First night opening after quarantine but you can definitely feel they are being cautious by checking peoples temperatures and handing out hand sanitizer all the time. One of my favorite places in Champaign.

Was here for Dads weekend with my daughter...cleaner than a lot of college bars Ive been in for sure. Because of the event, drinks were pretty inexpensive. My daughter picked the drinks so they were not really my style...whats in a Lunchbox anyway?!?

Went on a Tuesday evening (4:30pm), not crowded. Ordered a Bama Burger (Double)+coleslaw and California Burger+fries.Burgers were great. Preferred Bama burger over California. The onions on the Bama burger were raw... wish they were grilled.Fries are scrumptious. Could eat a whole plate of them. Coleslaw was good, more of a vinegar based coleslaw which I preferred over a coleslaw smothered in mayo.They have ketchup, mustard, tabasco regular, tabasco green jalepeno, and A1 steak sauce. Wish they had a creamier hot sauce like Cholula or Valentina.Soda is included in the price so dont worry about having to pay extra or getting just water.

OMG! In LOVE with the burgers and the loaded fries! The loaded fries were yummy! Came to visit here looking to lease a building to open my new business and stopped in, glad I did it was so worth it! Waitress was awesome, took care of me and checked on me and my husband throughout our meal. We will be back. Meanwhile I took a picture of my food and bragged on my Facebook page.

Pretty good food for an average price. Definitely worth waiting to eat there on their 1/2 price burger days, keeps the price down significantly.

Food is good, nice wait staff. Its one of the campus bars where locals and students seem equally welcome.

Service is usually pretty quick. A lot of space. Theres a dance floor area with a bar or a more casual setting area if dancing isnt for you. They also have an outdoor area thats nice when its warmer out. Fun place to go out to especially if dj is good.

For a college bar, this place has pretty spectacular food. This review is going to be based solely on their food. Their burgers are a lot better than most other places, and if you go when they have specials on burgers, they can be as low as $5. The fries here are amazing as they are twice fried for extra crispiness. Their fried pickles are amazing and this is one of the few places in town that serves them. Being a bar, it can be extremely crowded.

10/10 burgers. Half off on weekends too.

In my college years, Joe’s was the first and last place that we would go to on a weekday or weekend night. The atmosphere, crowd, food, and drinks, are everything you can ask for. With their new outside addition, the place has become a much more amazing place to hang out. Beer garden is great for a nice night out or to catch some games while enjoying the weather, food, and drinks.“If you’re awake, you might as well be at Joes!”

Burgers are surprisingly good, and the physical set up is cool. Love the outdoor space.

This place has great food and service. Their floors may be sticky at times but on a casual night out or a raver party, both exoeriences can be pleasant and enjoyable. The draft beer and burgers arent the best but its better than most campustown bars. Would recommend coming here if you like dancing on stripper poles!

Highly underrated bar. More people should be coming here for their phat drinks, baja blasts, and orange juice and beer pitchers. Love karaoke nights and their addition of the outdoor balcony.

Only been here for half-priced burgers on Tuesday/Thursday, but its been great so far. I cant say anything about other aspects of this place, though.Buy a drink and one of the many tasty burgers and it comes to about $6.50. Its also more than I can comfortably eat, so thats nice. The fries are quite tasty, as well.

The only reason I ever eat here is the half-off burgers on Tuesday and Thursday. The burgers are over-priced otherwise. They are adequate burgers, but nothing special. The special burgers usually have a lot of toppings, which makes sense for a bar that caters to undergraduates. This is definitely an undergrad bar, so grad students may want to get burgers to go.

For a college bar its nice. Average pub food with good drink prices. Used to be fun but kind of bunk now

Meh...supposedly known for their burgers so I ordered a classic cheeseburger, was not impressed, very mediocre. Typical college dive bar ambience, with your typical college kid staff that make sure you know that they have better things to do than provide customer service.

Its a bar typically for undergraduates but they also have good lunch deals on burgers during the week.

Great place to go for lunch. Every Tues./Thurs./Sat. Burgers are half price. The food is amazing for the cost. They have almost every kind of topping available and even have vegetarian options.I do have to say that if the food wasnt half price, Joes would be a little on the high end of the price to food quality ratio.

Staff tremendously outgoing and willing to serve you. Never had a bad experience here. All for the non menu items, and you will not be disappointed.

Joes has the best dance floor of any campus bar! If you want to get down then head to Joes and go to the back room on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, they have a gorgeous balcony with lights and sometimes host a mechanical bull!

The burgers are great (much more so on half priced days). Great options all around. Only reason for 4 stars is service can get slow sometimes, especially when its packed.

Oh Joes. Its a solid enough bar but you come here for the Joes experience. The fights, the drunks using the stripper pole on the dance floor, and all the photos of famous people that have been here before. Either an ok place to start your night or the absolute best place to finish it.The night hasnt really started until there is a cop car at Joes.I quote that with love.

I went for lunch. The pricing is fair and the food was decent and the service was adequate. We were not consuming alcohol at lunch, but it is a typical college bar, so my guess is they focus on the night crowds and drinking.

Great place in downtown Champaign! Far enough away from the U of I that we could avoid the crowds, but only a few minutes away from campus by car. They have a great outdoor patio and are extremely DOG-FRIENDLY. (Seriously, our server wanted to hang out with our dog). We had - and recommend - the cheese sticks, Joe Burger, Black Bean Burger, and quesadillas. OK, the quesadillas were mostly for our dog - but we tried them and liked them. Excellent beer selection with many choices.

Joes has some of the best burgers in Campustown. Plus its much less crowded than everywhere else during noontime. A true hidden jewel for your lunch break.

Joes is the perfect place to dance on the weekends and get 1/2 price burgers during select weekdays. The dancefloor here is unmatched.

One of the worst bars on campus. The place gets super crowded and the music is deafening. If you like not being able to move, having drinks spilled on you, and watching underage girls pole dance, this is the place for you.

Burgers are great and there is a wide selection to pick from. The kids are loud and annoying, but hey, this is a college town so that is to be expected.

The day shift crew is great especially those making the food. I wouldnt dare go there in the evening hours though because of the crowds.

Food was very underwhelming. Dry burgers with no seasoning. In my group there were about 6 burgers and nobody really liked them even during a BOGO deal.

Nothing fancy - a bar, 2 pool tables, and a dance floor. But memories were had here! Joes is a staple of Green St. and the college of U of I. They play decent techno and dance music on the weekends, but they can also be a hit and miss at times. The service is fast, but make sure to tip the bartenders so they will remember you the next time you order a drink. Its a college bar, so expect drunken frat boys every now and then.

$5 burgers! These are pretty decent burgers for a cheap price on Tues/Thurs/Sat.

Food was alright, but the menu lacks variety. Our waitress clearly couldnt care less about service. She never greeted us, and we had to ask multiple times for plates. We were served our food before we had cutlery and when we asked for it, we were left waiting while she gave another table their check and boxed up their meal.

We had a super fun time here celebrating a 21st!
