Ive reserved this place for more than one event. Its clean, has everything you need to serve a nice dinner party or buffet, is unique, and using it supports the Canton preservation society. The staff is very accommodating.

Its a thrift store. Reasonable but not amazing prices, better than Goodwill.Most things are lovingly displayed - its unusual to see anything but the tools jumbled together.Although they have some textiles, its not the best place to shop for clothes.Very pleasant staff.

Beautiful place

We rented the Hartung House for a family party. The house is nicely decorated and well supplied for medium size parties. Many of the supplied dishes and utensils were incompletely cleaned after preceding events. We had to sort through them to find the ones that were acceptable to set out for our guests.Once the event was over, we were very careful to return the house to a better condition than we found it. Nonetheless, the house refused to return our deposit, claiming that the tables and chairs were not returned to their original location To the extent they were moved at all, it was a matter of inches or feet (we moved them to properly clean the floor!).So, when you rent from the Hartung House, factor into the price the fact that they will not return your deposit. They will find whatever minor problems they can to make sure you dont get it back!
