I’ve been to over 30 skate Parks and I got to tell you this is probably in my top 3 Amazing !! I know what you’re thinking but they charge covered however it’s only a few dollars it’s practically a situation you should be throwing your wallet at them before they figure out how cool the park is

My son and I where visiting Charleston SC area together for the first time. My son likes to skateboarding and wanted to try a park here. This park is excellent and Lilly a member of the staff, was friendly and very helpful to my son with all his purchases. And to all the other skaters who enjoyed his led wheels light show, I will attach the link here so anybody wanting them can order some. They come in all different colors. Cool skatepark! Bowls, rails, small ramps, larger transitions. Many different age ranges present, so look out for the little guys. Very inexpensive. Make sure to at least bring a helmet. They are for rent, if you dont have one. Skate shop inside also. Small charge for just watching. Fun to go on a nice day!

Fun, nice place for skating, clean and people are very nice. Overall a wonderful place to go. My first time was great and I will definitely come back to SK8 Charleston.

Amazing park there’s just one thing WHY IS THERE NO MINI RAMP so there’s a pro bowl semi pro bowl but no classic mini ramp. I just thing that’s annoying

Really good park.Wish I didn’t need to wear a helmet tho, I understand that it’s a private park and they don’t want to have cases. But I wish if you were above 18 you didn’t need to wear one. But very solid park and everyone is very nice.

Took my pre teen nephew here who is visiting the Carolinas and is a skater, he was floored & amazed by almost everything thing here. He said Charleston is lucky to have such an establishment.

Strict policies regarding bike day and skate day, should rename the park to Extreme sports of Charleston and lift all the stupid rules about whats aloud in the park on what day.

My son and I ride bikes here every Tuesday. Check it out. Its a fun family atmosphere.

I love this park so much and would never have traded it for the world. It’s a great park that has an intermediate bowl, snake run, pro bowl and an entire street course. There are essentially a whole bunch of sections to the park like the one with the granite ledge, bank, euro gap, round rail, stair set. There’s another section with the bump to bar, pyramid and hip. That’s what I like about this park.

I believe this would of been a great place to ride, but they are too bigoted to encourage other action sports such as scootering and roller blading. I dont understand why there is so much discrimination for scooter riders. Would love to ride here if WE were included.

Nice open place with hubbas, ramps, bowls and rails. Nice skate shop and small service food court. Since its owned and run by the city of Charleston its very inexpensive to skate, but you must wear a helmet.

Everyone is super nice that works here and the people are awesome to skate with no matter any level of skill you have. the food is kinda pricey ans so are the drinks. they should add a bigger street part to equal out the 3 bowls and the big ramps. i love it here and it is just an overall great place to have fun. i went here a while back and a guy named AJ was helping me learn a new trick and i learned it and i was so happy.

Best place for going hardcore and flowing around bowls

I can’t rate it that much because no scooters. Really! If you allowed scooters, you would have so many more people. I myself am a scooter rider and have looked to see there aren’t any good parks. If they would allow scooters that would be amazing.

The hours stink, but the skate space is good. In SC, we need early hours to survive the summer heat!! Open at sun up please!! I love the skateshop and concessions. Need some misting fans too!!

Amazing facility! The flow of the park is unmatched on the East Coast. the concrete is perfect and the mix of pool coping and steel coping is nothing short of a dream.

Took my nephew from Kansas City here he had a great time friendly people you have to pay a dollar to watch but there is shaded seating areas and recently they started putting up sails Shade Sails above the picnic tables overall great place

The best skatepark in the State

My children were novices. The staff not only helped them understand the sport, but took time to explain the different boards, wheels, etc. My 5 year old daughter was inspired and encouraged by the older skaters! She taught herself to kick push for the 1st time and refused to give up. Great park! Skate on!

Brought my twins- they don’t allow stunt scooters. Major disappointment.Get with the program.

My son loves BMX Tuesdays! The sunset view there cannot be beat and all of the employees are super nice!

Super nice park...skate 6 days out of the week 1 day for bmx(Tuesday). Thats a bummer but I guess better than nothing. Please dont ever allow scooters in. You will regret it if you do.

The place is nice and clean, the staff were nice and polite. Just wish you didnt have to pay to be a spectator and th he upper viewing deck needs umbrellas or some way to provide shade.

Ive been here a few times over the past month, but thats because I ride bmx and they only have one day for bmx which is lame. Thats why I rated it at 4 stars, everything else is great if they would have at least one more day where bikes could come, Id give 5 stars.

Very good staff! And a super fun park.

Park is perfect but this is the only skate park that does Bmx and skating separately. Doesnt make sense. We sign waivers stating that our injuries is on us, so why not just have it all together as one. Instead of just bmx on Tuesday.

Awsome like sk8 boarders were prohibited and had to fight against stigma to be able to skate. So i do not understand how sk8ers can hold back scooter riders doing the same that was done to them...seems like a long road ahead and one i am looking forward to. My 12 year is throwing flips, flair, grinds, abd transfers all with flow and courtesy of riders lines...Grow out of your bigotry like we all did with skateboards.

One of the best skate parks ive skated on! It would be perfect if there were less people at it though. My recommendation is if you arent skating, stay off the course for everyones safety.

I Really Great Skate Park

I am personally a scooter rider and I sometimes bmx. I waited months for this park to open here to find out that scooters arent aloud at all, and bike are only aloud on Tuesdays. Tell me why you put almost 5mil into a park and only let skateboarders ride. Realize how big scooters are now today. You woukd have another mabey 200 people to the park thats money your losing and it looks bad on your park for not allowing it. Your excuses for scooters and bikes are invalid... saying a scooter rider cant ride a bowl.. only thing scooters cant ride in is dirt.. we can go where ever. There isnt a specific ramp, bowl, rail, or ledge that we need. Saying that skateboarders ride at a faster or slower pace then scooters... we all have the same bones reds bearings we all go the same speed and do similar tricks.. the speed or pace shouldnt matter if we all follow basic skatepark rules. Wait till some one finishes a line and then go.. look out for people and dont snake. Trucks from a skateboards do more damage then a scooter or pegs from a bike.. Realize that scooter wheels are made from poly urethane wich is rubber.. bmx tires are also rubber.. skateboard wheels are hard plastic scratching up your park!!

No scooters? Only bikes, skateboards, roller skates and blades. They would attract so many more kids if they allowed scooters

The park is very large and has lots different obstacles for tricks. The entrance fee is reasonable, but the helmet rental fee is a bit outrageous in comparison.
