Great brunch. Wonderful, friendly and fast service. Food is good quality, medium to large portions.

Although we are in a pandemic, there is still a great vibe of music and good food!

We had a wonderful time. Great atmosphere, food and service. The steak salad and ribs in a bag were my favorites. The staff took SUCH good care of us especially Aaron the general manager. Our entire group agreed we like how he runs his business. Highly recommend.

They have a nice atmosphere sat outside had some margaritas ate some tacos, chips and salsa they were very tasty. The Music was just getting started, and fire pits were on. It is a great place to bring friends from out of town!!

Excellent drinks, particularly their cocktails. This place is lively and lots of fun, even more so on the weekends. The patio after 5pm is pretty packed, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so arrive early if you want to stay a bit. They have dancing and music on the weekends, with lots of older folks. Servers are very nice and attentive. Highly recommend!

I have to admit that I really enjoy it here. I always pass by and the music is always loud and sounds like people are having a lot of fun.I came here once for a Yelp Elite party and I always wanted to return to give them a try and dine in the restaurant.Came here on a Saturday evening and Im glad I did. We ordered food and had a few drinks and listened to the live band. Had the roasted chicken and my BF had the steak plate. Yum! The fries were delicious and the chicken was tender. Also, I was able to substitute my starch for vegetables.Our server was very nice too but bummer I forgot her name.On certain nights theres live music. Ive danced on the dance floor a few times now and the crowd is always on fire. Keep in mind that the crowd are older people. I personally love it. Check out their entertainment portion and head to Coyote Bar for a fun evening. :)

Happy we stopped here for lunch. Ordered the lobster chowder and salad with corn bread. Large pieces of lobster in a creamy soup base and the salad greens were fresh. Delicious. Waitress was friendly and well attended to our table. Will definitely go back.

1st night in North County as a new resident.Very appealing decor and atmosphere, inviting.Bowl of salsa was boring, flavorless.Ordered smoked chicken enchiladas and waitresses said they are flavorful. Sadly she wrong. No flavor. Fresh well presented but even the sauce lacked flavor.Great margaritas! But not returning.

Good place for older folks. Most people are older then 23, less drama you get to enjoy yourself with your friends. A more mature crowd and the drinks are also cheap.

If you are looking for a good place to go with great food, atmosphere and staff then this is the place. We were there on karaoke night and it was very lively on the patio, which also had the fire pits and heaters running.The food was exceptional as well. I had one of their burgers and and fish tacos. Nothing but flavor in every bite. The staff was super friendly and very attentive to our table.I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

My friend & I were on a weekend getaway to Carlsbad and just walking around when we heard the music. We followed it and found this place and were very grateful we did. You cant see it off of the main streets and it is tucked into a little shopping plaza. The atmosphere is very comfortable and fun. They have live music and a large outdoor patio outside. Indoors is a beautiful spacious bar, lots of comfortable seating and rvrn a lounge area with couches. This is the perfect place for fun adult socialising. The food is fresh & delicious and so are the drinks. The wait staff are friendly and efficient.

Love the music, people and the atmosphere. Ran into a guy I knew years ago. Never dated him, we just worked together. I saw him and his wife leaving Coyote one night and he said dont talk to him whenever he is with his wife, she is very jealous. Okay, okay, I wont but then, he almost ran her over when he was backing up and getting ready to leave. I am not A big fan of the menu there, but they sure do get some great bands and when you have good music, wild & crazy people and a beautiful gorgeous day, Look Out!, you are in for a hell of a fun time!!!

Good food and live music weekend nights. The salsa that comes with the chips is amazing. It can be too loud to talk at times, but its fun to watch people dancing to the music. My mom lives the grilled cornbread that comes with the salads

We are there twice during a recent stay in Carlsbad. Warm atmosphere with seating inside or outside to enjoy the frequent live music. Seemed to be a mix of locals and visitors ( during the season). Being right next to the train station just adds to the place.Good menu selection and a very helpful staff to help.

Food was great, we sat outside and ate some appetizers had a live band honestly the only reason it’s not five stars is because the live band was a little rough to listen to.

Cool place. Good music. Most happening place in Carlsbad village area.Good service, great appetizers, great drinks.Loud but yet does not impede a conversation.Pretty packed usually in the weekends. Valet parking on the other side is very convenient and and not too expensive.We always meet here to have appetizers and drinks then move on to other spots for dinner. But dinner here is also good by the looks of what is being served in other tables.

Been coming here for years hubby loves the grilled corn, and I like pretty much everything! Great place to come for weekend brunch our to listen to music around five!

Excellent Mexican inspired cuisine with a friendly and accommodating staff. The four mini tacos -- two with chicken, two with beef -- were wonderful. Though not on the menu, they were happy to make grilled fish tacos for my dining companion.

Had a great time watching my friend and my favorite band Wazabe Blue performing, great food and service, great place to hang out and meet people.

I will never go back to this club again. The venue its self is really trashy and small. I have never been in a situation of losing my phone. I went with a group of 5 and 3 people out of the 5 got are phones stolen. Nothing against the DJ he was great! Just very angry that this situation happened at this club. People be alert when coming here or anywhere else.

The food and service were both good at Coyote. We went there last Sunday as a group of 4 to brunch - each got bottomless mimosas, a $12-$15 meal and our bill totaled to about $100. Three days later the friend who picked up the tab on one card (so it could be easy for the waitress) noticed that she was double charged for the meal, the charge was over $200 . After calling and consulting with the manager, Aaron, we were told that “the cameras were down and they could not verify that the waitress double swiped the card by mistake, sorry.” Although he was polite, Coyote was not willing to investigate or refund the double charge. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

My wife had a bee in her food when we brought it to the waitresses attention she let the manager know..she said they viewed it on the camera and verified there was a bee in her food that flew away after she took it of her plate .they did not charge us for her plate.

What a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a spacious indoor dining room with many TVs for viewing sports. In addition, there is a lovely patio area with multiple fire pits when the temperature dips. When we visited the weather was spectacular and we opted for the patio. Our server Jamie, was prompt, personable and professional. I had a tasty bloody mary and my girlfriend had the bottomless mimosas.The menu offers west coast twist on standard brunch fare. We ordered the eggs benedict and the mini tacos (nothing mini about them). The food was terrific, service outstanding and ambiance was worth a drive. We will definitely be back.

Was visiting there with my wife and the place was recommended by our Uber driver. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. 5$ margaritas and cheap tacos on a Tuesday night. The karaoke on the patio was entertaining also.

Came here on a Friday night for dancing and drinks. The DJ was pretty good. He played a good mix of music from today, the 90s and the 2000s. We got here before 11 so we didnt need to pay to come in. The only complaint was the drinks seemed water down. My friend ordered shots of liquor straight and it tasted really off.

The food is good and plentiful. Rita the Manager is super awesome. The staff is thorough, polite, and always greets you with a smile. Even on a brisk Saturday night the live band Nu Vintage kept the dance floor crowded with people. This is a must visit if ever in Carlsbad San Diego!

Place is allot of fun and the food is always good. Really nice staff they have serving always. Its probably the best place to go in Carlsbad for live entertainment. Recommend for sure!Note to owner: The outside seating is nice but you know if you could figure out someway to reconfigure or remodel that area so you didnt have such an obstacle course getting around patrons and the bands that play at busy times that would be so awesome! Perhaps something covered and an official stage?

Fun place. Nice mix of people. A bit touristy but not too much. Food is pretty good. Better than you would expect in a touristy area. Nice Tequila selection.

The friendly staff and really great tasting food and the most fun bands. I thought Disneyland was the happiest place on earth, but its really the Coyote.

While trying to navigate out of the crowd I found an open area by the front door. I was immediately approached by a bouncer who instructed me it was either “in or out”. I responded with “okay, I’ll go outside.” My response was met with being forcibly pushed and shoved out of the bar. When asked what I did, the bouncer told me it was “for being a jackass” and I was not allowed back inside. No sooner than a minute or two later, the same bouncer forcibly pushed a female and her friend out of the bar. What they did, I do not know, but in my case the action taken by the security guard was not only unreasonable but completely unwarranted. I will not be back to this bar, and I hope management can provide its staff with the appropriate training so others do not fall victim to the same scenario I did.

The one star is only because our server was incredibly sweet other than that it was a zero! We ordered drinks and an appetizer, two entrees and 4 drinks. Our food was old tasting, my smoked chicken plate with rice and beans literally tasted like hard rice bits in bottom of steam pan that shouldve never been served. The chicken was ok nothing like menu described standard rotisserie chicken in my opinion. The mushroom lettuce wraps were so thrown together you couldnt even eat them as intended. The mushrooms were cold and not cooked thoroughly and entire plate was mess. My husband ordered rack of ribs so so his sides the corn which is boasted up on menu as being something special...was dried up and not even edible or room temperature. His fries were good. If youre looking for music this is good place to grab drinks but nothing more. We sat forever before even getting beverages or silverware many employees inside with no customers not sure why our overworked waitress was serving entire patio. We will never go back.

This is a place to go with friends and have a truly great time with an older and mature crowd. You can let your hair down and truly enjoy yourself. The awesome fire pits and atmosphere the great bands the food is good you can go on and on. I go there as often as I can being that I dont live in San Diego so thats probably once a month or once every other month

Great food and atmosphere

One of my favorite nighttime spots. Every Friday and Saturday night they have a live band performing until around 9 and then a DJ comes in. Fire pits outside help make a nice relaxing atmosphere with craft beer on tap. Place has good appetizers. My only complaint is the bathroom. For as busy as this place gets the bathroom I feel is in need of a overhaul. After about an hour with plenty of guys drinking the bathroom stinks like urine and its very compacted. Other than the bathroom the place is nice to go for a night out.

Great food options (the Cajun Pasta is always tasty) and a lively atmosphere with live music and dancing. Some outdoor seating. Feels like a place that a lot of 30-40+ aged suburbanites and vacationers like to visit to eat too much good food and get hammered, so if you want low key, this isnt it. :-)

Amassing place my wife & I came here to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. I cant wait to come back. Love Carlsbad Ca. our first time visiting.

Great food

Ive been going here for years and have recommended Coyote to anyone new or traveling through North San Diego county. Unfortunately, the manager doesnt train the waitress staff. There policies are not enforced consistently. When I was asked why I got my check before I got my dinner I was told it was because the waitress didnt recognize me as regular. I think thats stupid and I expressed that to the manager who defended the waitress only to send another waitress to offer to pay for my drink. I dont want anything free and it wasnt the point. If that is the policy then state your policy and apply it to all customers. The manager should focus on leading and mentoring new hires instead of trying to look cute. Please get it together and dont ruin a fun place.
