Great spot to catch a movie. Food is good and beer selection is good. Some chairs are a little busted up, but each still has plenty of leg room and space for an extremely comfortable experience. Staff is friendly and prices are pretty fair for the experience you get. Seems like weekday matinees dont have food service, so if you want the full package go for an evening or weekend show!
This place was great. Very clean and comforting. Great place for all ages. It is surrounded by many shopping and dining options. I took the kids to the movies all of the chairs recline, not just front row. I love movie theaters that serve food in theater, this was great. I was shocked by the huge portions and the food was really good. I highly recommend this theater!
Ive been bowling here twice; and saw a movie there once.Great fun bowling; and you can order food & drinks served to your lane. And yes, they do have larger size bowling shoes... at least up to size 18.The theatre was good, too! Comfortable seats (even for a big guy like me... 66 tall... 314 lbs). Clean... no sticky floors there!!!
Very cozy bowling alley. Couches instead of hard chairs that are usually in a bowling alley. Great for large groups. Different pricing for busy times, you pay per hour not person ( it is better for large groups). Reservations recommended. Nice bar area and movie theater in same place.
I went bowling and have not been there for a movie. I enjoyed the art deco feel and the ability to book a party with a movie of your choice in the background. Availability of bowling balls reasonably sized for people with small hands or throw weights was lacking. The machines broke a couple times, too. Food was good, but not terribly suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
I havent dined in the theatre. I only went to see Creed 2 and they still were showing it and had a nice variety of show times compared to other theatres. The seats do have trays to eat on. Very cool place overall. I have played in the arcade and bowled here also and had a great time. Something to do no matter what. On the weekends the bowling lanes get filled quick so be prepared to wait. Very cool atmosphere and I wish it was closer to me but worth the drive. The Prices arent the cheapest but still better than some with similar concepts.
I agree with someone else. I’m really disappointed with the cinebowl. They really have changed their dine in and recline services. The servers are rude. You can’t just order inside the movie theater itself and having the people come take your order, you have to order food at the concession stand. I’m very upset and disappointed! This is not how you would run a facility as someone else had mentioned. Really have downgraded since I have been here. I thought this place would be a good place. But now I prefer the other dine in recline movie theater.
I cant give it five stars because I didnt go to the theater. We had a family bowling event Black Friday. It was so much fun! The staff was courteous and accommodating. The food was delicious! The environment was very clean. I will visit again.
Really nice theater with assigned seats. Seats are very comfortable. I didnt eat food there so cant comment on that. Recommend buying tickets in advance as ticket line was really slow.
Have visited this place many times to either watch movies or play bowling!! Decent recliner seats and food service will be provided at your seat if you order prior to going to your movie!! Bowling alleys and food over there is really good!! Very good fun getaway with friends over the weekend!!
This is a great place for group activities. Our group went bowling and used one of their packages to include the shoe rental, food, and drinks. Our servers were so nice and laid back. The food was really tasty. I enjoyed my experience here. They have plenty of balls to choose from. I had to take away a star because the ladies restroom was filthy and the lounge chairs in the bowling alley were ripped in places and held together with duct tape. Other than that, overall it’s a great place to bowl and enjoy friends.
The chairs are comfortable. The rest of the visit wasnt great. This was our 3rd visit. The staff hasnt seemed well organized nor helpful. The concessions folks appeared to be doing us a favor by getting our snacks. The restrooms need a deep cleaning. The servers in the theater were all very nice and friendly. I will probably look elsewhere for my next movie experience.
Weve been going to the place to watch movies, bowl and play arcade games. Its a wonderful place. Theres an all you can play option in the arcade for an hour which is worth the money. Of course you wont get any tickets for your wins. But its fun.
Plenty to do for all age ranges, great for a family night or company outing. The arcade could use some updating and full size pool tables would be a boon but overall a good place. Havent attended a movie there yet so I cant garner an opinion on it.
Worst place weve ever been bowling to. Never seen staff so incompetent and uncaring.Weve been here last week and there were okay splitting 4 ways. We were a group of 6 this time and the guy refused to split even 4 ways so 2 of us had to split the bill. Okay, maybe thats just policy. The main issue was that the bowling lane kept getting stuck for no reason. We lost about 15 minutes of our bowling time. When we asked, the lady was indifferent and after a while said that someone would fix it and we would get our time back. Never happened.Never coming back! Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are options in the area with more caring staff.
The seats are very comfortable and spacious. The popcorn was fine. They serve alcohol which is pleasant. The food that you can order to your seat is so so at best.
I wanted to start off by saying, I never take the time to submit reviews. Many reviews here will tell you how this theater has gone down hill.I wanted to submit one purely for the fine and recline section of the theater.Attached is a photo of their Mac and cheese dinner. When ordering from a theater you expect for expensive options; however, when we used to come here they would come to your seat to get your order and then present it to you. When delivered they would bring you a napkin and silverware with the dish on a proper plate.Now. The two meals we received were literally microwave dinner platters for the 20 dollars we paid each.I am sure that they can state they make them first and pour them into the tray. I don’t believe that at all. When I asked if there is any forks or silverware they pointed to a tray at the front for us to get them ourselves. The food tasted worse than some of the trays I’ve purchased at the grocery store. If you were wondering how far it’s gone downhill based on the review, the proof is in the photos and reviews.Next time, I’ll likely drive further out to the waverly place theater.
Good place for bowling. We were there on a Monday afternoon and it wasnt busy. But the seating has seen better days. There were tears in the coverings. We didnt try the food or bar.
Good comfortable push back seats and picture quality. Not a five star because of lack of cleaning between shows. Not sure if it was an one off case. Picture and sound quality was good.
Was a good place to go but now is disorganized and they no longer have waiters for dine and recline. Had I not gone looking for a menu I would not have found out that you now have to stand in a long line at concession counter to order from only one cashier that could take food order. All the while manager and assistant manager and one other employee stood and watched. Then they had an issue taking cash !?! So you place your order and then someone brings it to you in theater. You have to get your own condiments from a table in the theater with plastic knife and forks. Cuban sandwich arrives cold inside, as in refrigerator cold, cheese not even melted!? Used to enjoy coming to the movies here but standards have declined rapidly in past few months. Too bad
Lousy service. Staff is least bothered. It’s not the first time we had a bad experience here. This time the bowling broke in middle of our game and they never fixed it even after asking them a few times. We’re never coming back here! There are so many other better places, they’re not the only place
Full disclosure, I was last at this theater some 18 months ago. Greatly enjoyed the theater back then and was extremely disappointment this time around. Arrived early to.order my food. After 15 minutes a person already in the theater said that we must order our food outside the ticket collection area. So we departed our seats to go order food. Returned to our seats and food arrived 15 minutes later. Oh, I had to leave your seat again to get napkins and plastic ware near the theater entrance. So here my issues, where was the sign telling.me I had to order before entering? Why must I get out of my seat for plaaticware and napkins? Why should anyone pay for eat and dine service that is incomplete? The movie theater is basically like every standard theater with the exception of paying a higher ticket price for a weak movie and dining experience. Btw, I was in theater number eight and movie previews started 15 minutes late and there were large cutout in the ceiling exposing internal items that appear to be near to falling onto ones head. Shame of this theater for the level of service and customer service.
Used to be a 5 star theater. Ive been disappointed with the steady decline in quality. Its a fine theater with comfortable seats, but the food service is a bit awkward (order at the bar, go to theater and they deliver it), food quality is like theme park snack fare, most of the ticket kiosks are nonfunctional but still in lobby with out of order signs.. gives the place a bit of a “run down” vibe.
I enjoy coming to this movie theatre. The seating is comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was that is was slightly more expensive than the regular priced movies theaters such as crossroads. I enjoyed the bowling and the bar. The drinks are excellent but the food seemed processed.
Great place, Total reclining chairs.Great options at the concessions.Kids love the bowling area, has kids lane option with kids assist.
I have note seen a movie here and so am only rating based on the bowling and food. The bowling is the same as any other alley Ive been to and I have no complaints. You get your shoes up front, select a ball from the back, and bowl. They had what appeared to be dinosaur shaped slides for the balls for people such as kids or someone with a disability who may be unable to roll the ball on their own.The food was standard pub food. I cant say anything bad about it, but I also cant say anything exceptionally good about it. They do have a decent sized beer selection, so they have that going for them as well.Overall it makes for a decent place to grab something to eat and get some bowling in. I went as part of an event so I cannot speak to the price however.
Ive been seeing movies at this theater for 4 years and tolerating the extremely high food prices and mediocre service, figuring the comfortable seating and good picture quality offset the negatives. However now that they are instituting mandatory bag checks at the ticket station I wont be coming back. In the 25 years of seeing movies in the theater I have never been forced to have a bag checked. Anywhere. And seeing as this is most likely the way things are headed in all theaters, I probably will just wait it out and see the movies at home.
This was our first time at this location and definitely our last time. We took our daughters to go see sonic Saturday night(6:30pm). When we got there I had to use the restroom well the ladies restroom was out of order, my husband asked the gentleman with the tickets if I could use the one behind the ticket entry point and he told him we would have to wait because the movie wasnt ready for us to go into yet. Ok fine no big deal I can wait. We proceed to get in line to order our food and drinks and thats when we see signs everywhere stating that there were no beer or soda due to them being out of CO2. We get to the counter and the only drinks they had available were bottled water and bottled coke zero at $4.00 a piece. I asked the cashier if the drinks were half off since they couldnt serve anything else and she looked at me like I was crazy. She didnt even apologize for the inconvenience. We paid roughly $100 for 4 tickets and food and drinks and I expect to be able to drink what we like not have to choose between 2 drinks.
Its way cheaper than where I previously went to the movies. Great reclining seats and food service was fast even though they forgot to give my bf a fork to eat his shrimp alfredo. Food was good overall! Will definitely be coming back!
My wife and I go here for dates we love it ! Clean atmosphere comfortable chairs to sit back, relax and watch movies!!
From a bowlers perspective.Ive been here twice and both times the bowling lanes were bone dry for any type of reactive bowling ball, even some plastic balls can hook towards the gutter if youre not careful. Dont come here for bowling if your more than casual, unless youre looking for a bad time. Theaters are nice though, which is why Im giving it two stars instead of one.
Very nice space leather seats with recliners. You have to order when you purchase your tickets if not youll be making another trip to the front of the theater
Awesome little vibe. I forget how much I enjoyed this place when I’m thinking or suggesting things to do. May have to check it out again. What I do know is I loved it!
My first experience at this place was absolutely terrible. I am a repeat customer of cinebistro, but I happened to try Frank Cinemas with my daughter since we were near. We walked in, and waited for a little over a minute before anyone acknowledged us. There were a team of people behind the ticket/concessions counter talking and laughing. We received a few looks but they still did not approach us until after we stood in line a while. Once someone came to the counter the gentleman stated “what do you need” in a very harsh, rude, and disrespectful manner (as if we the customers were bothering them). I proceeded to ask where do you pick up tickets that were purchased online and he pointed to the right. Another representative assisted me with tickets and I asked to speak to the manager on duty. I expressed my concerns to her and her reply was “I’m not sure what’s wrong, maybe he’s having a bad day”. This was definitely not the experience I had hoped for. I haven’t had dinner yet, but hopefully my review of the food will be much better than the customer service experience. If not I definitely will be back to write another review.
Both the movie theater and bowling alley are great. Customer service for bowling can be a little slow.-You can bring in alcohol from the bar into your movie, so that is a plus especially if youre watching a rom-com on your first date.
Ive been visiting this theater for approximately four years. The place always struck me as tidy with good service until this recent visit. These days it appears like its under bad management or the company is going under, because three out of the four ticketing machines is down and needs repair, its been that way for months now. Also, the carpet is getting more dirty with mud stains throughout the journey to any auditorium, worse, I discovered that auditorium 4 has huge holes in the roof with water dripping from the ceiling and a few seats are broken in each theater Ive been in. This place once had four stars from me but now, its looking like a $5 theater... Ive also noticed that the price of the tickets are dropping... This is starting to be an embarrassing business for this community, this is Cary and this joint does not fit in... Im literally traveling to AMC DINE-IN HOLLY SPRINGS 9 to get the experience this theater once provided. Its shameful.
Used to be our theater of choice. I used to be able to justify paying a higher priced ticket becAuse i could order everything from my seat and the food was okay. Now you have to order from the lobby and fill you own drinks. The food went down hill and not good anymore. Half of the chairs are broke and doesn’t look they ever get fixed. I’ll stick with our other dine and recline theater that’s way nicer.
This movie theater has a great arcade. Which was convenient while we waited. The food was delicious. Excellent service from the employees. The seating is very nice. But the bathrooms needed attention. One stall was out of order, but it smelled like week old urine. Why should a toilet be out of service that long in a business?
In Theatre 7 some seats in handicap accessible row do not recline. Not providing key promised benefit of this type of theatre. Double brownie Sunday was loved by my daughter.
Its a great place to spend time with family and comfortable movie seats. You can buy Samosas here. That rocks.
This a great place to watch movies, I would love to see Tuesday specials that would bring them a boost in their business!
Comfortable seats. Great sound. Good food
The food was good but the service was terrible. One of the staff was rude and did not even bring what I ordered
Great staff and comfortable seats. High quality sound and projection.
A fun place to catch a movie play a game of bowling or shoot some pool.
Upon entering this establishment everything looked aesthetically pleasing. Then I saw almost every kiosk was out of order and there were 3 gentlemen behind the concession counter talking, laughing and looking at me and the family that came in behind me like we were bothering them. After finally getting our tickets printed and placing an order for food. We then approached a guy that was taking tickets. He demanded to look inside my purse. I waited a bit just to see how he interacted with other customers. He never once asked to look in anyone elses purse. Ill definitely be following up with corporate to see exactly what their criteria is for checking a purse asI was there with my husband and 2 children to enjoy a movie like every other patron..
I used to come to this theater religiously because they did everything right. Lately they have not gotten their air conditioning under control. I should not come out of a theater sweating like I have been in a sauna. I notified a staff member and they said they would have someone look at it. Nobody ever came. Sat 2 hours sweating. This is not just their smaller theaters this was the FDX Theater. This is the 3rd movie that has made me sweat. If your air conditioning is broken let people know. Its unfortunate but I will be finding a new theater to frequent.
A great way to enjoy a film! The popcorn was great, the seats were electric recliners, and the service was considerate.
Came here expecting to have a sit down dinner only to find out they closed their restaurant. If you want to order food, you have to sit at the tiny bar or go bowling and order food. They used to have a restaurant complete with waiters and tables. I ended up going to Brixx instead. They shouldn’t advertise themselves as a movie theater and restaurant if you can’t sit down anywhere and eat. Definitely won’t be returning.
We definitely enjoyed the movie, but definitely not good with the smell. Hope this is maintained well in future.
Nice facility, good food and staff. The only problem I had was the the run up area to bowl was completely dry and the bowling shoes wouldnt slide.
Fun place to hang once in a while. Price is high. And bathroom are not clean.
What a mess and such a disappointment. The whole place was dirty (popcorn, straw wrappers, you name it). Ordering of food isn’t done at the theater (you have to go to concessions). Soda machine out of ice, straw holder out of straws. Recliner foot rest broke. Food was blend... McDonalds is better. It seems this place doesn’t have a manager or nobody cares to keep things functioning as they are supposed to. Not coming back.
That everything is there... cool village vibe but not many villagers when I was there
We did a daytime company bowl here and it was a lot of fun...food was Sports Bar fare... service was on point...had a lot of fun! Surprisingly good selection of beers... !
Poorly maintained. This facilityhas been around for only a few years and is already in disrepair. I only use the bowling area in the seats were ripped with duct tape on them. In addition the balls continue to get stuck and the back of the allies. I was there for a corporate event and it was catered by them. The food was subpar and just like any other bowling alley food.
First time attending this theatre and it was clean, seating was comfortable and customer service was excellent.
Girls day at the movies. The staff was great desiring to help! Love that the food is delivered to you and the full recliner seating. The prices were way to high for the selection and portion sizes and didnt match the hype. This especially for the basics, like Icee and popcorn (compared to similar theaters in upscale shopping in the area. And with the other nice restaurants/food options nearby.)Also theres bowling, an arcade and alcoholic beverage service-- you can enjoy with the movie. So while you expect the mark up, it would better to have a little more variety with snack, food, and soda. Like maybe they could get a Freestyle soda machine for starters.Bottom line: If youre cool with trading a little value for service and convenience, you do get an overall great experience with lots of activity options.
Comfortable seats spacious legroom. Excellent sound and picture. Great staff.
Clean nice place, fun and great concept. Staff is friendly and respectful. However, the service at the alley it’s self is awful. Not attentive or speedy. We had to go find our waiter to order drinks a few time and to also get our bill to pay.
Great Service and food pricing is fair for the delicious pizza we had!
Only complaint is lots of advertisements and previews before the actual movie started other than that it was good.
First time visiting this theater today. Ordered a house salad. I now have food poisoning. I wish I had read the reviews before going. I will not be returning and don’t recommend this place.
Dining experience has changed dramatically. You no longer are able to place order inside the theater. It seems that they no longer take pride in providing quality service. Management should return to the original dining experience.
Top notch theater. I even struggle to classify it as a theater since they have bowling lanes, arcade and a full bar alongside the theaters. It was extremely clean both in the theater and around the rest of the building. The arcade games were fun and the variety of refreshments is vast. Food and drinks arent cheap but they are very high quality compared to other similar venues. They have some private party areas and a few of the bowling lanes can be curtained off for private parties.Staff is extremely courteous and helpful, we will definitely return. Its a 40min drive from home for us but its worth every minute for the experience.
Relatively new theaters and I like seating and sound quality here.
If your going here for the movie facet then it is a great experience with reclining chairs and restaurant style food that can be eaten in the theater while you watch. There is a bar, bowling alley, and arcade as well. However, the bowling is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and the beer is pretty pricey as well. The bowling lanes are of pretty good quality with good oil patterns and Monday is $2 shoe rental and bowling games so this is the only night I would advise bowling here.
This is the closest and so awesome so far. I have not seen any change in it. But it is totally awesome. Tip: Avengers: Endgame tickets are sold out by the way, so I hope it does not bother you.
Bowled there. Nice lanes. Cut us off from our last frame because there was a big party but no one was actually there yet. My friends ball was actually going down the lane and it smacked into the gate. Plus apparently they have never heard of AC. I was fanning my shirt at the little blowers near the ball return. Thought I might have to go to the mens room and take a sponge bath.
Very friendly staff. Great movie selection. Comfortable seats.
Screen with good comfy seats that recline. Decent selection of beers and other drinks. Nice place to organize work bowling events but I wouldnt recommend the same for family/friends as the prices are a higher compared to other bowling lanes. Staffs courtesy has been a hit or miss many a times.
This place used to be great. Unfortunately, the last 2 times (one being 7/21/19) the place has looked like a bomb went off inside . The bathroom was a disaster, and my seat and table were sticky and filthy. The worst part about it, though, is that most of the employees really couldnt be bothered. What happened to customer service? You almost have to take out a loan these days to go to the movies, Im pretty sure we wont be back.
Been here several times. Furniture at the bowling lanes were raggedy the last time I bowled there. I, personally just dont like raggedy and worn furniture. Last night, I went just to the bar, the bartender was nice and knew what he was doing, very efficient in handling requests from the bar attendees, as well as the other patrons that werent at the bar. I forgot his name but we were there after 7pm. Parking was ok, as new businesses open, the further away you may have to park :)
Fruit Flies Everywhere..this was our first and last Time coming to this CineBowl location. For starters one of the seats we paid for didn’t work. Which was a surprise because the theatre is newer. The food was good except the Caesar salad My husband ordered. It smelt horrible so he didn’t even eat it. The main issue was the amount of fruit flies. It was so many you could see them (not just one) flying across the projector. My husband killed two. I knocked down 2 myself.
Service is mediocre, they dont bring food into over half the theaters, and there always seems to be something broken or inoperable. The heating is currently broke in one of the theaters and instead of hiring someone to repair the issue, they leave the door open and make no efforts to repair it. One of the other theaters doesnt have a single seat that reclines.
We purchased tickets to see Marvels Avengers: Endgame weeks in advance at Franks so we could do Recline and Dine. They no longer serve inside of the theater for food or drinks. We were sent to the bar with our two kids to find food. No one wanted to help us so we ended up going across the street to Hickory Tavern for food. The theater seats did not recline. We will never go back. NOT WORTH IT.
Cinebowl has a good concept for fun. I enjoyed my outing. The loaded fries and chicken wings were AMAZING! I would have given it another star but my friend almost tripped over some equipment that was not put up and the movie we wanted was advertised but not actually available, the night we visited.
Fun and cool atmosphere. Enjoyed bowling
We love to bowl here. Great food and fun. Never a long wait. Great lanes
Very comfortable reclining chairs in the movie theater. Would go again.
Great place to see a movie, or have fun bowling with friends
Popcorn was cold and stale. No ice and employees did not want to be there. The actual theater is nice.
Nice theater, lots of amenities...come early for good parking
Have been there for lots birthday. Cool place, great bowling, good food, great service. Go there!
I love this place I dropped a little bit of popcorn they were there to clean it up before we even asked. Then they gave us enough popcorn to cover what we lost. Thayer is nice and Atmos theater is better then any other around.
Went with a group of friends. We waited 35 min for a lane to bowl. When we were purchasing the bowling both myself and one of my friends specifically asked the lady if we could purchase an additional hour later in the night. (You’re allowed up to 2 hours of lane time) She didn’t hesitate and happily agreed that yes we could.About 45 minutes later I returned to add the second hour to the bill. She looked at me and said “oh sorry we have a wait list and it’s the weekend we can’t extend your time”.I can’t even begin to say how frustrating something so simple is for the customers! The manager got involved and was very rude and un helpful. They both kept repeating that it was just their policy. This policy isn’t posted anywhere nor was it communicated to us. The worst part was that we specifically asked about this very scenario and were told the exact opposite. Absolute garbage management. Will most likely never return. I can bowl unlimited at an actual bowling alley and pay a lot less.
Great sound and sestimg, staff friendly and the beer was cold!
My work had a bowling night here, the facilities where clean and in good shape overall, the prices on both drinks and the Arcade are 150-200% more than other locations i can do the same activites at for exaple to use a billards table was 18 per hour or 30 cents a min... Im use to around 2-5 dollars per hour. Or 0.5-1 Dollar a game Simmilsr story with drinks etc. Just over priced for what you get
