I had paid in advance. Drove 1.5hrs to the course. They told me there was a mudslide last night and the course was closed and wouldnt let me on. So I grabbed a bucket for the driving range. I noticed people on the course playing. I went back up and asked someone unloading their cart how their round was. They said great. I asked if they played all 18 holes. They said yes. I went back in and asked if the course was now open. They said no. I went back outside and you could see a ton of people playing. I waited half an hour and almost 5 groups finished up playing 18 hole . Apparently only select people can play although I had paid in advance. I went back in and asked why others could play. They said it was ladies tournament. But all the groups coming off were men.I dont understand their logic and feel I lost out on money in the round of golf plus my 1.5hr drive there and back. 3 hours of my day gone. It was apparently playable because as I drove out I decides to take the side rodes to check the course out and every hole was busy.I am very frustrated. I was looking forward to playing this course because I heard it was very fun and challenging. I thought it would he worth the drive. But I guess I shall never know. :(
I have played this course several times, always with pre-paid times, always on time or earlier teed off, LIKE IT A LOT. While I am a poor golfer, I enjoy game and enjoy this course. AND people working there are very friendly. Play here and have an enjoyable time.
First time at this track . Really liked it. Tough, but keeps you interested. Will be back
Awesome course! The coolest place I have ever golfed! Definitely recommend this place!I would maybe suggest putting out signs for the direction of the golf carts cause a few times we ended going the wrong direction!!
Great course with lots of elevation changes on the back nine, water hazards on the front nine. Takes a lot of thought to play it well. Love it out here.
This place never ceases to amaze me! Even though I had one mishap in dozens of trips they went above and beyond to make things right. Wonderful course layout with challenging holes that can be much easier if you play from the proper tee box. And what absolutely takes the cake is the phenomenal service and atmosphere youll find here. Definitely a gem of a golf course and Id recommend it to everyone!
A fun course... the circus pipe organ is on the back 9.
Bad day of golf, course greens really fast
Very nice Golf course and the staff there is top notch!!
Went there for a tournament and it was so disorganized that no carts were set up with name, holes, or anything. Going out to the holes, the Marshall left leading us to the holes for shotgun start and left us for something else.
Golf was fun and challenging and the Marshall was exceptional
My husband and I played yesterday and were pleasantly surprised on the condition of the lush fairways and smooth greens. Challenging but playable with 5 different tee boxes. Country Club Golf at Municipal course prices.
This is a great place for the price
Staff very nice. Holes 1 through 13 not bad. 14, 15, 16, 17 lololol. Who ever designed these holes thought it was a video game. The tee balls with no idea what to hit or where to land from huge bluffs ridiculous. Fairways 95% made out if dandelions very sad. Greens very nice condition but super slow. Great picture taking thats about it. A few not bad holes. Bring alot of balls for the last 5 holes..Disappointed day and only time for this guy
Absolutely breathtaking.... the new owners of this place has really come on board and turned it around. So amazing the views of the mountains.... Hitting it long is rt there if u think u got what it takes?.. Bring along extra balls cause this place eats them up... Also, extra water for u and the other. Heat is dry there,...
Played golf on this well manicured course. Had a great time. Will come back oftenGreat rates.
Love this course the greens are my favorite in the valley but when you get stuck behind slow old people that wont let you play through at 11 and have to wait 10 minutes in between every shot is ridiculously.. When you finally see the ranger he is on 18 in the brush on the phone looking for lost balls is absolutely ridiculous. Was hoping new management would take things a little more seriously.. I guess all they care about is the recreations that there putting in and not making the golf course more enjoyable and more professional very disappointed.
Great place to play. Prices are reasonable and the back 9 is alot of fun.
A really good course, all the holes different, fabulous par 3s, both from the tips and for women, we played on a windy day, but the course held up well, greens in good shape, we would definitely play again.
This course was fun and challenging, but make sure you have plenty of ball to play.
Lived here in the area for 3 yrs now but have played this course a lot in the past. Challenging course, would love to see a regular and larger clubhouse with food, bar & possibly meeting rooms for other events. Since Duncan Mgmt is now involved something like their other venues, Eagle Valley, Dayton, Wolf Run & Lakeridge. Love all those facilities & since Im a member at EV, hopefully theyll include this one like the others.
What an amazing golf course! Especially for the price, and it actually has a 19 th hole for tie breaker! So is the bar the 20th hole?? Great staff, warm up facility and views for miles.
Played late April, with variety of weather; sun, wind, and showers. It is true that some bunkers and fairway maintenance would improve the overall score for the course. The staff are very friendly and fun !!The 15th hole will be always be memorable as my partner, Frank got his first hole in one after 50 years of golfing !!!Lots of fun with staff and regulars celebrating his achievement !!!
Awesome course! Awesome new owners. It seems intimidating but its actually not as bad as it looks & quite fun. Especially the back 9. We have all had the secret desire to bomb a huge drive off of cliff to see how far it goes... play this course & youll get your chance :)
Very friendly & welcoming for visitors. Course in great condition and truly challenging for all golfers with the variety of tees. We played twice as we enjoyed our first round so much!
Very challenging and fun course with excellent employees.
I have played this course three times, once in 2000 (was really impressed)once in 2008 and last 08/03/2014. The last two were terrible. Each time I play this course I am impressed with the possibilities for this course. The last two trips the carts could not even climb the hills on the back 9. Love pushing my golf cart up and hill and then try to hit a tee shot. There were NO maintenance people to be seen on the last trip. They had damage to one of the holes due to a flash flood over the 4th of July this year. None of the greens had been mowed for a least 1 day. The bunkers were not raked and some had weeds 2 to 3 foot high growing in them. The final complaint is that this course, even though it is located in high desert, had no drinking water on the course except for two vending machines, one of which was out of order. I would NOT RECOMMEND this course to anyone (well maybe my worst enemy). The course visually appears to be in receivership. I dont know this as a fact it is just the appearance. Save your money, there are several courses in the area that are much better.
Fun golf, but a bit tricked up. Bring some golf balls for back 9.
Great Course. Bring your A GAME.
Great staff good course great rates overall A plus
Beautiful, challenging course. Affordable with friendly atmosphere.
Crazy lay out on some holes significant elevation changes, course is in okay/bad condition. wouldnt recommened if your a high handicapper unless you like losing balls in the sage brush. Two stars says it all.
Fun course, challenging water, unique elevated tees.
Funky golf course with great views and not normally too crowded.
This is my favorite course in the Carson City area. For the price and the challenge, one cant beat this course.Sunridge offers an expansive amount of water hazards on both the front and back holes. These holes vary in length and difficulty, but are typically par fours around 350 yards from the white tees. There are straight fairways, dog legs, multiple bunkers, soft greens and challenging slopes. The back nine, in my opinion, is where Sunridge really shines. It gives the player a wide range of obstacles, including large amounts of elevation to challenge players of all skill levels. With the large amount of golf courses in the Reno/Carson/Tahoe area, one would be remiss if they didnt try Sunridge at least once.
Love this course, especially the back 9. A great value
I love this course I love golfing with my dad.
Most awesome course in the valley.
Well maintained, reasonablly pricef
Very clean holes.
Keep going, it a challenge. But, worth it
Pretty
Always a great time.
This course is not for a beginner. Bring a lot of balls if you arent an outstanding player. Layout of this course is insane! The back nine holes are like nothing in the area.
Fun
