Andrew is dedicated to his students, accommodating and patient. A fun spot to learn and meet cool people
Andrew is a patient, knowledgeable teacher. My daughter and I went for a pottery session and enjoyed the experience very much. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see what it’s like to turn pottery. The finished pieces are going to be fun to use for years to come. Thanks Andrew!
I had to come back to edit my review. I had contacted the owner after receiving his reply to reach out to him for a refund. I contacted him by phone, and there was no way to even leave a voicemail, so I emailed him. He never responded. My belief is that his attempts at sincere offers of redemption by offering refunds and free classes to those that post negative reviews are only an attempt to boost his negative ratings. He took full payment for classes from me after I was only able to participate in two classes. He changed the time of the class after I signed up, making it very difficult for me to be there, then I had injured my neck at the class by working on the wheel. I dont blame him for that....however I now need neck surgery and I cannot continue with the class. He has kept my money with no refund coming.
Pottery Central is a great place to learn and practice pottery. Andrew is passionate about his art and very welcoming in his studio. Even the other students are eager to help each other. A very friendly environment.
Had a Birthday Pottery here and Andrew and his staff were amazing. None of us knew what we were doing... all 9 of us 1st timers but by the end of the class you could say we mastered the basics. Very intimate setting and wonderful staff. Cant wait to visit again soon.
Disorganized, unstructured and disappointing experience. I went for months and seldom received instruction despite being eager to learn. Owner seemed annoyed at questions and was more than likely drinking. Spoke to a colleague who had the exact same experience. I encourage others to go elsewhere.
Great time being able to learn and make your own pottery. Staff was fun and welcoming! Will come again.
I had just moved to Charlotte and was looking to reconnect with my artsy side. Pottery Central was just the right place for me! Its been a long time since Ive seen clay so Andrew was very accommodating and supportive in helping me remember the basics. The studio has a very nice and relaxed feel. Perfect atmosphere for getting creative. Looking forward for another 8 weeks of fun!
Andrew and Kendall were really good with the lesson, assistance and the questions. It was a fun experience.
The owner, Andrew, is very personable and greatly cares about his craft. He makes learning fun and helps you out from throwing a pot, to triming it, bisque firing, glazing then final fire. He is also knowledgeable about hand building and other pottery techniques.
Run by thieves.
