Great course. Of course great people to play with. The only reason its getting four stars instead of five is the quality of greens. They are well kept up. Not excellent.
I have just come here for special events. The hotel is clean, friendly, and nice bathrooms upstairs. I would definitely consider staying here
Overall our experience in unit DP9 at Desert Princess was very good. The location is amazing, the pool right outside the unit was perfect and the view is gorgeous. The unit has everything you need and a couple of perks as well. When we stayed in Feb 2020, the unit could use some maintenance. The screens need fixing, but they worked. One of the screen doors was missing a handle, but we just didn’t use that door (there are 3 screen doors). The washer and drier were quite small and there was not enough silverware, which for a 3 bedroom unit with 6 people, got annoying. Our only bigger issue was how hard the water is. The desert is going to have hard water, but the unit does not have a water softener. So our skin and especially our hair got very dried out. Overall, we would definitely stay again.
27 hole golf course, swimming pools with grand views of the desert mountains, several good restaurants and lounge. One of largest resorts with gated community of homes also. Great place to live or visit anytime of year...lowered golf rates during summer but hot...good to play till noon or after 5 in July
Food is good. Sceniare is magnificent.
Great location, nice country club..pools are only downer..seems they are always dirty( windy alot but still?)
Great service at the grill every time.
If you havent been to desert princess yet, get your butt over there. Great shape, greens awesome and the price, its great to . Go low. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED
Lookwise its a master....Food is yammi but costly and Taste is goodGood food good lifeAnd the place is really heaven
Greens are fast and smooth
Lunched at the clubhouse restaurant yesterday. High quality food, plenty to eat and well prepared. Everything was great. Service a bit slow but I think that is due to a group that was also in attendance. Waiter was efficient and attentive (ice tea refills, etc.). Their dinner specials are a good reason for us to return soon.
Great place to stay! Stunning views, well maintained golf courses. The home we stayed at was spotless, beautiful decor and had a great layout
Home away from home ! The only place I want to be when I travel
Desert process is one of the many gated communitys here in the desert with its beautiful landscape and mountain back ground serenely is within grasp here at Desert Princess
We played Lagos and Cielo today. It was a great experience. Everyone should do that.
Fantastic 27 hole layout and a great value compared to other area courses. There is lots of water so you need to be straight off the tee. Clubhouse restaurant is very nice. Practice range has a great back drop & two putting greens to dial in the short game.
Lovely facility. My wife and I enjoyed our time here.
This trip was an 80th birthday celebration for my mom as Palm Springs is one of her favourite places to visit. When we entered the unit, there was a welcome tray with 3 hersheys kisses and bottle of wine for us. This was a nice touch, but probably the only good part of our stay as it was downhill from there. We were all so very disappointed with this condo. The carpeted areas and insides of closets were dirty, the TV in one bedroom did not work at all, we are pretty tech savvy but it was complicated to turn the TVs on even with the instructions, the drawer handles in the bathrooms were dusty and grimy, the inside of the drawers in the kitchen were so very dirty we didnt want to use the utensils, the washer smelled so bad that we did not wash our clothes in it (we had to put towels in it before we left and had to ask for laundry detergent to do so), blankets we were going to use had hair on them and looked like they had not been washed. We had to buy our own toilet paper as there was not enough in one bathroom but nowhere on the listing or paperwork that followed were we told about this, and the list goes on. On our final day, the wifi was not working so we could not check on our flight time. This is a condo that is normally rented through home away, it seems, but was advertised on hotels.com perhaps because it was available. The listing was misleading and we felt we paid good money for a very poorly maintained unit.
Very nice place to stay and the villa we stayed in was actually at a very reasonable price. The pool was right outside our back door. That was a plus. The only thing was there were spiders and spider webs under all the lounge chairs and tables by the pool side. I would think as much as they kept up the grounds at this establishment the week we were there that the Gardners could have cleaned up the pool side furniture. But the pool was still nice. And this place is very well maintained and beautiful. We will go back.
This course is a beautiful surprise. Watch out for water hazards..they are plentiful. Although you play throughout the resort the fairways are generous. Best price after 12 noon.
We have a home here, and love visiting from Dallas!
I want to live there!
Good executive course slow greens
Great course. Well maintained and beautiful setting.
Beautiful views, nice landscaping, great golf course, many awesome pools, the new Villas (especially Villa #1) on the Arroyos are the finest homes in the valley!!!
The grounds are gorgeous. Very well kept up. The apartments are good sized and very nice.
The courses are very nice and well maintained.
Had prime rib. It was excellent.
My dogs and I like to watch the Canadian Geese they have in the pond.
We were visiting from Canada and wanted to check out the clubhouse. We pulled up and we see a man stumble and fall onto the ground, we assisted him and he said its the alcohol, I am so Drunk. The two staff members who were helping us help him said to go inside for a drink of water, etc.So we did, we sat down at the bar and a lady comes by and told us we cannot be in there with what we were wearing which was understandable because of a dress code. We asked if we could have water as the two other staff members said we could after helping the man clean up his scrapes and stand up. She replied well Im the manager, and no you cannot. So on our way out we mentioned maybe dotn severe someone that intoxicated more alcohol, and the manager closed the door on us in the middle of our sentence. The point is, is that perhaps they shouldnt serve so much alcohol to someone who is obviously extremely intoxicated, to intoxicated to walk. Rather than worrying about two people trying to get a glass of water after helping out.The situation put a bad taste in our mouths and was not impressed at all.
They drained a pond without relocating the fish. Obviously for the fish this caused great suffering and death. For the members and guests it provided a wholly unpleasant experience. Who can enjoy the day when there are distraught and dying animals in view? And when they werent in view, the smell was still noxious.
Incredible views of the golf course and mountains. Very good food, amazing service.
Went to visit my son. First time i have been there since they opened. Beautiful!
Nice room, view. Food ok. Evening special nights during season. Appears to have a good group of residents that socialize often.
People are grumpy and weird. Neighbors are weird as well and could not mind their own business. The view is amazing though.
Golf course in the back yard of most the houses there golf are abundantly drive in this semi retirement party
I wish Google would take and realize you must enter this place from Vista Chino unless you are a homeowner my real complaint is with Google Maps.
Great place to smash the ball
Went to prime rib night. Very good. Plenty to eat. Will definitely go back.
Nothing spectacular. Nice staff. Plenty of free parking.
Food service terrible. Needs alot of real help.
Had a nice breakfast and lunch here at the Desert Princess Country Club. Nice view of putting green and course. Good quality food at a fair price. Good relaxing atmosphere for business meeting or meeting family and friends.
Very beautiful
Perfectly suited for a 60 th. Birthday party....
If there were 6 stars this golf course would get it
It has been a long time since we have dined at the desert princess restaurant. Recently three of us had Mothers Day brunch at the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised . Not only was the food outstanding but the service was excellent and the price was fair. We look forward two dining there again soon.
Ive had a place here with my grandparents for about 10 years now. I come down every november for a week and the weather is always devent. You can pick oranges, lemons, etc off trees for a yummy treat. The pools are pretty nice too! Sometimes they get dirty but what can you do, its a windy desert. The staff and people are friendly and always saying hello
Pretty course well maintained. Good pace of play. Friendly staff and reasonable greens fees made it a very enjoyable round.
Lovely pool, citrus trees, and easy location. The daily lawn care starting at 5:30 a.m. and sprinklers at multiple times during early a.m. and evening left were less than optimal. Overall, fine - not stellar.
Beautiful and serene place.
Nice on all levels.
Beautiful place. Best kept secret in the valley.
The grounds itself are very nice...well kept...great location. But our particular condo that we rented, was very long-in-the-tooth! Really needs some TLC! Maria and the other manager, the guy I called on the phone when the GPS took me to the main gate (which they closed) and I needed another way in! So I would choose another place to stay besides this particular condo (maybe others in there are nicer...), but we had a great stay in Palm Springs! Took our mothers to the follies (our moms are in 70s and 80s) so they loved that. Also took a tour of the stars homes with them, use Carl from Elite Land Tours! They provided water, snacks and a great tour filled with gossip for the older gals!!! Just wished that we wouldve had a nice place to stay in.
Old complex, not well maintained.
The Condo was excellent, The location was 2 min from my event. On the Expedia site once you book it states no need to confirm. Not confirming was a mistake. The Condo Property managers had no idea I was coming.I only called because the gate location was described as confusing. I called on the day of trip and there was no record. Property Mgr had to contact Expedia and then was able to send me papers to sign and fax back. Had I already left for my Dist Conf. It would have been annoying to say the least. Completely enjoyed the Condo not expedia so muchl
Beautiful view of the local mountains right from the bar. Great service and friendly staff. Well established for a long time meaning they do things right thrre. Play golf then head for the bar.
Nice place. Lit tennis courts that you need a key for, gym for residents, tennis drills, security at the gates, cameras everywhere.
New manager is a weirdo. He will come and invite him self to eat with us! Very uncomfortable and just plain odd! The dinner menu is no where on the web leaving us felling not so good about this new management team. There seems to be no.understaning of what is going on. Bad d! Seem like this place e is being run as if it were a hotel and not a country club.
Nice course and in good shape. Greens rolled good but service in the restaurant was real slow
Chaotic & terrible rental clubs. I played here a few weeks ago when in town for a friends wedding. We started on whatever front nine they put us on and when I reached in my bag at the putting green the putter was almost worn to the shaft. The remainder of the clubs were okay at best. When I got to the turn I told them about the putter and they shrugged their shoulders and said there are a bunch that are even worse. I was astonished. Then then just handed over another okay putter and put us in behind a womens tournament for the back nine. We didnt even get to finish our round because the back was so slow and the front we were the first out. I asked for at minimum a refund of the $50 Adams rental clubs and they said they dont give refunds because I already golfed with them. No cart girl either. I golf all over the country/world and this is one of the worst courses customer service wise.
Awesome course.
Great venue for performing. Good foodExcellent service. Full bar PLUS golf...
Seems to have some days better than others, the course is laid out to make good golfers feel like they are great.
So sad... Self important blow hards everywhere
Friendly staff, awesome golf experiences
I was not expecting such comfort and peace. The condo was very clean and welcoming. It is in a very quiet community. I enjoyed resting there. Look forward to going back and staying at the same place!
My girlfriend and I are staying in the Doubletree Hilton that is connected to this sorry excuse for a golf course. If you belong to this very prestigious club then maybe they treat you differently, but if youre from out of town looking to stop by to play a few quick games or hit up the range expect no reliable service or clear definitive statements that lead to clear mental concepts.Talking to a few employees in this establishment you get a general feel for the ideology in this place. Pretty much its one of belittling those who arent members and expecting those non-members to know the ins and outs of the facility (including its lingo) lest you be stared at and treated like you have 5 heads with no brain.Long story short, management needs to work on its people skills but given that theyre sooooo popular and have so many prestigious members I doubt they care.
Well maintained, staff is very polite. There was a Marshall out every time if played there. Driving range is a bit short for people who are long hitters.
Security staff is always kind of rude
Nice hotel and fun challenging golf course
I like the bungalows for a vacation homes reasonable price
This is a hugh place! Lots to do! Guaranteed you wont ever get BORED!
Very good spegetti dinner tonight.
Fantastic property...golf, restaurant, snack bar, spa, tennis.. most beautiful views around.
Booking this resort was different from the usual Expedia booking. After receivng a confirmation from Expedia I was contacted by a condo booking agency and had to complete forms to confirm the booking at their end. These units are individually owned and each unit is uniquely furnished. I was provided a link to view photos of our unit, a contact name, number and email address. Everything was handled very professionally. The resort itself was very close to the airport and centrally located. It is a gated community with a 24 hour guard service. The complex was immaculately groomed. Our unit had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was very comfortable and fully equipped with all bedding, kitchen utensils and had 3 tvs. If I really had to look for something to be improved upon, I would say the unit could use updating.I would definitely return to the resort and recommend it to friends.
Pristine condition beautiful landscapes and great customer service worth the drive and more.
They are always friendly and have good food.
Allot of thought went into the eclectic decor and imaginative art wall display. Good amenities and very clean inviting home away from home.
Fun place for casual California country club style living with lots of fitness and fun activities: golf, pools, biking, tennis, bocce, horseshoes, pickleball, walking trails, and spa.
When I found this property on Expedia, I thought it was going to be great. But it just turned out to be a big hassle. They contact you before arrival and you have to sign a contract and send your credit card information before you even arrive. Then I had to kill two roaches my first night. Lastly, since its a condo, you have to make sure to strip the beds of the sheets, put them in the washer and make sure you replace the toilet paper. Though its a nice condo, its more trouble than its worth.
Condo was spacious, clean and comfortable, with easy check-in procedure. Only small issue was finding no detergent for dishwasher (despite a note stating it was provided), so we ended up washing the dishes by hand.
Great place for the money your paying. Big rooms and bathrooms, nice kitchen and big Living room, the grill was useful. Ill definite go back.
Very big 2 bedroom condo on golf course... NICE! Private owner... would be easier to book directly through him. I would book here again.
Nothing bad to say about this place, 33 pools, the works
Nice atmosphere..... alway melo vibe
Resort was nice but the condo we got was very small and not clean. Ive stayed at that resort before, but the condo was nothing like this one!
Love it. This is my home away from home.
Nice track reasonably priced as long as the winds not blowing
Great golf courses...And very good eats
Really nice!
Food is good, service is okay, views are very nice.
Had a nice breakfast with my wife Gayle and l long time friends the Meis. Though Gayles oatmeal was not good, runny.
