Club was pretty nice, door lady was rude as can be towards this white male. Continually made rude comments toward me as we checked in then tried to aggravate me by telling my wife the membership stays with the lady, regardless of how long we have been married and we were five hours from home....just seemed a bit biased, not sure if it was because of my skin color or my gender ! Either way, we will never return, I got the message she was sending

Nice people, nice and well organized club. Maybe it was the night we attended, it was pretty mild. Kudos to the staff- they were great. Only complaints are the cost- super expensive compared to the West Coast, and we thought it was strange how often the DJ used an airhorn during the music.

I love the experience overall. I’ve been a member for a longggg time & I must say it’s changed. Was much better back in the day. When I first started going everyone mingled with everyone...now it’s cliques that more or less keep to themselves.Even the owner Vicki is NOT friendly or welcoming. It now seems more like a place that is concerned more about the revenue!They still have contest, but I had conversations with a few members that won prizes or trips and gave yet to get ANY information regarding vouchers. It’s been almost a year now we won & still NOTHING. We talked to other members that won a contest for a vacation as well a few months ago & have not received anything & they also shared when they reached out to Vicki regarding age was NASTY and did not want to be bothered! We feel if their going to advertise something they should honor that.People come and I’m sure have an ok experience but they don’t know the old Tabu. We have actually been researching to find other places like this in the area to visit, because coming here now is just not the same!!!! If we’re going to spend the amount of money as we do...could least have a better experience...

My wife and I visited this establishment for the first time last night. The staff and people attending the event were very helpful and friendly. The place was clean and very upscale in comparison to other clubs weve visited. We enjoyed the experience so much this is now our goto place. We both found it exhilarating!

Me and my boyfriend visited this place a few times. We had a nice time . Friendly people.Place needs a total face lift. It is very outdated. DJ plays terrible music and have bad attitude.

My first time was amazing, me and my man had a GOOD time, the vibe was cool & they hold your liquor for you at the bar . It was a clean environment, it had no smell, the people where friendly, open to talk and welcoming. we will definitely be keeping our membership

Best party for grown sexy people

I am a reasonably attractive, fit / athletic single man. I went as a sponsored single male on a Saturday in June 2017 (during a blackout party), with a couple who are my friends. Bottom line: NOT RECOMMENDED, especially for single men. Reasons in my experience (someone else may disagree):1) most of the people there were couples, and socialized only with themselves or with friends who they came with. Even between different / new couples, I noticed very little interaction. Therfore, not a very social atmosphere.2) the dance floor was during its peak only 1/3 full (in my opinion), with couples dancing with themselves. The music was so loud, I could not converse with anyone else including my friends. By 1:30 pm, the dance floor was nearly empty except for 2 or 3 couples off to the sides who were making out.3) for a Saturday, I didnt think it was that crowded overall, compared to clubs I have been to in Florida, NYC, etc. The crowd was relatively sparse.4) as a single male, I paid $105 cover charge. That included $95 door fee plus $10 surcharge to come with the couple. I am not complaining about the amount of money (I realize that lifestyle clubs depend on single men, to a degree, to pay their bills). My gripe is that I really got very little value for what I paid. Basically (from a single man point of view), it is little more than a club with a dance floor. As a single male, I could not attend the play area in the basement without my sponsor couple (and they did not want to go). So I was mostly stuck to the upstairs bar and dance floor, which were populated with couples who were mostly interested in themselves. I could get nearly the same experience in almost any club in Adams Morgan or Dupont Circle, for a $20 cover charge.Now there is nothing that I can do if people dont want to meet new folks and at least say hi to them, and I am not complaining about that at all. And I certainly understand the restrictions against single men. Vicky and Rick, the owners, work hard to run a great club for couples that is clean and well staffed, and I give them credit for that. However from a value point of view, my recommendation for single men is: SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING ELSE. The system is basically designed to rip off single men. Personally, I meet way many women in 30 minutes at a regular club in DC or Baltimore than I did in 3 hours at Tabu. Bottom line is that for me, it was just not worth the steep cover charge ($105) and I will not be returning as a single man (I learned my lesson :) Maybe Ill return as a couple, when Im with a woman.

Ive been a few times, guess Im a regular now but out of the 5 or 6 clubs Ive been to this is one of my faves...

Visited Tabu in April 2017 as a couple. Very friendly check in and first time host tour. The total price was $68. (1 month membership). The dance floor was Black out night which makes it easy to let go and have fun fun.We really enjoy the group and circle bed room in Vickis Lounge, although it may be better to decrease the play time so more ppl can get private rooms and no long wait time, also instead of knocking and YELLING time is up...a chime or sexy voice is more appropriate and less aggressive in the heat of the moment. (friendly suggestions)Overall a very fun closed door lifestyle club. Other clubs ive visited, rooms were open door and you can walk freely in and out the rooms. Closed door felt more like a motel...not bad, just less freedom and voyeurism. Local laws im sure. But the open dance floor night balances it out. Good mix of race, age and attraction...i would recommend and revisit. Very discreet location, easy free parking, liquor store nearby and Closes at 2am on friday.

This is a wonderful place! I really enjoyed every second there!

Attended a couple of years ago, everytime wifey and I are in Baltimore, its a must that we attend,entertainment is out of this world,coming to visit on the 12th of March 2016
