We loved this place! We have stayed in Bluegreen resorts for years and this stay was a just as exceptional as the rest! We will be back! This was our first time in a studio, but it was just as nice.we stayed on the 3rd floor. The view was awesome! The music for High Cotton was so nice! The bakery across the street is delicious and the New York style pizza is great too!

I had a great time at the lodge alley Inn. The people that work there are the best. The gentleman that help with your bags they are the best The Loft that I stayed in was very comfortable. The only suggestion I have is the TV reception needs to be improved. Other than that great place hope I get a chance to come back thank you all so much.

Cute place but noisy hallways. The door doesnt seal out the noise very well. Didnt get much sleep since being awoken at 5am from what sounded like a cart rolling around in the halls. But, it was the construction going on next door. Then intermittent banging. Not really the Lodges fault but still didnt get much sleep. The location is great. Walking distance to so much sightseeing and bars.

Well, we loved our vacation but our accommodations were definitely not what were used to with Bluegreen. The staff was all nice and the maintenance people were too. The lobby bathrooms we were going to use while waiting for our room to be ready were DISGUSTING. The bathrooms by the preview center were even worse, one stall was out of order and the other one stank of urine and literally had poop all over the toilet.Although our unit was updated, it was dirty and it was missing some essentials weve come to expect from our other Bluegreen experiences (or: dish soap, dishwasher tabs, laundry basket, paper towels and measuring cups.) The floors had white dust (maybe from drywall) all over and when cleaning the dining area, I swept up cereal and crumbs...we hadnt eaten anything yet.The closet is HUGE but with very few hangers. The bathroom was tiny and there was nowhere to hang towels or swimsuits. Unfortunately, our view was a brick wall but it was a pretty quiet area. The courtyard was a nice area to relax at night. There are 2 tiny, dirty washing machines for the entire complex. Although we loved the area we probably wont visit again, at least not as Bluegreen owners.

Our room was so cozy with the exposed brick, hardwood floors and fireplace. It has giant windows that go to the ceiling and overlook E Bay St. Convenient to the market for shopping nightlife and dining. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the lack of restaurant options within a block of the hotel. If they were med to high priced restaurants they required reservations but dont do TOGO orders! The hotel restaurant was a little too pricey for us with small children. We settled. ...DO NOT SETTLE! Order at your own risk at the pizza place directly across the street. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting in your car to drive to a restaurant instead of risking the pizza place food. The food is garbage and they are severely over priced!

The Lodge Alley Inn in Charleston is a great place to stay when in Charleston. It is in the middle of everything in Charleston and is in convenient walking distance to just about everything you need to get to. I like that there is a big courtyard in the middle to to sit down and relax in the space with plenty of chairs and tables and a fountain. This place is clean and well maintained and I have always had a a great experience every time I have visited here. I like that High Cotton is connected as it makes it very easy to get to and have a great meal a few steps away, Overall this is an awesome hotel and I look forward to coming back many times.

This hotel has an excellent downtown location and is a collection of old and renovated buildings around a courtyard. Really nice, almost elegant. The staff was attentive and helpful. Valet parking is a must, as there is no parking lot onsite. Our 3rd floor condo unit had beautiful hardwood floors and 2 small balconies overlooking the courtyard.

Quaint qualitative comfort with excellent cuisine downstairs at High Cotton. Extremely convenient to dozens of restaurants and shops as well as Waterfront Park. Sit on the pier and watch boats, tour boats, ships and cruise ships or walk The Market to find unique gift items including handmade grass baskets. Some nearby restaurants are Amen Street, Hooked, Magnolias, Carmellas Dessert Bar, Fleet Landing Restaurant and Bar, Charleston Crab House, and more. Ride the DASH Green line bus over to King and Meeting Street for even more great food. DASH has the Green, Orange, and Purple lines for free bus transportation that criss crosses the peninsula. Catch a water taxi at Waterfront Park to Patriots Point, Fort Sumter, or the SC Aquarium. Take a tour of the historic homes and churches, or stroll the waterfront Battery area. Take a 20 minute Uber ride to Folly Beach or Isle of Palms. The only thing you wont have enough of is time.

Absolutely LOVE this resort!! The staff is friendly, love not having to look for parking. I stayed here about 15 years ago and it was great. In the original buildings, no room is the same. The room we had was a massive second story unit in which the master bedroom had two balconies that faced the courtyard. I love leaving the balcony doors open to listen to the water dancing in the fountain. It just lulled me to sleep. The location is amazing. This is one of the few vacation club resorts that is right in a city, and not just in city but the historic district of a city. If you came to Charleston on vacation and didnt stay at the Lodge Alley Inn, you would have to stay elsewhere and then drive here because this is where the tourist sites are. Its right by Rainbow Row, Market Street and your just a block away from the water.

As Blue green owners, this is another one of our favorite resorts. Although it doesnt have the amenities as others do, the location more than makes up for it. Smack in the middle of downtown, you are steps away from the Slave Market, restaurants, bars, shops, and so much more. This resort has a lot of history behind it as well. A very clean resort and the staff if great.

This our usual stop when we come to Charleston. I dont know if regular people can come to this location or not to be honest, as this is a Bluegreen property. You may only be able to stay here if youre an owner or guest of an owner, but its still a great location. The rooms are nice, and while some may be older than others, they all have a nice feel too them. Its located centrally to most things in downtown, and in many cases you dont need to drive to get to any downtown locations from it. My only issue would be with the price of parking, but I assume thats just par for the course in Charleston.

We have been here in Charleston a few times and this place is right downtown on E Bay St.Covered Parking lot a block away. They do not have a restaurant in this resort but there are a few ones a couple of blocks away, kind of pricey near the straw market. Lots of seafood restaurants around. The Fleets Landing seafood restaurant is delicious but a bit more pricey. Went also to Heimans downtown, they had great crab dip with crackers for a appetizer. The Lodge Alley is a nice home base, even if you get a studio, has a separate sitting area with the TV. No kitchen but has a small ref and a microwave . We will be back !!
