Its amazing that this gallery is in Canton - it easily competes with anything in New York City. Visiting this place is a walk through the history of great photography. They also have top of the line traveling exhibits and great events with famous photographers.

Very nice little place. I stopped in to see the Steve McCurry exhibit, and the range of photographers was impressive. I couldnt believe such a great museum existed in Canton. I will definitely be paying attention for future exhibits.

There is an extensive permanent collection of old photographs as well as exhibits that come and go. All available for sail to my knowledge, both prints and originals. All in all a very impressive use of such a small space.

My husband and I had a gorgeous wedding reception at the Saxton. The space provided enough room for 200 guests, vendors, DJ, and caterers. The gallery has a good amount of tables and chairs available, and Maria is very helpful in planning events. We ordered all our alcohol through them, and while the beer prices were high, the liquor and wine prices were reasonable. The gallery made for gorgeous photos and our wedding day was a dream come true.

Some of the finest art you will find anywhere around, the collection may not be massive but, with some of the most well known photographers on the planet, and some of their best work, this gallery is one you do not want to pass up if in town. The gallery also has a showing of local artists from across Stark county feature every single month.
