Nice park to have a picnic

The park is clean, has covered picnic areas with attached grills. Theres equipment for kids to have fun with and plenty of places for more sporting activities. The road is safe and a good place to walk. My only real complaint are the restrooms, last time I had to use it there were no stall doors.

They really need more picnic tables. Plenty of shelters with tables but usually full. Theres plenty of shade. Just need some more tables. Also need a walking and bike area so people are not always in the roadway.

A beautiful well maintained Park in historic Centralia Illinois. One of the great draws of the park is locomotive 2500 of the Illinois Central railroad and its accompanying caboose. There is also a memorial there that is dedicated to the lives of Illinois Central employees that were lost during world war II and other memorials to other railroad employees and their dedication to the ICRR. Although I could not find any markers indicating such, it is important to note that the caboose behind the locomotive was actually built in the Centralia shops and was one of thousands of cars that was constructed in Centralia for the Illinois Central railroad and roamed our country for many years.The men and women who worked in the car shops and constructed these cars deserve to be remembered as some of the unsung heroes of the transportation industry and I hope that you just pause and remember the contributions they and their families made that yet continue to enrich all our lives.

Always a good time when have your kids. Could use updated an more for kids to do.

Great place for family time!

Clean, safe, family friendly. Nearby shopping and fast food. Playground, nice public pool, tennis court, ball field, sand volleyball. The circular 1 mile one-way paved road is great for walking or bikes. Large beautifully maintained historic city park. Check out the old locomotive on display.

Love this park so quiet and love the canary

Its been a nice clean park for everyone to enjoy.

They helped me adopt a wonderful home for my Boxer Titus when i was in the hospital. However the hospital was bigus from beginning and very sadly i had to give my dog up because of my parents. Looking to come there and view the dogs soon.

Clean park. Lots of things to play on for kids, plenty of room for bike riders, walking, and jogging. Skate park available also. Tennis courts, volleyball court, baseball field

Loved seeing the old Train. Beautiful restoration of it. Its a good park. Has restrooms (closed in winter), also 2 older fighters from the United States Air Force. (Memorial). I think there is a tennis court, and a small play ground for kids. Lots of room to park and rest or take a walk around and stretch the legs. You gotta see it at least once in a lifetime.

Nice place to take your kids an pets, spend the day or a few hours for a walk or just play in the PARK.

Beautiful place has amazing play equipment for children if there was a place you would want to bring tour children for free for a day of fun, this would be one of the places suggested for doing so. Great views and a lot of fun. Nice trail for walking and exercising as well.

Field could be kept up a lot better

A nice park for families with small kids. There is a pool here, and a nice paved road that many use as a walking trail.

Very nice they have a bike rout through it and a side walk lots of park equipment there is actually a bathroom sometimes its locked and recently the added new equipment there and they have handycap swings to.

My son loves the planes and trains!!

I wish they would get the recycle rubber mulch instead of that nasty sand.

Skateboard park is nice. Metal ramps with composite wood skating surface. Slant to box to quarter.

Me and my family watched fireworks on the 4th of July here and went to the carnival that was nearby to our sitting spot. Plus we ate funnel cakes and drank lemon shakeups.
