Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum

Beautifully preserved, wonderful tour guide! It was a perfect weekday escape into yesterday.

We came to the Granger Homestead to view the Festival of the Trees. Different organizations in the area decorated Christmas Trees which were to be auctioned off to benefit Granger Homestead. The main building was a lovely example of period architecture. The staff was eager to tell us the story of the building, the people who lived there, and, of course, a bit about the trees on display.Although viewing the entire collection of trees only took 20 minutes or so, everyone enjoyed the visit.

Christkindl Festival!! A liitle tough to get here today, need to start earlier, but always a nice kickoff to the holiday season. We have favorite vendors that we visit every year here!! So go if you can!!

Christmas Festival was disappointing, parking lay out was poor, should be front entrance, walking to far in cold to get in, shouldnt be extra money for festival of trees. Tents were warm, nice displays though.

This is a really neat historical place. We go to the annual Christkindl Market and have gone to the Civil War Days a few times.

We had a great time. Sadly confusion on Friday with shuttle bus drivers and volunteers had us waiting almost an hour to get back to our cars at the high school parking lot.

We went to a small wedding here and it was nice and very unique. A carriage museum doesnt seem interesting until you see the craftsmanship put into each one. If that kind of thing interests you this is a cool place.

This show had a good variety of things on offer. They should work on reaching higher quality artisans.The heated tents were comfortable, the mud inside and out was not. Buses used to transport us from nearby school parking lots ran frequently. Being from out of town,I didnt know there were 2 middle school buildings-- fair warning! Chriskindle too crowed to enjoy

I feel like they’re making it harder to attend Christkindl. They waited too long to put down straw so the entrances to the tents were a mud slide you couldn’t avoid. Not a fan of a shuttle at all. The line standing in the rain and mud was as long as your arm. If you’re going to force the shuttle, people should be able to step on to a waiting bus. The heat didn’t work in one tent. So cold you could see your breath.

It was beautiful, the many crafts and artists that are at the show, are great. Its very cold and windy, also muddy from yesterdays rains, but good overall.

We attended the Civil War Encampment and it was fantastic and informative.

They are really good at staying in character and they have the answer to any question we throw at them.

We attended the Twas the Night Before Christmas event for a second year in a row. Our daughter loves it!

Great venue for a friends wedding, with staff happy to show us round the house even quite late into the evening.

Nice place to visit if you can find the time & parking.

Went to chriskindle at Granger homestead loved it as always.

Heated tents was a plus. Lots of craft vendors. Problem was Parking... town restricted parking on main road and way too many side streets near Homestead. Shuttle at school only had parking for @50 cars, so had to drive around waiting for people to leave so parking spots opened up.

Lovely high end merchandise. Unique one of a kind items.

Went here forca winter festival... Out freaking standing location.

We were just there for civil war days. We had a blast
