I simply love this place! Tuesdays are my all about me day! I come alone! No grandkids, No husband, no friends! Im in one of my main seats, B or C end seat, my Popcorn and Nachos, although Im not too happy about the jalapenos are no longer there, I have my warm blanket so I can get snuggly, I need to start bringing a neck rest pillow...man Im just in my peaceful happy place!! Nothing else matters on Tuesdays once I arrive! Literally Nothing! Cell phone is completely OFF, I dare not let anyone disturb me about anything! Im so grateful that Im a premier stubs member, and the cost is $5! Theres a young manager, hes light skin with a beautiful long ponytail, and petite in size, he goes above and beyond to make my Tues. great! He always says yes maam, asks how I liked my movie, food, etc., I want to give him a nice gift card for Christmas because he genuinely cares for the customers!! I will be buying the package to see 3 movies a week as soon as I can afford it!
22 theatre complex, meaning that they offer a wide array of movies in a wide array of formats including regular, 3D and Imax. The regular seats are very spacious and the theatre is tilted meaning that nobody in front of you will be in your way.The hairs recline so you can sit comfortably and enjoy your movie. The prices at the concession stand are rather ezpensice but I suppose thats somewhat expected at the movies.
Love the comfort of the seats and the fact that they recline. Socially distanced seating and space between customers on line. Cleaning items available for sanitizing. Masks required in lobby and theater (unless eating).
I was hesitant to go see a movie now a days. I was pleasantly surprised how they cleaned and respected social distancing. I did not feel threatened but these days standards. I think I will go see another movie this week.
Came in today(10/29/20)..worst experience yet. Came in and right as I was pulling my mask up the rude curly headed woman said “Yea, pull your mask up”. Went to go to the bathroom and she says “do you have tickets?” I say “no, I need to use the restroom first” and she lets me know that you HAVE to have tickets before even using the bathroom.
Great place to watch movies! I have been here ever since i was little and they still never stop trying to impress the audience. I went to see the new Sonic movie, and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend that you watch this with your family!
Pretty great experience overall. Amazing reclining seats, great food choices, a bar and easy check in. Theater was clean when we got in for our show. The only thing was the lobby was very dirty after our show. So if they can just work more on cleaning the lobby up after the messy customers then it would be a 5 star!! ️
Clean theater, I had minimal staff exposure. Everyone had a smile on their face, so the atmosphere felt great. Props for being open on Christmas. My sister had a chair that wasnt reclining, and a maintenance worker had it fixed before the movie even started. Inside the theater the seats were comfortable, lighting was good and the speakers sounded great. Overall a good experience.
Nice theater. The bar was closed, so that was a disappointment. Please consider serving beer after 12noon. The snacks were yummy and freshly prepared. Everything is too expensive. Please consider a matinee combo for $20 that includes a ticket, small popcorn and drink. The seats are roomy and comfortable. Reclining seats are a movie going requirement for me now...sorry Studio Movie Grill. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. If you started serving alcohol after 12noon and brought food to the seats this would be the best theater in south Charlotte.
Really great and nice clean environment. Bathrooms also very clean and nice. Seats are comfy and reclines. Variety of drink choices! Only critique is dont come here if you expect to watch and dine in like some AMC theatres and its pickup food service online didnt work and theres no one to bring you the food or drinks at this one nor a place to put food. Also not as many choices like the others.
The movie was great but the popcorn that I paid $10 for tasted like chemicals and my slushy did as well
Come here often and generally no issues at all. I recommend buying tickets in advance or at the kiosk. Bartenders are always pleasant (bring an ID for every person drinking) and staff is always rotating but typically provide good service at the snack counter. Hot or cooked foods take longer so make sure you have enough time before your movie. Seats are showing signs of wear and tear. Occasionally reclining features don’t work, which is disappointing given the cost per ticket and assigned seating.
Unfortunately it smelled like burnt pop corn when we left The theater and the app or something malfunctioned cauaing us to cancel and purchase our ticket are location other than that. Well kept, polite service. Everything was clearly labeled and easy to find. Clean area, great size seats. Way in the back of the plaza but still fine. Wouldnt mind going back.
We LOVE this theater! When you go to another theater that doesnt have the comfy seats with foot rest that lifts and the liftable middle arm so you can be closer to your partner, you will never go back to the old-fashioned theater chairs. Their menu is great for a theater, and the popcorn is never over-salted. It always seems to be relatively clean.
Great theatre especially since its been renovated with the recliner seats. You can get beer and food before in advance when you book your tickets. Good customer service and clean too.
This was our first ever and last ever visit to this location. Not only was this location overwhelmingly dirty, an employee of this location ignored me then tried to get security to kick me and my family out when I asked for a manager. As I always do, I ordered the tickets online ahead of time. This was good as the outside ticket window was closed and the outside machines where in disrepair and dirty. Upon entering the front door there was a very disorganized line blocking the only entrance. Finally I heard someone call out asking if anyone already had tickets. I politely walked over with my family and they scanned my phone. Then they instructed us tho basically shove our way through the blockage of the line to get in instead of just opening the ribbon where they scanned our tickets. Anywho we proceed to the concession stand area and enter the premier member line and in no time it is our turn. I highly recommend amc stud, alist, anything that gets you premier status. We order our concessions and are given the wrong items. I helped the cashier fix things. Then we proceeded to the drink area where there are 3 coca cola freestyle machines of which only 1 was working or not empty. The 1 machine that was working had the majority of its drinks greyed out so you couldnt choose them. As well there was so much ice built up you couldnt fit a cup in the slot to get a drink. The person ahead of me asked the worker standing near if he could fix it so people could get there drinks. The work either shrugged his shoulders or said something unintelligible. When it was my turn I scraped enough ice out of the machine so I could get my drinks as there was no workers around at that time to help. Then we proceeded to get our popcorn butter and salt, straws, etc. We realized there was no popcorn salt in the shakers. I go over to a worker and ask him if he could please get us some popcorn salt or tell me where to go get some. He said nothing. I assumed maybe he didnt hear me as he had the earpiece that they where. So I got closer to him and ask again if he could please either point me in the right direction or get the salt for us. He said nothing continuing to look at the floor. So this time I leaned over a little a waived my hand toward the floor and said excuse me incase he just didnt see me or hear me. He looks up and loudly says WHAT DO YOU WANT? I again said I just needed popcorn salt and asked if he could either get it or point me to where to get it. He simply goes back to looking at the floor and sweeping. So at this point I know he is purposely ignoring me for whatever reason. I asked him for his name so I could report him and he again just ignored me. So I told him I would go get a manager since he couldnt do his job and wanted to be an a$$. Yes, I know I could have refrained from using a curse word, no excuse, just the explanation that sometimes frustration gets the best of us. My son said something to him that I couldnt hear and he said something to the effect of you dont want me to come over there little boy or something like that. I then told him if he said anything to my son again I would lay him out. I then proceeded to the concessions and asked one of the workers the name of the worker I had a problem with and fir a manager. They called for a manager, however they refused to give me the workers name. I found it strange they can work there with no name badge and no way to identify them if they do something bad. Security came over with the worker before the manager made it over. The worker told security this dude has got to go then he looked at me and said you got to go. I replied that the worker had to go because I wasnt going anywhere. As o was explaining to security what transpired the worker kept trying to interrupt. I asked the worker to please allow me to talk uninterrupted. When the manager arrived she asked the worker to go somewhere in the back because he would stop talking. I explained the whole thing. Security left. The manager apologized for what happened got me the popcorn salt.
One of my favorite theatres in Charlotte. I love this AMC in particular because its not attached to a mall, they have plenty of theatres with tons of showings, and its generally pretty quiet when I watch movies. Concessions and drinks are expensive as to be expected but everything else is on point! Its usually nice and clean with the reasonable exception of weekend nights. :) Def in my top 3 for the city.
This place is great. I usually come on Sunday mornings. The seats truly recline and you can almost lay it all the way down.
Fresh food. Great seating. Great 3D experience. Place a bit scruffy looking. Need a constant clean up...pop corn in many carpet areas, container Lid dispenser filthy, sticky. Bathroom was in great shape.
You practically do everything tor yourself.
We attended a 9:30 movie on Saturday night. The entire place was a mess. The ladies restroom had no toilet paper in most of the stalls and there was trash everywhere. Beware that if you see a late movie you will not be able to get your free refills on large popcorn and sodas toward the end of your movie. I can understand not having popcorn but why shut down the self dispensing soda machines? I gave three stars because the seats are very comfortable and the concession stand employees were attentive and friendly. When I pay higher ticket prices I expect a cleaner theater and better service.
Kind of a sad looking theatre on the outside but the inside is nice. Clean bathrooms and comfy theatre seats. If theres nobody in the ticket booth outside you have to go inside and buy your tickets; standing outside shouting helloooooo doesnt do any good. And yes, we actually saw people doing this.
Nice, clean. But some senior citizen sat in my prepaid seat. Didnt have the heart to make him move. And since no one came for other seat I dealt with it. I like AMC.
My soda was flat!! But I was reimbursed with no hesitation. Armed officer is always there so thats good to know. Seats are comfy.
My child and l enjoyed the movie frozen2 . We like the reclining chairs. They were so comfortable I almost went to sleep. The movie employees were very nice and helpful.
Love this theater, great seats, I always buy tickets and snacks online, my seats are reserved and food ready when I get there, no waiting in line! I had an issue today though, they only had one beverage station open which was a hassle. My go to theater
This is a good theater with lots of movie choices. The recliners are very comfortable. The only problem I have with this location is they never seem to have enough staff, especially at the concession stand.
Theater was nice and clean. Concessions left everything to be desired. 6 drink machines and 2 of them had ice. Popcorn was mostly kernels. Lot of money with marginal return.
Could use more cleaning. The floors were dirty and so were the bathroom. Multi stalls were out of toilet paper. But the movie was great and the seats were comfortable.
Very nice theatres. Roomy, you are able to choose your seating. Chairs recline. I always have a good experience at AMC 22
This place is a must when going to see a movie. I love the recliner seats and the fact that you can reserve them. Anytime I want to see a movie I’ve always gone here. It’s a fairly clean facility with delicious food and a bar. I love coming here with my friends and family.
Marissa, a manager at this location, was absolutely wonderful. She upsaled, offered AMC Stub membership, which I got just because of her and her customer service whereas I normally decline. If I could give her 6 stars I would. I cant say the same about her employee. Tall black dude with glasses...He was mediocre which is why he has no name that I can recall. Ill be back when I think she is at work.
Went to see Lupin the Third @7:15pm 10.21.2020No one in the theatre was quiet, lots of shouting talkingNo staff on the floor whatsoeverNo one answering any callsEnded up just leaving mid movieDont spend your money here
It is so wonderful that they now include hearing impaired headsets and CC devices. I can finally enjoy movie theaters again. Hearing aids and high noises through loud speakers dont work lol. And if you do the app you can order tickets and snacks to have ready for pickup.
Glad the theater open again, miss going there
AMC seems to be falling apart today..... Only 1 drink machine working (and it is only doing coke!), no fried food available, only 2 people working the counter...and its pretty busy today At least today all 4 if our seats work.. that hasnt been the case for our last several movies here. The theater seems to be going downhill lately. We come to 3-9 movies a month. This has always been our favorite theater, but we may need to find another one. I find this very sad.
Great experience. The kiosks outside do not work. They only had one person selling tickets. The guy who takes your tickets is a sweetheart.
Never have an issue here. I enjoy coming to this theater. in and out just like that. the seats are also pretty comfy!!
This place could use a little TLC (paint carpet etc). Otherwise, they have a pleasant staff & atmosphere.
The staff is really polite and helpful. The theaters are always clean as well as the bathrooms and lobby! Our favorite place to go watch movies!!
This theater was amazing!! Recliner seats made the experience out of this world!! We saw It Chapter 2 Scary but a great movie!! Highly recommend this theater
Have recently been to 2 different movies in the last few weeks. Enjoyed the movie and the recliner chair. Both times none of the ice machines were empty. Many folks were upset.
First time at this theater and I hope it won’t be this bad next time... concession area is a wreck. Tiles are coming up, water is everywhere, and they turned off all the drink machines before the movie was even over. The popcorn I got was all crumbs and half burnt. The theater seat I had wasn’t plugged in so I had to hop over the seat and plug them back in... they really should be secured being in a walk way like that. You can tell they had been stepped on several times... the new employee was nice but had no clue what she was doing.. they didn’t service the a list line first so it was quicker to just get in the regular line. The movie was good and the seats were comfy (after I plugged them in) but that’s all the good I can really say about this place.
Great movie theater! One of my favorite theaters in Charlotte. Located near places to eat and a shopping center.
Way too loud and the bass was so strong I almost had to leave. Other than that, the seating was excellent as well as the theatre access. I loved the reclining Xtra large chairs!
I couldnt concentrate on my movie because the base and volume was so extremely loud in a neighboring theater all we felt were vibrations rattling our seats. Very, very annoying! Either turn the base down or insulate the theater better. My movie shouldnt be disrupted by another.
Theater was clean with hand sanitizer & wipes everywhere
This is our go to movie theater. Comfortable seats, great sound, big screens! The only ding is the insane concession prices but they are all like that.
AMC does it up nice. The seats are all super comfy, with two arm tests per seat. The seats also recline nearly all the way.Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a mix up with a ticket (my own fault), and they helped me out.AMC Carolina Pavilion is definitely my theater of choice.
We came here for a valentines date. There was reserved seating which is nice so you know where you are seating. However, I feel there should be more education behind this for clients seeing that there were families in front of us arguing over seats claiming they did not know about reservations. The seats are super comfortable and I loved the theatre room. Very well kept and chairs recline HOWEVER, the ones that my date and I sat in were both broken. I did not agree with the no weapons signs at the door and the feel in being disarmed HOWEVER! I do applaud this location for having armed security in return. Overall I enjoyed my experience and wish our chairs had worked.
When we arrived at the theater we stopped by the Concession stand. I bought the special one large popcorn and two large drinks. We then went to theater 6 found two really good seats. Were there eating popcorn and enjoying the experience. I wanted a refill on popcorn so I rushed to the concession stand . There was a line with just one person working. I missed about 15 minutes of the movie . I ask the usher a the front for the manager. The manager came out about 5 minutes later. And I explained to him what happened and he said he would give me one movie pass . I explained I dont go to movie theaters alone I needed two passes. He said no because theyre looking at the movie. When he brought the ticket back I calmly tore the ticket up and repeated what I said about going to the movies alone. And walked away. He said as I was walking away that I was being disrespectful and had to go. The police politely asked me to leave without a refund on tickets nor popcorn and drinks. Im waiting to hear from the district manager today is August 6. The movie experience happened on July 30.
This is probably the trashiest move theatre I have ever been to. Starting with the outside of the theatre - this place looks like its been condemned. The outside of the building itself is filthy and the ground surrounding the building... Trash. Trash everywhere. This carries over into the lobby and hallways as there is just straw trash and popcorn absolutely everywhere. The one good thing is the seats were extremely comfortable. Leather recliners always make for a good movie seat.To be honest I think this theatre is poorly managed. The seats are nice, the bathrooms are upgraded but everything is just dirty... Take some pride in your theatre!
This is my go-to theater. I’ve been over 50 times easily in three years. In the last month, I’ve been probably 6 times just to see Downton Abbey. What makes this theater 5-star worthy is the comfortable declining chairs and how I can always depend on them to have all the films I want to see available.
Very nice professional staff very helpful and the theaters have nice comfortable reclining seats. A great family day at the movies.
It had been a while since I’ve been here. Went on a super busy day so the soda machine was pretty much in disarray. No ice, out of various flavors. It was a hot mess.
My favorite theater!! You choose the seating and the seats are very comfortable with plenty of wiggle room. There is room for wheelchairs in the theater and in the bathroom. Plus for a night out with no kids there is a bar!
Usually a great experience but the hvac system must have been acting up, or thats what I will tell my self I asked twice to get the heat turned on because it had to been in the low 50 in that theater. On a good note the Adams family movie was really good.
Excellent theater experience. Purchased tickets and picked seats online. Comfy! Great movie. Easy in & out. Highly recommend.
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road. Time grabs you by the wrist directs where you to go. So take the best of this task a know is why? Its not a answer but a lesson learnt in time. Oorah.
Very clean. Fast lines. Only issue is I believe there needs to be alot more lightning in the parking lot. It definitely would feel more safe espically on nights were there is No one at the front ticket window and you have to go in for your tickets.
Nice experience. Tip: If your seats arent working, tell BEFORE the movie starts, otherwise they cant do anything. Cheers!
AMC stubs is awesome, but this theatre just isnt managed well. Half the time their slushies are out of service, the bar is missing key components to make the few drinks they can, and they shut down most concessions before the 10 oclock movies even start. (Sitting in the lobby at 9:30 and they barely even have popcorn....) Dont get me wrong, the recliners are awesome. But the service is highly lacking. Tonight I stood up at the counter to get a popcorn refill for 10 minutes while the guy stared at me. I thought maybe he wasnt supposed to be working the popcorn, but then someone else walked up and he helped them. I had to get a different person to help me. As much as that popcorn costs, I expect much better service. All in all, great movies, good theatre, poor service.
I was very disappointed with the customer service after I was wrongly told by security that I was in the wrong seat and had the wrong ticket.I never received an apology for their rush to judge without checking.
I loved everything about this theater. I mainly came here for the bistro style hot food. My 1st time EVER trying chicken and Waffles and I must say it was GREAT! The seating was nice and comfortable along with the recliner lazy boy style automatic chairs. The visual and sound quality was very loud almost as if I was actually apart of the movie. I loved the experience. Food is a little expensive but well worth the cost in my opinion. Will be going back soon.
I enjoyed Just Mercy with Michael B Jordan. I do not receive a movie stub as s receipt o for my purchase for the movie today.
We visited the movies last Saturday! Was a great movie but the concession area was filthy. Popcorn spilled everywhere, drinks spilled all over place! Trash was overflowing. All soda machines were out of ice. No napkins, asked concessions lady if I could have some napkin she said we don’t keep any up here why don’t you check the other side.
Not a bad place, should have gotten my tickets earlier. The line was a little long, only 1 person at ticket counter! Went between 3-4 PM Friday not bad. Seats were comfortable and big. Recliner of course is always good. Clean and I would return.
The recent update to this chain owned theater brought it up to par and the experience is much better. However, the nachos are still awful and it could be much cleaner.
Good, clean but slow at times when they dont have a ticket checker on duty. Once when the butter dispenser was empty a worker was informed but brushed it off like yeah okay and when checked in an hour it was still empty. Both machines, a bit annoying.
Really do enjoy going to this AMC theater, especially being able to know where Ill be sitting ahead of time
Good theater. Bad service. The ticket taker, a black guy in a wheelchair was really rude to me and didnt seem to want to be there---so maybe he shouldnt. But the movie was great in 3D, the seats were comfortable, and the kids did smile.. With a new ticket taker, I may return.
Visiting from out of town—back home we have multiple large AMC theaters that have all been converted to large recliners with online seat selection. This theater was a pretty awful experience from the outset. As others have mentioned, the exterior is old and filthy with black stains down the front and garbage all over the parking lot. Inside wasn’t much better with wrappers and debris all over the floor. Concessions were a mess—out of order drink and ICEE machines, missing straws, cup lids and napkins. The men’s room Dyson hand dryers, the machines that are supposed to promote a more sanitary experience, had mold growing on them! Seats were comfortable but the movie was 20 minutes late starting with no explanation from the theater. We usually seek out AMC Theaters because of the ease of purchasing tickets, the ability to reserve seats, a pretty diverse concession menu and clean, comfortable seats and theaters. I cannot recommended this particular location at all.
As my sons chauffeur, I spend more time than I prefer waiting in my car. I was waiting to pick him and a friend up from the movies and needed to use the bathroom. The management their kindly told me that they didnt have public restrooms, and that I should go to Target, for the nearest restroom. They said I needed a movie ticket for their bathroom. Im not sure if they are inundated with parents needing to use the facilities at 10 pm, or if people go out of their way to use their bathrooms, but I found this unusual and disappointing.Next time I wait outside a theater for my son, it wont be an AMC.
Super comfy reclinable chairs. Probably cheaper to bring in your own snacks, but what they have tastes good!
Really cool theater with leather chairs. (My Girlfriend said the ladies room needs some serious attention)...
Concession line too long/slow and theater was not cleaned prior to our movie showing. On the bright side....it wasnt the WORST case scenario.
Very helpful staff! Clean and friendly. They make the movie experience fun for everyoneI would recommend this place to anyone. The one thing I would say is they need to invest some money on updating the outside entrance.
The actual theatre was very nice, surround sound and reclining seats. We attended an 8:00 PM show. I withheld one star because outside the entrance was dirty enough to be noticed. Another star withheld because the updated womans restroom ended up having one handicap stall door with no lock, another handicap stall door was barely still attached, multiple other stalls needed cleaning. When I leave a movie to use the facilities, I dont want to look thru 6 of the 10 stalls just to find a clean seat.
I prefer this movie theater over any other in charlotte, nc. Theres a nice touch to reservations for movie seats, cleanliness, and not one time in 3 years have i even heard of them having technical difficulties. Good operations, great management.
So, Saturday Feb 15th I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with the manger. She was very rude and did not help. I purchased my tickets through perksforwork and when I got to the theatre a lady with a scanner asked me if I had my tickets and I told her yes. she scanned them and told me to go in the theatre. I was with my son and we were going to see Sonic at 5pm When I was in there people kept asking me to get out their seat so of course confused I went to the front. This was my first time ever going here. I am not from this area so I did not know seats were assigned, which is fine. But when I went the lady who scanned my ticket told me they sat my child in E and myself in D. My son is 4 years old, there no reason for us to be separated. So I went to the Guest Services desk as she asked me and shoed the manager what happened. She then proceeded to tell me I was lying and that I didnt buy a ticket when I did. I showed her the ticket I purchased and she told me that it wasnt valid. Obviously at this point being called a liar I was upset. She then asked me for a confirmation number, I advised her that it was trough work for 5th time and that I do not have access to that email. She told me to go to my job and get the email..... So then I just asked her to give me a refund so I could go to a later show. She refused said I was lying, so I got the person that scanned my ticket and she said it did scan and showed her the confirmation on her device. She still told me no and that I would have to sit separate from my 4 year old. Mind you I was also carrying my NEWBORN daughter lugging her around and no one seamed to want to help. I had to purchase another ticket and go to another location. All this was done in front my kids and obviously my 4year old son, was upset and they pretty much ruined his whole experience. The worst service I have ever experienced. I went through the same place for my ticket (perks for work) and bought another one and went to the Park Terrace 6. Which was not only cleaner but had better service.
Theater itself wasnt too bad but the experience as a whole left a lot to be desired. The concession area was filthy. Our large popcorn was nothing but little particles of popcorn. One drink machine was off and the other two out of almost every flavor and my drink ended up being disgusting. The floor was horrible and covered with food and drink as well as had loss tiles. People in the theater were loud. One guy looked to be videoing the film and some chick kept turning on the flashlight on her phone and shinning it around. A parent and a teenage kid got into an argument that scared my son. Id rather pay more and have a better experience then return to this theater.
The place has great seating and a lot of options for food. I like the pizza and the self service drink machines. You can almost always get a seat. The bar is great with a very friendly bar tender. As with almost all major theatres the concession prices are way above sky hi. I like the place a lot though. However, my main concern is with the staff. They never seem to have enough people and they all have one speed, and that is slower than a tortoise. They never speed up no matter how many people are in line. If a manager can be seen when the lines are long they rarely come and help. The service is friendly, but they need fires set under their butts.
Really great movie theater, make sure you buy tickets 5 days before if you plan on watching one of those great movies, they stack up pretty fast, also having the assigned seats are the best, try seating in the back for the best spots!
Great seats! I love how they recline. Bring a blanket though; the theater is freezing!
This cinema is disgusting. Stains and food all over the concession area and floor, the bathrooms dont look like theyve been cleaned, and the theater, at least the specific one I was in, had food and bugs on the seats. My fiancee said that there were areas for feminine products in the stalls, but that it was overflowing and practically touching her. We were in town visiting my sister, so Im grateful that we dont have to go here regularly. I definitely cant wait to go back to our regular AMC in Raleigh.
Love this place. Nice and clean. Comfortable seating. Great employees and discount matinees.
My actual movie experience was enjoyable. Very nice reclining seats, good lighting, and sound. What wasnt enjoyable was the amount of trash surrounding the theater. Parking lot and ticket area were covered in cigarette butts and trash. Inside, the lobby floor was covered in popcorn and trash. Trash cans inside the theater had also not been dumped for quite sometime since they were running over into the floor. This would be a very decent theater to go to again if they start cleaning up the place.
