Great place for those who have an eclectic style. Owners are great to go the extra mile for their customers.
I love it there. So many beautiful things and I was able to purchase something I really wanted there, a beautiful cut glass pitcher and glasses! The owner is the nicest man too. I enjoyed chatting with him as well. He makes one feel welcome and would like people to keep coming back. Good store!!
Loved it!! Very nice pieces of mid century modern furniture and a lovely collection of Blenko glass as well!!
I really enjoy shopping in this store. One of the owners, Chuck, is a wonderful person, is very knowledgable and when he isnt busy, doesnt mind answering any questions you may have. The Purple Moon has online auctions that give everyone a chance to bid, win, meet each other and have something wonderful from the past. Should you ever need to hire an estate sale professional or just want to look around a really neat collection of retro and antique items, I highly urge you to visit The Purple Moon, meet Chuck and walk around the store.
Cool retro shopping experience
Chuck and Connie handle all of their collections and pieces with thoughtful care and interest. Their expertise and depth of knowledge on a wide variety of collectibles, furniture, accessories, art and artifacts is appreciated and invaluable to the public and collectors.

Went in to see if they would be interested in the 1966 Craft Associates chair I had. The woman who greeted me was friendly; I asked if the owner were there and told her what I wanted. She said they usually did this by appointment; I said I could come back if need be. Just a minute, she said, and went back to speak to one of the owners who was there. I browsed around for a couple of minutes. The owner came out and, without so much as a Hello barked at me, What do you have? I described what I had. What kind of chair, she growled, dining room or living room? Living room, I said, and repeated that it was made by Craft Associates of Wilkes-Barre, PA; she seemed not to know what I was talking about. Is it in excellent condition? she challenged. Its in fair condition, I said, being honest, the upholstery needs a little help. I wouldnt be a bit interested, she snapped, we dont do upholstery. Thanks for your kindness, I said, then asked why she was so hostile. Im not hostile, she snapped back, hostilely, why dont you try the store around the corner; maybe theyre not hostile. Final grade for this establishment: F-.
The purple moon is a gorgeous local vintage furniture and decor shop.
