Canby Pond

Lots of ducks and its a good place for kids to fish. Theres actually a sign that says you have to be younger than 18 to fish here and you can only take certain fish once a day.

Small little pond in a cute, little community park. I love to come here and photograph the wood ducks.

This is a great place to take your kids not only is there play structure theres a picnic area theres a pond theres a little late its a great place

You can feel your anxieties ease as you go down the hill. This park is not over run with geese & is a nature lovers best friend.

It was nice lots of people but everyone was distancing there was an ice cream truck there for the children to get ice cream there were people barbecuing children who are running and playing everywhere it was really nice

Its a pretty small pond compared to one just behind Canby community park. But, its stocked with fish often and a great place to take the family. The trout were jumping when we went just this April. It was a enjoyable experience.

Choked with weeds. You cant even get a line in the water. It sits on top. More like a cess pool to be honest. Too bad for the kids.

Very full of wildlife... except fish. Went around 12, and left at 4:30, and caught 1 fish which wasnt even regulation size. Pond filled with slime and mossy greens. Other than those, very nice and subtle. Right along the riverside if you want to fish for salmon or steelhead. Bathrooms are kept very clean. Good place to bring your kids if you need some time to relax or fish.

Its a pleasant community park with something for all. A little pond for kids to fish or feed the ducks. Ample parking. Playground. Restrooms. Benches. River. Within a couple blocks are a variety of eateries. A&W/KFC is our favorite in that area.

Canby pond is great, water is perfect, people are friendly and positive, just like an old time swimming hole, except with parking it is a bit tight but doable one little thing I saw some garbage on the trail in come on people this is Oregon PLEASE PACK IT IN PACK IT OUT keep it beautiful for everyone

Good location. Close to river have picnic areas. Have life preservers you can put on before u walk in river. They are free. Small fishing pond for Veterans and public to fish. A few ducks live there also. They have a covered area to picnic under. Have doggy bags when u walk dog. Popular place.

Great place for kids and disabled people to fish. Worth going and checking it out especially if you are an avid fisherman.

Fun place for a picnic. The playground is nice and there is also a big field you can run around in.

Its calming, if its a sunny day and you are having a bad day its. So peace ful to go and relax more when its summer the water is so nice when u swim in it.

The river is nice and warm. Plenty of good spots for fishing. The river is perfect. Its just lazy enough to float down on a ring for hours.

Great park, mature landscaping. My daughter almost got bit by a nutria that was guarding its babies, but always have fun there.

Nice place to go! One of few places with a merry go round anymore. Great for anything outside!

The river is gorgeous. I only wish there were more trails. And that they would clean up the trails they do have.

Nice shaded playground for kids, nice view of small river, but pond is very shallow and full of weeds and moss, daughter could not cast once without reeling in weeds and moss.

This park is hidden right on the edge of town. Theres a swimming spot with life jackets available, a fishing pond, an outdoor play structure, public bathrooms, multiple picnic tables, even a covered picnic table area. The most unique thing about this park is they have a small outdoor amphitheater!

Great for kids but youll spend more time dealing with the weeds than catching fish even after they have stocked it. They need to clean that nasty weed infested pond up.

Very relaxing to watch the ducks in the pond, and feed the squirrels and birds, very stress free, also a perfect place to walk your dog.

If youre looking for a fantastic location for a family picnic, this is the spot. There are some outdoor grills available if you need them, just get here early to secure your spot. This has been a favorite relaxation spot for my family for many years. One of the best kept secrets in the area.

We went to Canby Pond to take our girls, ages 8 and 10, fishing. Unfortunately, the pond seems to have been taken over by an algae bloom so extensive that their bait was more likely to snag one of the numerous frogs or perhaps one of the young ducks. The only clear area in the pond was in an inaccessible spot near the back... (I was more likely going to be able to make nori from the amount of algae that the girls reeled in)The river, on the other hand, was clean and inviting. There were shallow, peaceful areas for younger children to play and deep and swift areas for more experienced swimmers and those wishing to raft. Across the river were beautifully shaded areas for those who wished to relax.... Everyone was friendly and there were ample swim vests for children to wear.The playground is larger than most parks and there was a field to play futbol or football if anyone was so inclined.The numerous picnic benches were inviting in shade or sun.Also, the bathrooms were kind of gross....
