Amazing place and amazing owner. I come here with my kids and enjoy every minute of it. Many different pieces of art that you can do. I took my son who loves art as a present on his birthday and he loved it.

So much fun on our vacation! Lorna is THE BEST! We were vacationing on Captiva Island and drove to the area to visit family for the day. We had heard about how great the studio was so we stopped in Hands on Art Gallery, so the kids could make a souvenir coconut to take home...what a blast they had! Our boys are 12 and 15 and they had more fun painting the coconuts than we could have imagined. It was a great way to stay out of the blazing sun for a 1/2 day. I painted one, as well, and it was fun and easy to do and turned out great! Lorna, the owner, was so helpful and patient and enthusiastic with all of us. She is truly a natural at teaching kids how to do art and showing us step by step how to do the projects. The studio is so cool with all kinds of mediums and art projects that kids and adults can do-we will definitely be back as soon as we come back to Florida!

I had such a great time with my friends and made some beautiful art. She was very helpful and shared great ideas. The place was very clean and organized. Definitely go visit for a good time !

Love everything about Hands on Art Gallery. This is a must to go place to be creative. If you think you cant paint. Your wrong. Lorna is amazing. She will take you step by step and you will be surprise at what you can do with her guidance. Brought my daughter when she was down. We had a great time creating together.Love love this place.

Lorna is the best, we so enjoy going to Hands On. She has the patience of Jobe. She spends as much time with you as you need, actually makes you feel as though you really have a talent for painting. I do recommend her shop for a very fun afternoon. We plan on doing another project with her soon.

What a hidden gem! From the moment our family walked in Lorna made us feel right at home. She helped us pick out and create a beautiful one of a kind piece for my father. Also she was patient and kind with my 2yr old who got to create some wonderful pieces as well. A must do!

Hands On is a wonderful art gallery and Studio. I have completed 2 different project with the help and guidance of Lorna, the owner. She is not only knowledgeable about a multitude of techniques, she is friendly, patient and has a great sense of humor! I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and will definitely be back! Was looking for that unique gift for selective family member, and was extremely happy I choose to stop here. Lorna was really helpful, and her prices actually made me feel a little guilty. Will definitely be back for a lesson on fluid painting! P.S. they loved the gift. :)

I have been to the Hands on Art Gallery twice - loved both visits.On my 2nd visit I took in some plain tiles from a table I have and with Lorna’s guidance was able to make bright colorful pieces using the puddling technique. It was so much fun and turned out great.Lorna is ready with a variety of ideas to try.

Lorna and her gallery are amazing!!! My 14 year old daughter and I walked in shortly after she opened in July. We are now so addicted that my daughter volunteers with Lorna!! She is an amazing teacher and imaginative. I am not an artist but I have already created a fluid painting, wine glass and soon a Christmas decoration!!! So far with her instructions, everything has turned out beautiful! Kid friendly and adult relaxing!!!

I am addicted to this place. I go in and come out with a different project ever time. Lorna gives great instructions. Love that I can drop in or join a workshop. Great place for decorating ideals & gift giving. Love the relaxing atmosphere. And a great place to get together with your friends & to make new ones.

What a fun and great time we all had!!Lorna was warm, welcoming, encouraging, and patient. She explained the different techniques and options clearly and very reassuring that we would be successful and pleased with our outcomes, and we were!!We are 4 ladies who’ve been friends for 47 years and are here celebrating our 65th birthdays. Took my best friend on an art adventure for his birthday and we actually ended up walking in here completely by mistake. But that mistake was best one we made because Hands On proved to be one of the best art gallery/studio Ive ever went into. This is mostly due to the owner Lorna who is very helpful and supportive of everyones individual ideas and unquiness. Its a small place, but nonetheless full of beautiful art. Lorna will help you get started and coach you on how to best go about the piece youre working on. There are many different canvas surfaces to choose from; my friend and I both chose to work with wood and they came out very nice with Lornas help. I will definitely come back here and recommend this business to others. So happy we ended up stumbling into this place.
