This is a small, little visited, historical site outside Cambridge, MD. The 2 main attractions are a one room schoolhouse, and a large windmill... both dating from the 1800s. You can enter the school house which is furnished as it would have been. There are markers explaining the history of this specific School House. The windmill cant be entered, but it is a very impressive sight. And there are markers explaining its history. There are two other buildings that you can enter and explore. This is a very interesting site to see. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is that the hours are uncertain. The time we were there no one was around and one of the buildings was locked... Even though the site was supposed to be open.
Great place to visit for a look back in history. Windmill was awesome as well as the village, really enjoyed the old and unique!
Easy to get to. Historic place overlooked.
A fascinating step back in time#
I like very much the kind treatment that I have received here from the workers of the foundation.
Very interesting.
I had seen the windmill on a calendar but didnt know where it was located until yesterday. It is quite interesting and situated in a lovely location on the Little Choptank River.I want to go back when the lighting is better to make photos.
