the full 2hrs the staff recommends!
Great experience, great exhibitsGreat history of Nascar
As a handicaped individual i was harassed because i cant wear a mask. Managment was rude and threatened me to have me arrested for trespassing. After i paid for largest package and i tried to conform. The whole visit i was in distress. From my asthma and anguish! It was horrible! It was constant harassment yet i rushed through and didnt enjoy at all. It was obvious that it was political from most. Down right rude at times. Yet because trip meant so much to my kids i held my temper. See as a disabled vet that has been a p.o.w and went through things i wouldnt wish on nobody. I explained this and the manager said she would give me my money back and kick us out if i didnt conform. Total discrimination! I wont be back and i wont ever recommend to anyone.
When I say I lost my mind here! I lost my mind! Ima huge nascar fan and they have everything there for you to experience nascar! The raw history of nascar and man the staff there was great! Minus one guy that thought I didnt know about the cars because I was ready to get into the simulator and race... BUT! None the less I LOVED IT! I recommend everyone to check this place out! Even if youre not into Nascar you will love it! I can go on and on but you have to experience the awesomeness of this place for yourself!
One of the best time activities in Charlotte for the kid – and the kid at heart, is the Nascar Hall of Fame. Guests depict the experience as heart-beating and insane fun. Four stories of interactive exhibits await you in this famous landmark of the new south. Nascar Hall of Fame is huge and takes a few hours to explore, but the experience is worth it.
Beautiful...If youre a Nascar fan on any level, I strongly suggest that you go to this at least once.
This place is worth every penny, I had a really fun time there every time Ive went!
Very nice staff. Very helpful and clean. Well definitely be back.
Showcasing the best of Nascars history, it is a highly recommended stop in Charlotte.
Mixed feeling on this attraction: On one hand its a must if you like Nascar and all the history around it. On the other side tickets are quiet expensive for what you get, you have some attractions, some cars and so on, but it could be a little bit less. I liked it, but you must really be a Nascar fan to enjoy all the stuff. I give it 4 stars - a real fan would give 5 stars, people who have no connection with Nascar may give only 1 star ...
Easy to forget that Nascars origin being in NC! Incredible exhibits, simulation races, and even a spot to try your hand at changing tires like a crew member!! Using drills and all. The exhibits include cars, trophies, and uniforms. Varying from older to newer cars, there is so much history at this place. You can also purchase some headphones and have a NASCAR hall of famer give you the tour around! A must visit while in Charlotte.
My experience was phenomenal, the history of each race car and the drivers with theirs team is unbelievable. Its a big museum so go with enough time you will not be disappointed.
Great time, and experience for all ages. Whole family had a great time.
Boys/men will LOVE this place! Learned a lot though... plus they have interactive racing :) But too many kids eliminate you instead of racing... / pretty well setup museum / 5 stars
I dont know much about NASCAR, but the museum was really interesting for anyone who loves cars! Lots of cool features for children.
It is amazing place. Anyone who loves racing will be so excited about this place... it is expensive but worth only if you are interested. They have cool racing simulators...
Absolutely amazing a most stop for any car fan .not only nascar but the history of racing .and for $35 per person for this kind of a experience your crazy not to
Youll love it! Staff is great! Food was just okay...the exhibits are so cool!
It’s an awesome place to know the history of car racing. You might be surprised to know that the whole racing started with a car chase between cop and alcohol seller. :)Cars movie lovers will enjoy further more because of the history around it.You do get to be in the race(in a simulator though :) ).
The cars are the stars, even if the drivers are the focus. Exhibits are interactive and engaging. The short movie is worth seeing if youre new to NASCAR.
Awesome Place for race fans. They are doing everything they can to be available to the general public.
Awesome place for the biggest fan to someone who knows nothing about NASCAR. Plenty to keep you busy for a few hours up to an all day event.
Great! Great! Great! The must go place for families with sons. I would definitely come back if I had one. My husband was so happy to touch everything and participate in the interactions. I’m a great “Cars” movie fan, so it was great to see Lightning McQueen in the real size.
Beautiful display of legendary racing history with huge and vivid displays of new and old vehicles from the outside I, you get a great view at how it all works. From the cars to the drivers to management. Very in depth and in the great City of Charlotte. Plus, the racing simulator is pretty cool!
Nascar, if you are reading this then listen to me please. I was all over your website, read it all and decided on the victory lane package. Got there and I am told no packages after 230pm. No where on any informative literature pertaining to this establishment does it say that. I was so disappointed. You need to put that in with the info and I should not have to tell you. The stimulation was boof. No way thats the same stimulation the drivers use. I got in and my paddle shifted to reverse and all I was doing was driving in backward circles. My wheel was upside down, yeah that is so realistic.
Honestly made my trip to Charlotte. Excellent variety of NASCAR cars, staff is super friendly and helpful, full of history! The simulation is also really fun, would definitely recommend.
My husband and I aren’t NASCAR (or auto racing in general) fans. However, we both enjoyed the Hall of Fame and the interactive displays. Unfortunately, not all of the displays were functioning. Don’t miss the Pit Stop and the Race Simulation. Remember to do your qualifying round (it will make the simulation must easier). Staff is very helpful and informative.
Incredible experience even for a non NASCAR super fan. Definitely take time to drive in the simulator race. Absolutely an invigorating experience.
Im a fan already, but its a must see if you are in the area, make sure you have a whole day to be able to see it all! Thx Nascar I enjoyed it!
Great race simulator and all the cars and trucks.
Kind of expensive at $34 a head to get in but if you are hard core NASCAR well worth it. If you just want souvenirs youre better off at the Charlotte Motor Speedway shop!!
Great experience for NASCAR fans! Lots artifacts and memorabilia spanning over 70 years. Staff is great. Plan on staying at least a half a day to take everything in. And the iRacing simulators are well worth it. Made you feel like a real driver, shifting and all.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame, honors drivers who have shown exceptional skill at NASCAR driving, all-time great crew chiefs and owners, broadcasters and other major contributors to competition within the sanctioning body.It has enough interactive activities to make it an enjoyable experience even if you never heard of NASCAR. It is so interactive and well thought out, the pit stop competition was a blast for everyone in our party (I will try to upload a video, its hilarious!). There were several other simulations, both hands on and computerized. All had readily available staff for explanation or assistance. The museum area was nicely dispersed with artifacts and vignettes. The third floor has the Hall of Honor, which displays the plaques and memorabilia of this years inductees, the rest of the floor was designed to take you from building a car through race day through various displays and hands-on activities. The official driving simulator is really fun! you can realize your dreams of flipping, spinning, and otherwise destroying a Sprint Cup car. You get a couple of minutes to sit in a replica of a car, and drive qualifying laps on whatever track they are using that day.Do yourself a favor and GO… I promise you will love it!
Amazing place! Great staff... And yes I won all 8 men on the race simulator! #womenatwork
WOW!!! We loved the Nascar hall of Fame!!Excellent day trip. So interesting and informative and just alot of fun!! We took my Mom for her 77th Birthday (her only wish) and we were greeted by the friendliest and sweetest group of people. My Mom got gifts from the greeters because we were celebrating her Birthday there. They actually found her throughout the day and kept giving her lil treats. That was so very special. The simulator was too much fun and my hubby, and son and I enjoyed racing each other!!! Husband won but he is a professional driver...so....he had that on us! Lol. Definitely go to spend the day!!! You will be happy you did!!!
I am not interested in nascar but I loved this place. The simulation race is definitely worth paying a few extra bucks.
Nice collection of stuff, some out of date things like deaths not updated still calling stuff Sprint Cup etc. Main complaint is tix arent cheap and parking is almost more than the tixs.
Lots to look at! Staff was very accommodating and friendly!
Nice visit. Worth the money.
Is a fun place. There are many kind of games. Your picture is showed at big screen, and you will see a lot of racing cars, include one hornet. You will know about his Nascar begin and about the greatest pilots.
Neat place to learn about NASCAR. I wish it had more about Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. Very good experience.
This place is a must for any racing fan, adrenal fan, car fan, hell... Any fan!!! Well worth the trip to Charlotte. The racing simulator was amazing. Very realistic physics.
Had a great time with the Grandson. Wonderful history of racing and the interactive activities for the kids is wonderful. Definitely will be back.
Awsome museum with a lot of interactive fun
We had a Muslim conference here. The hall is big. The place is clean and well maintained. Was a good experience
I got great experience in this place.Specially the simulator which we drove NASCAR in overall was great.Alsa there are many historical car.
There is a whole lot to do and look at!!! Will definitely be visiting again but next time we will buy the membership!!! Well worth it
If you love NASCAR you must come and see this place!
My husband and I have enjoyed our membership and Love seeing the brick we had made to commemorate his work with Nascar!!
Look it up on Google said that it was open so got hotel room to go see it when we got there found out that is closed. I will keep it a one-star rating until I maybe one day get to go back waited a long time to go there finally got the opportunity but it was actually closed thanks nascar
Dont miss the simulator. Absolutely worth.
One of the best attractions in Charlotte, NC.Well organised and can spend all day. Recommended for all ages.
Nice place because theirs a good view to look but the staffs is bit slow to serve.
First time visitor to the Nascar Hall of Fame, I was there for a symposium so there were no crowds just bunch of technology geeks. I have to say it was so cool seeing all the cars, history and the inner workings of the engines. No matter if youre a Nascar fan or not you will enjoy visiting the museum as it has been thoughtfully designed to engage everyone from small child to grumpy old men.
Cool spot for Nascar fans. I was a big fan in the mid and late 90s. Lots of history and stuff to read about. The coolest thing was the cars throughout the years on the different banks of the various tracks. There are a lot things to do for little kids, video game racing, hands on things for testing, pit crew challenges and paint your own virtual race car. I went when a school and a business of some sort was there, so it was kind of crowded. The price to get in I think was a little high for what it is. But if youre a fan of the sport it is a must go.
My class and I were just at the NASCAR hall of fame last we and we were given the best treatment from the staff and had an amazing experience. They treated us like we were investors and made the time we had available with them worthwhile. They first started by introducing themselves and telling us what they do which made the whole experience a lot better and personal. The staff also gave us time to look around the museum and see all of the interesting things they had on display. They also made sure we had a fun time and would remember the time we spent with them. They gave us the opportunity to race cars and be part of a pit crew which gave the whole experience more of a fun outlook. Finally, when we were running out of the time they made sure to tell us about the CRVA and about what they do and how insane it is. Once they realized we didn’t have much time before we had to leave they made sure to give us lunch ideas so we could make it to our next destination on time. Overall the staff was incredible while making sure we understood what they do and being friendly the whole time.
Well worth a stop. You don’t have to be a NASCAR super fan to enjoy this place.
A fantastic experience for all ages. The cleanliness and friendliness of staff made this an highly enjoyable experience. Everything relating to NASCAR is explained and shown from the history to how a NASCAR team works. You can also try out the NASCAR simulators which is an awesome experience. It is easy to spend 3-4 hours here.
My wife and I were looking for something different to do with our fourteen year old son and this was great!!! He had fun from the time we walked through the front doors. From the lunch to the simulators to the hear shop at the end...even the pit stop challenge we participated in. This may just be an annual event for us to see whats new from year to year!!
Great experience. A lot of history to look and interact with. Cant wait to come back.
Was lucky enough to have some time to visit this after a work trip. Very cool even if you are not a NASCAR fan. The museum is very interactive and plenty to see to spend a couple of hours. That being said it’s not cheap. Admission is pricey and there are add on cost as well.
I have been there before I love Nascar
Heads up the parking was expensive. The experience was fantastic and interactive. We loved challenging each other through the interactive experiences throughout. The hall of fame room was excellent with each driver outlined. You were actually able to pick up the phone and listen to the driver themselves as well as other speak about them. We had such a great experience here. Ps the staff here was excellent and clearly loved being there.
Fun museum very interactive for the students that i brought they loved it
A lot to see. NASCAR history, memorabilia, and a ton of interactive things to do. Well worth the stop.
Not a fan if NASCAR at all, but visiting Charlotte for work and decided Id go since it was across the street from my hotel. The museum is immaculate. So clean, interactive and very well laid out. The staff was awesome, friendly and helpful. Do the simulator it was so much fun. Definitely a lot of history and it is well displayed. Would definitely come back.
We enjoyed our visit here. Lots of cool cars to see and interesting information to read and listen to. The simulation is really just like a typical racing video game. We upgraded our passes for that, but its nothing special. The pit crew experience is fun, but also frustrating because it didnt work right half the time or the clock would keep running after we finished. The first time we went, they had a kids room with some fun activities, but that was taken out recently.
We always follow nascar races on weekends spot was natural to want to go to the martinsburg races. Arriving at the races we were so excited to be in the place where so many races have been won and champions made. However, this two day race was historic for many reasons because we like many others lost our total value of $600 in tickets + hotel and gas because of a freak snow storm that blew threw and shut the nascar event down- the first in many years!!!!!! . Unfortunately, in cases like this, nascars plan to attend the next week day race did not help us as we had to return for work. This would be my only hang up. We’ll catch the race another time but meanwhile the museum is awesome! What a wonderful tribute to a well loved sport! Having the displays, photos and memorabilia archived for viewing is awesome and so needed. Absolutely love this.
Fun place and something for everyone. Great place to bring the family
Amazing place for all racing fans!
Great experience. I was a little hesitant about going. But the drinks were good, we had fun with the activities. My team enjoyed every moment.
