We love Joe Riley field, It has very nice views of Charleston and the river front. We love to come watch the Riverdogs play couple times a year when they play Augusta its a nice outing for everyone. Admission is priced well enough you can take the whole family and friends. They also did a great fireworks show after the game last time that was well worth it.
What a great ball park. We sat behind home plate. Crowd involvement was solid. Activities for kids abound making this park very family friendly. Easy access for parking as well as getting into and out of the park. If you sit on the bleachers seats bring a cushion. I loved the shops and concessions setups...concessions were a bit pricey though. This park is for anyone who loves the sport. I thoroughly had a good time and look forward to going back. Also very cool that professional scouts are there watching these kids play.
It wouldn’t be fair of me to talk about the skill of the team that I saw a play… That’s not really what this type of review were supposed to be about! Plus, it’s been nearly 2 years since I was here, but shortly the fact that I still think about the experience I had here must tell you something! The stadium is absolutely beautiful, with amenities for every member of the family. The surrounding area is gorgeous, parking is ample, and the food selection… Well, it’s out of this world for what you expect at a minor league ballpark! The “homewrecker“ hotdog, the boozy milkshake (I think it was a beer milkshake?), The between innings entertainment… And, quite frankly, the super impressive speed with which the grounds crew works in the event of a rain delay! I can’t wait to get back here one day.
Always a good time when we go. This time we had family come in that had a disability and so we got seats in the handicap section. All of the gentlemen working those areas are sooo amazing! Helpful, fun, humorous and accommodating!!!! Made the experience that much better! From the people at the ticket line, to the employees walking around to the players and of course, lets not forget Charlie! Everyone seems to like what they do! Oh and to make it even better, this time we had NO mosquitoes or gnats! That was great! The food lines could use a little attention but if thats my biggest complaint we are doing great!
Nothing like a minor league baseball game. Great view of the marsh off the 1st base line side of field. Good food at okay prices. Wish the team was doing a bit better. I highly recommend skipping Spud Light water beer and spend a little bit more for greatness at the Palmetto brewery stand near the main gate.
Our first RiverDogs game was Opening Night and we had a great time! Loved all the fanfare and confetti. I was glad to see vegetarian options in the concessions, I had a black bean burger which was very good. Heard they are adding vegan dogs and Beyond sausages! The RiverDogs speciality Bellyitcher Ale by Rusty Bull is a delicious craft beer option.
Great ballpark! Fun place for adults and kids
Fun place to watch a game
The RiverDogs have a beautiful stadium that is easy to access with plenty of parking nearby. The food and drink prices are reasonable for a baseball game and the staff is very courteous.
Good team and great atmosphere. The people are friendly, the vendors are plentiful and seats are affordable. Do yourself a favor and get front row seats along 1st or 3rd base at least once! The grounds crew and security are full of information and even gave my niece a foul ball! There’s always an event or special going on to take advantage of. Don’t miss out!
Really nice and big stadium. Went with my girlfriend and her father to a Riverdogs game, was an amazing day.
The Riley Park Club is a nice venue for events and to watch baseball games.
So much fun for so little money!!! Great seats for $12. Beautiful park. Great food and drink options that won’t bankrupt you if you bring a family. I love watching minor league baseball because the players are young and hungry and trying with every inning to move up to the next level. Fireworks on July 3rd were best I have ever seen anywhere!! Love our Dogs and the Joe!!
Bill Murrays Minor League team, the Charleston RiverDogs! A feeder team to the New York Yankees.A great place to catch a local baseball game when in Charleston. Quintessential baseball experience with hotdogs, ice cold pint sized beer in cans and varied giveaways and entertainment themes for each game such as fireworks to Motown music!General admission tickets $7 which can be booked online.
Had an amazing time celebrating my sons 12th birthday with friends and family! Friday fireworks were awesome as always!
This is an awesome Ballpark.. it doesnt matter if you like baseball or not. (I dont), this is a great place to go and enjoy the evening. Great food.. plenty of drinks and lots of fun. If you are in the Charleston area and are looking for a great evening.. Look and see if there is a home game.. You will not be disappointed.
Ive been here for games in the past, and always had a great time, youre very up close and personal to the players if you so choose. Today I went there for the Spoletto finale. I had a great time listening and talking with new found friends. Before I left, I made my way down onto the field for a fantastic, right up front view of the band. To top off the evening, they had a killer fireworks display...
Fun, fun, fun. Always love rooting the RiverDogs!
Loved the food, atmosphere, and beautiful ballpark! Funnel cake fries, Mac N cheese BBQ with collard greens, and you gotta try the River Dog!
Always fun to take the family to the ballpark. This was our first time at the Joe. We were impressed with how much there was to do. It will take multiple trips to see and do everything. The only way it could have been better was if the Dogs had won!
This is a must rather youre new, visiting or a native. This fun, family friendly atmosphere is a place to enjoy and relax during the summer. The best place to sit in on the first base side to avoid the sun. Ive gone here for years and enjoyed every game! The funny this is Im not that in to baseball but theres nothing like the RiverDogs game during the summer! Lots of parking, most of it you have to pay. Be careful not to park in areas that could get you in trouble. Lots of food to eat and drinks to buy. There is an ATM to withdraw money from. Usually theres multiple people walking around with cold beers and peanuts (trust me, you will hear them). On some occasions you can see the owner, Bill Murray, hanging out at the game! There is a store to buy memorabilia and such as well. You can also get a birthday, anniversary, etc. posted on the board during the game!
Super fun! You’ll see the game no matter the seating! And it’s not expensive, also on Monday they have awesome deals!!
We make great memories every year going to the games! Great family environment, awesome food vendors with local food and drinks, and theyre very invested in the community. We enjoy having a local team that helps us create wonderful memories for our family!
Sunday funday is on the one. Free food for kids, free parking and the kids got to run tje bases. The Dogs lost but we had a great family fun time!!
We took our granddaughter and she had a great time!
Ive been coming to The Joe since I was a kid and it never gets old. The keep nightly themes up to date and the firework displays on Friday nights are wonderful. Its always a good time here.
How can you beat the ever so enchanting allure of a live baseball game. The overpriced food, drinks and peanuts. Its truly magical
Get out to a game!! You will have a Good time, my only complaint is the price of concessions. Snacks hot dogs and Beer. Alcohol understably. Expensive but Hot Dogs for $8 is pretty ridiculous.
Tonight was Helen McGuckin night. She gives a two star review which said “drove by” (probably didn’t even go in to watch a game) and is treated like royalty. Completely ridiculous! I am currently serving 17 years active duty in the Navy and did my re-enlistment here, in which had to pay to do it and yet they still wouldn’t let me throw out the first pitch. I watched this lady get anything and everything, including throwing out the first pitch! Very classy RiverDogs!
Love going to the games here! Lots of great food, baseball and we enjoy the fireworks too!
Had wonderful time. Plenty to eat and drink. My son had blast cannot wait to go back.
The Riverdogs have really hit a home run with this park. Other teams should steal some of the fun things the Riverdogs do. The bathrooms smelled a little foul one time when I was there. I pitched the maintenance crew an idea about what to do about that and the bathrooms havent struck out for me since. Infield fly rule, base on balls.
Family night is where it’s at! However, they did close shop rather early in the game and we only got one of our free meals. So get your meals first!
I brought residents from a retirement community here and we had a blast. They accommodated for their walkers and had an area all set up for us to sit.
It was the first home game of this season for the Riverdogs. We had a blast!
Awesome night at the Dogs game! Waiting on Dorian!
Best local entertainment. If you are lucky, an inebriated Bill Murray will show up.
Great environment for a wonderful baseball game. Everyone was so friendly.
Nice venue! We went in May for the first time during military appreciation day. 100 degrees that day ughhh! Get seats on the first base side if you have a 6pm start. We sat just to the left of home plate and had to leave early because of the direct sun. Lesson learned.
We never complained absolutely love baseball here. Lots of family fun. Plenty to do for all ages, even your pets!
Been 3 times now with my Husband & our Baby. Its clean, safe, interactive with the crowd, with giveaways & the fireworks were better than we experienced at the Aquarium this year on the 4th of July!
Well-designed park with amazing views!
Always a great time! Love the Riverdogs 5K!!!
Belly Icher Ale! Yes... Sir... And pretty southern bells love me a lil Dixie Darling
Fabulous Fourth of July fireworks and $1 beer and hotdogs a day early!!Racous sell out crowd made for some traffic issues.
Great time #muschealthnight
Great Time!
Best place ever! Big thanks to Nate Kurant for a pre-match interview:)
Great time at game. Lightning and thunder all around but no rain to speak of
We had a great time! Tickets are reasonable just dont get your tickets on the visitors side if you have kids and it is evening time...the sun is harsh! The security going in to the park makes you feel safe!
This is a fantastic stadium. The price for seats is affordable and the food and beverages are also diverse and priced well. They do have a bag check so remember that if you roll up right before the game starts - the line moves, just a lot slower than no bags. Additionally, if its a hot day game, there is minimal shade - youll roast so make sure you hydrate! The kids zone is very entertaining for the young kids and the staff is almost always very friendly. Grab a game and a beer!
Nicest minor league park youll ever visit!
Always a good time. Id probably suggest some clear cut lines (like the ones near the pharmacy in a bigger store that can be moved) in some way or another for education day and other child heavy days. That way the lines will have direction and there would still be space to walk around.
Fun game. Pricey. $6 hotdogs? Yikes. $9 beers? Ouch. But $8 for a Mac and cheese bowl topped with pork BBQ and collards was pretty good and decently priced.
Great family atmosphere! Shade on the home team side!
So much fun. A wonderful place to see a baseball game
Great time within breaking the bank. Some good seats to be had in the grand stands.
It is one of the most thrilling and exciting minor league ballparks you can go to. Also, if you are there near Sunset, go behind the first base grandstand and look out to the west and you will have one of most beautiful views youve ever seen.
My soon to be 3 year old has a love for baseball that I can not believe. Even though the hill gets a bit overwhelming with kids tunning around bc their kids dont care, it gives the kids who DO care about the game, the kids who have a dream a closer view at the players and the game. And not to mention Eleanor! That woman is absolutely amazing. She does an amzing job keeping things in the best order possible and is so knowledgeable about the game and players. Shes great. Just great! Ive added pictures from a few times of us going. Every night is something special. Its more then just a game. And I love the memories we are creating because of the riverdogs! Thank you
Great place to the fun and enjoys events
Fun game atmosphere for our kids. We were celebrating our nieces college graduation with other family and friends. Had a great time.
This is a special piece of Charleston. Yankees A affiliate. Snag a seat by the dugout and watch out for those foul balls!
SO MUCH fun attending games here! If you are a cheapskate (like me) you can usually find cheaper beer at the far side from the entrance.
Nice stadium and a good value. The Riverdogs staff is friendly the police makes for a safe family environment. The reason for the low rating is concessions stand. The staff was unfriendly and acted like they were doing us a favor.
A true taste of Charleston. As the city we locals knew and loved has been covered by development and people from Ohio, a night at this stadium makes you forget about it all.
Nice stadium. Fun crowd. River dogs crushed the opposition.
Great ballpark with a one of a kind view. Its always a fun time when I take in a game.
Love supporting our local sports teams. I used to go to the games when they were the Royals and the Rainbows. Always a good time at the Joe.
Great Family Fun
Great stadium in a beautiful location. Lots of food and drink options. Stay along right field line if you have kids.
Beautiful stadium with amazing marsh views. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Games are always fun.
Last night I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of the brand new Riley Park Club. Its a really cool new event venue where I could see a lot of corporate events, sales meetings, rehearsal dinners, and receptions taking place! With one view showcasing the RiverDogs Stadium and the other view showcasing the beautiful Lowcountry marsh, this place will appeal to sports fans and non sports fans alike. As one of Charlestons premier event photographers, Im very excited about this new venue and highly recommend checking it out!
Good minor league baseball, cheap parking, great seats, and Thirsty Thursdays - hard to beat!
We had a great time at the artists show and sale.
Good stadium, minor league A team. There is always a game in between half innings. Different food choices some locally influenced. If you go to any double or single A game watch for foul balls!!!
Rained out at the RiverDogs and still had the most amazing time
Great night at the ballpark with the kids. We will definitely go again, thats high praise from Red Sox fans!
Tonight was my first time going to a game and I absolutely loved it. It was so much for the kids to do and the food was awesome!
This is one of the better minor league stadiums I have been to. Definitely has the best concourse area of the minor league stadiums that I have been to!
Fun ballpark right on the tidal basin. Combine AA baseball with a 25 oz.. Shocktop and a sauerkraut and chow chow hot dog, and you are in for a good time...
Amenities are overpriced, but thats expected, just like when you go to the movies! However it is a beautiful place to visit! Dont really care for baseball, myself, it was really just for a social gathering! The water beyond the field was a nice view!
Decent stadium, high prices on cold beer and no in between inning shenanigans that youd expect from a minor league game. Pelicans games are more fun.
Anticipated the July 4th fireworks (on the 3rd but whos counting). Unfortunately rain cut our visit short. Little kids and rain/wind/lightning dont mix. Well plan a Friday night to come back and catch a good game and fireworks.
Love it! We always have the best time as a family coming to watch the RiverDogs. We’ve made it a family tradition
I love the RIVERDOGS!!!
Absolute family fun. Hey, theres baseball too!!
Great place, easy to get to, very clean and comfortable great food and drink vending prices and of coarse... Baseball
Always a Great time with the family at the Riverdogs game. And can always count on David Aylor Law Firm for all your legal help
Very fun to watch ball games at. Great seating. All around good place to go
One of my familys favorite! We love our nights at The Joe!
