This is a hidden gem in Chapel Hill, plenty of parking, a nice rose garden and a 2.5 mile greenway. We enjoy taking our bikes to ride and then have a picnic lunch. Can be crowded at times, but never a problem.My only complaint is the bathrooms are closed “due to Covid”, with is just wrong. All the other parks that we use have open bathrooms and they are kept clean.

Wonderful Rose Garden! We enjoyed our visit!One time we visited though we were taken back by how lousy the smell was after being treated.

I wish I had more stars to give! It was such a large variety of roses, each plant groomed perfectly and the fragrance was overwhelming. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around and seeing such variety the beautiful roses.Its also not at all a small garden. There is much to see and it was worth the trip.

One of my favorite places to visit in Chapel Hill.

This is a great free public rose garden. I know and work with the guy who tends it and hes one of the best rose growers in the area. They have a good collection of all the classic roses and some of the older and harder to find varieties. They even have a bed for minis, something you dont often see. Its not too big so you can see and enjoy it all within an hour or two but it really is a beautiful little public gem tucked away in chapel hill. Best times to see it are early-may and October (height of blooming) but youll enjoy it any time during the growing season.
