Beautiful works of art!!!! If you are really into paintings and sculptures, you can be here a real long while!! If you come here at a good time you can really see and go into everything! I was here for two hours and felt like I rushed through at least half the museum. Pro tip: Bring some headphones for the music of your choice and enjoy!! :)

Great variety of paintings and sculpture. Informative display of how the West was won and run. Plenty of beauty coupled with hints and reminders of the injustices suffered by American Indians in the process of Americas westward expansion. Booth has a really interesting display featuring each American President, including an actual letter written by each one. Great museum. Plan on spending several hours there.

My wife and I were staying in Canton for 4th of July weekend and decided to come check this place out after a nice kayak day on Lake Allatoona. I’m so glad we did. This was a highlight of our trip. The museum is absolutely stunning, inside and out and extremely clean. The staff is friendly as well. They have tons of artwork, including paintings, photographs, sculptures and artifacts, relating to the American West. They also have an unexpectedly amazing presidential area with all kinds of details and letters from all the US presidents. That was my favorite part. I can’t say enough how great this place is. Once we thought it was over, we walked around a corner and there was more to see. You definitely get your money’s worth which is around $12/ticket. I want to go back in the future.

The museum is about an hour outside of Atlanta and is well worth a trip. Be sure to start with a tour of the outdoor sculptures before you go in to view the intro movie. The museum is full of old fashioned and modern cowboy art and artifacts. When I went, they also had a special exhibit of Andy Warhol art. The museum also has a nice gift store and a cafe. The first 2 pictures concern my favorite piece of modern art, The Spirit of the Medicine Man. The last three pictures are about Fred Fellows who appeared in the intro movie and whose work is displayed at the museum..

We first visited about a decade earlier and enjoyed it enough to recommend it to our sons and their families. About 3 years ago, one family with two teens finally visited, but were as unimpressed as were we when we visited yesterday (7/19/2020).I have never considered my artistic appreciation and sensitivities to be of significance. However, reading a quote by one of the featured artists, Robert Henri, painted on an upstairs wall of the museum, “The man who has honesty, integrity, the love of inquiry, the desire to see beyond, is ready to appreciate good art.” made me reevaluate what I had been viewing and was currently viewing.Abandoning my hitherto passive role, I began evaluating both previously viewed exhibits first floor exhibits and those on the second floor for emotional impact, perspective, uniqueness, insight, historical verity, use of color, lack of realism, detail, etc., anything that would set it apart from a freshman art class product.A decade earlier, my wife and I enjoyed our tour of the museum, which is why we had recommended it. This trip, with the revisions to the what and how exhibits were presented, my impression is the museum moved from being an enjoyable tour of history to that of a artsy collection of mediocre art. I fully understand the lack of appreciation by our teenage grandkids.Remembering the museum from a decade earlier,

This was a totally unexpected find for us! I am so happy that we took the opportunity up to check this place out. The price wasnt too shabby. I believe it was $12 per person (average aged adults). They are super friendly there and the customer service is great. Prices for souvenirs arent bad at all. They have soooo much art to look at. I dont consider myself an art person whatsoever but this place was incredibly fascinating. I LOVED the presidential section of this museum and it was extremely fascinating. I learned way more than I ever imagined. Wonderful experience. All thanks to a billboard advertisement we noticed while making a pit stop in the area! Lucky us! Thank you for such a great and worthwhile experience.

Not sure what I liked best. The presidential exhibit is a must see. The sculptures inside and out were incredible including some wonderful contemporary pieces. The Andy Warhol exhibit was excellent and will be there through 12-31-99. The children’s area was a lot of fun too. This is a high-end, world class museum that is a must see. There is plenty of parking and it was not overcrowded. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Go see it!

This museum is amazing! We went on a first grade field trip, and the guides were patient, kind, and helpful to the students. The whole day was planned and organized with hands on and interactive activities. Chaperones just helped manage the crowd, which was super easy because the kids were engaged and interested by our awesome guide, Jennifer. They loved the metal horse sculpture and the horse in the ranch room. I cant wait to come back with my family to see the Warhol exhibit and the president room. We had an awesome experience!

I took my dad up to the Booth Museum for his birthday this year. It was a lovely experience! When we arrived a docent led tour of the museum was starting. Our guide, Steve, did an INCREDIBLE job. He made seeing the Warhol and the West exhibit so engaging with backstories of Warhol’s life and the artistic process. I had to leave the tour early, but also got the opportunity to explore some of the galleries on the lower floor (and briefly the great gift shop). Beautiful art, beautiful facilities. Highly recommend the trip and the guided tour!

Only concern I had was that as an affiliate of Smithsonian, Id hoped to see more art by African American artists and featuring African American subjects. The Smithsonian is the reason I learned (approx) 1 in 3 cowboys was in fact black, and I would like to see more art reflecting history accurately. However, it was still a great place to visit and next time Im back in Georgia to see my friends I may have to go back!

This place was great!! The staff were helpful and knowledgable. Wonderful artwork of all types on display. The hall of statues has an amazing, huge bronze of a native American man and an eagle. Its beautiful with its wings outstrectched! The interactive childrens center was fun for my children and us adults. The presidential paintings and articles from each president was great. Both of my sons, 12 & 13, enjoyed it greatly. The large painting showing the beginning and end of Geronimo was my favorite, besides a stark painting in the war room of Sherman in Atlanta. Im from Georgia so Im not a fan of Sherman, but the piece was so bright with the fire, centered around Sherman, the paint not fading into his image, which was so crisp and sharp, contrasted by the ruin and dust of the city and the men walking. The artist did an excellent job of his work. The photo and my phones camera do no justice to the piece. Standing in front of it is awe inspiring. We visit a lot of museums because we homeschool and love art and this one was at the top of our charts. I loved this museum, and would definitely go back.
